win10/xbox version barely works.... you may want to buy steam version since networking and the developers seem to want to focus on steam

i bought 4 copies for friends... i now consider that waste of money i know its alpha and i know xbox/win10 developes slowly but its also not great that they post steam videos and broadcasts in the microsoft store showing the game working. we are 2 patches behind and the only update we get is sometime next week. 1st impressions are a bitch. we get 10-20 min of gameplay then disconnect. each and every time. I guess the important lesson here is the phrase "may not work at all" does sometime apply

is this an issue with the crossplay or is it regardless of that? The ability to play the game on windows10 or your xbox with 1 copy is also kind of a perk. They said that initially updates on xbox will be delayed but it will speed up over time so it wont lag behind as much

its all around although win10 is almost playable but you skip every second or two on a regular interval and any form of matchmaking takes sever restarts and tells you that its not available...then occasionally you get a super laggy game... xbox runs perfect for about 10 min and then massive lage spikes disconnecting you or others. ive only been able to complete matches by being constantly re invited to a session. ... crossplay seems to have no effect...but an xbox gets kicked and win10 lags .. this is over several isps/houses/areas (comcast/fios) we all tried it with similar results... actually day 1 is the only time we had successfully completed a game

Hey fellow Miners! Xbox one player here. I've only read up about 10 comments and I can clearly see that I'm not the only one encountering connection issues. I joined the Discord to see if there was a solution but it appears it'll take an update/fix. I notice heavy lag every time a swarm gets spawned, then most every time it causes a disconnect. Occasionally it's even the mini swarms that cause it. I find solo play to be stable(of course), but it can be brutal without proper help/multiple classes.

For what it's worth, although I do experience occasional disconnects and lag spikes that'll disconnect everyone playing with me, more often than not my games (xb1 version) have been stable and able to be completed.
I get kicked by trolls more often than I get disconnected

I play on win10 with xbox friends only and often have issues with out of sync caves, for example red sugar is visible for me but not for the others and vice versa and I cannot mine the red sugar, or in the last game, forgot the biome, but there are large black rocks in the passage ways. They occur at a different place for the than for the others so I have invisible blocks in front of me. Also I occasionally have rubberbanding, but that could have also been my internet connection. All of the time an xbox player is the host

Got a Question for Xbox.

Is Multiplayer enabled for Xbox 1 when you haven't purchased it? Silly question I know, but would love a feel of Multiplayer on it first. One reason I ask is because a friend and I are always getting a network connection loss message.

It should support cross play, although it appears there's a common connection issue currently. Hopefully the patch that comes out in a week or so will help solve that, but currently I have no fixes to offer.

Xbox gets the message that you've been kicked if you are kicked. I've had what he's referring to happen to me, also noticed frame rate drop when it happens. I think it' more like the game/host having trouble maintaining the connection when the drop pod comes in. I frequently encounter disconnects "lost connection to server" messages. Hoping the update coming tomorrow helps.

The newest Xbox update is just updates 8 and 9 of the Steam version rolled into one. You should be able to look at those. As for potentially unique bugfixes (like fixes to crossplay, etc) idk where you would find them. I'm not sure if there even were any in this last update.

The Xbox/Steam crossplay doesn't have anything to do with Microsoft or Valve at this time, it just hasn't been implemented yet.

Has anyone had any cross-play progress? We just bought 2 copies, one for W10 and one for Xbox. Both joined a party and friended. On Xbox I can invite the W10 player but he never sees the invites. Or if he does and he clicks them it immediately says, "Multiplayer Session Ended". On his end even if he hosts a private mission his "Invite Friends" option is grayed out.

Load game on both PC and Xbox
[Xbox] Host new private game from Mission Terminal
[Xbox] Click "Invite Friends" and select friend on W10 (we are friends, he shows as only)
[Xbox] Invite gets sent.
[PC] Friend checks for invite in Xbox app, does not see it. Does not see it in game.

You can see the invite in Windows 10's notifications (I never see them in the Xbox App itself). You can also click on your friend's name on the Xbox App, and you'll see a "Join XXXX" on him

Didn't see this when I posted in #drg-chat. Me and a friend just bought it today for Win10 and Xbox. We can usually connect to each others games but within 2-3 minutes one of us loses connection to the game and gets kicked. We've had one game work so far out of probably 20-30

Anyone getting a black screen in OBS when using game capture? I've never had an issue with OBS before. I'd rather not use screen capture, which does work, if possible. I've tried the anti-cheat and running as admin as suggested by others with similar issues. I'm using the windows store version of the game.

"I've had the same spectator glitch, what is weird about it is that there are controls and it functions, (on Xbox) pressing down on left analog will result in going down, and right analog in going up. pressing A will also make you go up however there is no button to go down. In it I can move anywhere around the map and have X-ray vision basically lol. The only time it happened is if I get kicked from a game, then immediately rejoin or get disconnected and rejoin. I have it from 30 sec all the way up to 2 minutes until my character loads in."

Honestly modern consoles and the average gaming pc come pretty close nowadways in terms of ability. Still can't scratch those 10,000 dollar systems but most pc players dont own that kinda ware either.

i just had an idea for a new game mode in the mining operations i call it "defend and secure" (info) you come in the regular drop pod but you go on a series of tunnels and you travel until you find a mining head or what ever it is that's in point extraction but it has had an error on launch so you have to defend it till Bosco has fixed it for launch (he spawns with the group even if its a solo or multiple dwarves in one team)and you have to defend it for 10 minutes during this the glyph-ids or whach a ma call them come in large groups but they only come once every 55 secs but at least 90 are in every spawn, durring the defense only one supply pod will come in the middle of the round but they can be called by the players too once the mining head is fixed the M.U.L.E. will lead the players back to the drop pod (info on surtant mesures) mining head health - 5000- aloud classes- all- swarms? no because you would be dealing with enough enemy's all ready- cave leaches? yes but verry rare-all ores are aloud-glyhpid dreadnoughts?-1 at 5 minutes in to the defense-alien types alloud? all except the wach a ma call em boomer ones-regular side objectives-verry spaced out maps for more acurate battles-on defence completion your team has to fall back to the drop pod and get the hell out of there! rocknstone misson avarage pay 2600 C- casual experience gained from mission completion 1500) bonus objective completion adds 300 C to pay ment - adds 250 experience) hope it becomes a future game mode!so have you mined today?

When I say frozen, the cancel button will not result in exiting quick join, I can switch options as much as I want but I have to exit the program to do anything else

Try hosting a game and inviting someone. It could determine whether the problem is that the game not connecting to the internet properly.

Are there any exemptions you had to make for the game to run when you installed? They could have been restored during the update.

I don't believe you have any level locks for joining multiplayer games

Some modes don't unlock for you from the mission select screen until you rank up a bit, but I don't believe that applies to joining other people's games. I could be wrong though.

match making works on sea of thieves so it's unlikely there is an external setting affecting the app, like a firewall would affect all my apps

kind of really annoying that I have no clue how close the nearest game is, if there are games at all, and where the game I've ended up in is hosted from.

Are you sure it added more than 5000 credits? It may have only actually gifted you once.

When you join the Xbox club and claim the reward then continue into the game from the title screen you will get the 5,000 and if you quit the game and re-launch you will be able to claim again 5,000

#

It goes away if you claim and continue playing because the game has enough time to put you in the Xbox club

found a mineral in this version that I've not seen in the Steam version in all my time getting to rank 17.
can't remember the exact name but it's a non-crafting mineral (like gold) that appears as a bright pink sub-surface chunk and has a name that reminds me of candy. I think "Jelly" was in the name.
come to think of it, If there's a wiki then I guess it would already be common knowledge, but I can't for the life of me work out why this mineral would be version-exclusive.

Hotfix changelist for Xbox One / windows 10 store
Some hours ago we uploaded a hotfix for the Xbox and Windows 10 store.
This is the change we did

Changed the minimum setting for Dynamic resolution for Xbox.

It should fix the blurness in the spacerig 😃
