I know that my computer entirely freezes from just running the Windows Store version of DRG.
Loads up, I can walk around for a bit and then everything stops.
I kept Task Manager open to see if I could notice anything spike really hard before the crash, but to no avail.
I tested this 6 times with 100% occurrence in various parts of the space rig.

Ive been in groups that have had the memory issues. But haven't yet had it happen to me specifically. The times seem at random as one was well into the mission, we were just finished the objective and were cleaning up minerals. One time was just a minute or two into the game. There doesn't seem to be any triggers to the memory issue.

I gotta chime in like this. Stuff. Happens. It's awkward when it does but you shouldn't hassle the Dev team for it, they obviously feel frustrated enough that it happened but venting at them about it really isn't helping outside of a useful but report context. Not a mod or trying to give out just gotta say don't be surprised when an early Access game is early access just switch gears for the night and trust that all that can be done is being done. Xbox side is golden, loads of games going so it seems like some kind of store verification issue on the Msoft Store side. I know it's frustrating 🍻

Alright so, clearly we didn't fix the Xbox crashes. That is very disappointing. We didn't have any debug info to go off, so it is very hard for us to figure it out. In addition, we played Xbox in the office the whole day yesterday, and only had 1 crash that we fixed by reducing overall memory use. but still, when we dont any crashes it's very hard to debug.
In regards to the Windows version, it seems that no one can play it, since it just tells you to visit the store. We have no idea why this is, but will look into it and contact Microsoft for help.
We are very sorry for these issues, it sucks for everyone, but we are trying to figure it out. I dont have an ETA on it, and it seems very risky for us to work on the crashes until Monday where we are all in the office. I will let you know if I get any updates.

Other than it crashing after 44+mins of gameplay as well as it just making its usual buzzing sound when it stops and crashes, i dont know what else there was. The time for the crash on the 3rd stage was usually after at least one mission objective was completed

The most prudent thing to do would be to roll the hotfix back, considering that it has made thousands of people unable to play the game, not just a couple. I realize that it would be more prudent to try and fix this on Monday as well, which rolling back the hotfix would allow to happen. Sure everyone would have to deal with the same bugs as before, aka memory leaks causing crashes, the mission control guy not having any audio, etc..... but atleast folks would be playing the game.

I'm really not sure but I think any interraction with updates & patches costs a fair wad of cash so it might be a case of damage is done, get the fix through and push on rather than throw more money at it and have to fix it anyway. Don't know though

I dont know why it would cost them money to update their game, other then paying employees their wages and the overhead costs of the studio, but that would be there regardless.
But, even if Microsoft did for some reason charge them to update their game, I'm extremely sure that cost would be pennies on the dollar compared to the revenue they would gain (or lose) by having a botched update that makes the game unplayable during a sale where the player base is expanding.

Not sure if this information will be any useful to the Devs but on xbox one il explain the way i have experienced some crashes. So i am in Canada and was playing with two mates who are from the UK one of them was the host.
We would get into a mission and play fine for a little but then i would notice my game is bugged as me throwing lights out did not actually throw any but showed that i used one shortly after the game would freeze and few mins after kick me out of the game now what i noticed was that when i get kicked it also effected the other person in the game (not the host) and the other person got kicked at same time when the game fully finished crashing me out.
Another thing i noticed was that when i did not join my friends back they were able to play without crashes and they are both from UK so i think it’s something to do with connection issues which might explain why when the developers were testing the game for crashes not many occurred because i assume you would have been playing in the same area and not long distance.
Another issue i seen was when trying rejoin my friends game and the game put me to loading screen when it actually properly showed the screen it would never actually join but kick me out after a few mins of being on loading screen. However sometimes the loading screen would not show up at all and just be a black screen with little lights here and there flickering and in those cases i was able to rejoin my friends game almost every time. Then game works for a few minutes and crashes. I did also notice it happened more often when i was taking damage. From enemies or friendly fire. One time my friend threw something and it hit me in the head and caused a crash.
No idea if any of this info will be useful / already been reported but i just game few days ago so just stating the way i experienced the crashes in case any info will be useful.

@cedar crystal i was experiencing the same no audio output problem from jukebox, karl, in game music. As much as it sucks glad someone else had the same issue.

Game audio is there but u have to turn up volume really loud and carefully have to listen for it
I turned up my volume to 50 out of 100 and I barely heard mission control guys voice line in spacerig

Also for Xbox one, i haven’t had any problems on the Xbox one X but my friend who has the normal Xbox one crashes almost every mission

That could be the case, Crits. Im having major lag on my Xbox one and none from other games. And on MS store, no lag what so ever.
