You see, the bot was abused a lot as a kid. He left his abusive family right as he turned 18. Got a job at a nice company a few countries over. Decided to start a family and settle down. Well one particular year the economy went down the drain, he was laid off from his job. In doing so he began to drink and drink a lot. One evening after a heavy night of drinking he struck his kids and in that moment he saw what he had become; his abusive parents. It shook him to the core and mentally broke him. That's why the bot isn't working right now.

Hello ! So we wre making this mission of escort duty. in a map of length 3 and complexity 3. The first stop was veery difficult because it was difficult to find the fuel in a gigantic room. Then at 20 meters of the objective, the drilldozer make this big U Turn as you can see on my screen.
15 minutes of dugging the map before returning. And my game crash when we arrived at the objective.

Hey I seem to have a bug where whenever I start up the game it goes through the loading screens and arrives at the 'press any key to start' screen. However, when I try to click my screen flicks black for a moment and comes back. Pressing keys on the keyboard doesn't work. Sometimes it will let me through despite the screen flicking to black a few times, and I'll load into the space rig. However, the game will not let me interact with it at all. A mouse cursor appears over the screen and the game won't respond to any inputs by me. It looks as if my computer is treating the game as a window that it cant access. As if the flicking of the screen is it trying to 'tab me back in'. Tabbing in and out manually doesn't change anything. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

the map name isn't the seed. The seed is the numerical string at the bottom. Playing the same mission with the same mission name would result in a different map

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I don't know where else I'd ask. I don't know if this is a game problem or a steam problem, but I was missing a file, so I validated, and the validation always paused at the very end. Resuming it never worked. Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that had the same problem. It paused at finalization, and I couldn't resume it.
Delete this message if it isn't the right place, but in that case could someone at least tell me where to ask about this?

I am still experiencing invisible bugs, even if it could be considered a star wars crossover (a phantom menace), it wasn't great in terms of surviving being also unable to damage it
Also cosmetic shop UI stayed, while character was actually out of the menu and normally controllable. Both issues on steam version.

Right now your best bet to try and minimize those issues is to play around with using -dx11 OR -dx10 in launch options.

@deep quest ive had that issue as well, from other posts it seems like it happens when the game is ending, ie molly running to the drop pod.
i've never had issue joining when game is starting. I've joined when countdown was less than 3 seconds, and i've joined when everyone's still dropping. it just seems like the error is worded a bit wrong

It seems that there is an error with the translation. In English, the error sounds like the multiplayer session has ended.

I have new info regarding my bug thingy, it will only happen when a player is on screen, just now when I was hosting a public server, I didn't encounter the problem, the only bug that I did encounter is the white outline of the mule(not as worse as the picture, just the white outlines I can see minor black lines), but when a new player drops in, it's happened again, if I'm not mistaken, as long as the player is on your screen(when the player is infront of you) no matter how deep he/she is it will always happen (excuse my bad English)

Hello! I just had a bugged Omen machine event in which all 3 of the tower segments appeared in the bottom slot. At least 1 segment was visible above the "lid" of the event before I used the key to prime it. (Win10 edition)

I was having no issues with this game or any others for a few months. Recently as of the last 3-4 weeks half the time I try to play DRG I get a "black screen crash" it's not at game start up and not every game but it's really starting to take a toll and I have tried everything to work out what's going on to no end.
Most of the time the crashes happen when starting a mission or joining an ongoing mission. Solo or multiplayer. Just as the drop pod lands or the extra miner pod lands the screen will go black and the whole computer will lock up and be unresponsive. The only way to get it to stop is to hard reset the pc. Upon starting back up there are no error logs in the event viewer that point to the cause. Temps and parts all fine and less than a year old. Only game that this happens with is DRG.
Occasionally I will get this bug just randomly throughout a mission but majority of the time its when "landing". Also sometimes get it in the Lobby while using the character wardrobe.
I would really appreciate some assistance with this issue.

@glacial terrace I've tried 3 different res options and dropped from ultra down to medium graphics. Didnt improve at all.
It was on 2560x1440 ultra for 200+ hours of game play without issues. Before this started happening.
Have updated, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers twice and tried two different driver versions. No improvement.

@long panther I have a friend who had the game installed for about a year and a half. That is, during this time, he only updated the game. As a result, his game often started crashing. He tried a lot of things (Including cache checking), didn't help.
He was helped by a complete reinstallation of the game (That is, deleting ALL game files, including those that remain after uninstalling the application via Steam (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic)).
I would start with this.

@teal cipher yes the screen goes black and the whole pc locks up. Only thing I can do is hard resetting the pc by holding the power button. Upon start up the game is closed so no in game error log and the Windows event viewer has no information about the crash just that the pc was shut down unexpectedly.

Run a stress test on both your cpu and gpu either concurrently or separately for about 30 minutes. I’m not looking for temperatures, I’m looking for hardware stability under a large synthetic load. If issues arise then you’ll need to modify GameUserSettings.ini to cap the frame rate. I’d also recommend playing around with using -dx10 OR -dx11 OR -dx12 in launch options. The game recently updated to a newer version of UE4 that isn’t playing nice with hardware that doesn’t support dx12. I’d recommend doing a surface scan to make sure dx12 on your windows install is not corrupted.
Another thing to be absolutely certain of, while likely not the cause, is to disable Radeon anti lag.

Posting here because googling hasn't helped. My voice chat doesn't appear to be working in game. What I have done to try and fix this is change the recording and playback devices used in windows and changed the bind key to push to talk and nothing still works.
Ive also tested the mic in steam and that works fine

just had a drill escort mission that had a honeycomb in the last room with the hearthstone. The wasps were flying around but we couldn't find the honeycomb to kill it. Started getting chain killed by it during the "defend the drill part". We looked everywhere for the honeycomb and never found it

Friend having an issue where the game runs smooth for like 15 seconds in the lobby, then the screen freezes, but audio still plays and he can hear menus and stuff like normal. When he alt+f4's he can briefly see his screen again like normal before it closes. Tried some solutions from the forums but so far nothing seems to fix it

Update 32 Hotfix 6 - The game softlocks when host disconnects - movement controls do not work, Esc doesn't work. So far, 2 out of 2 times the bug occured when host disconnected at the same time as/shortly after dismissing a menu window (2/3 post-mission assignment update, Assignment Board).

I want to set my equipment for the driller. Only one of the set of A, B and C saves.

Every time, I tried a dozen times
Steps to reproduce:
- I go into the equipment terminal
- I set the armours of the driller for set A, B and C
- If I go out and back, only set A saved my setting, B and C belonged default.
Expected Results:
At all other classes it works, it saves the setting in A, B and C, but not at the driller.
Actual results:
Only one set of A, B and C saves, the other doesn't.

has anyone had an issue when doing the escort mission. I thought i could cheese it by digging to the end and grabbing all of the resources and secondary mission. then ran back and started the dozer. the Dozer dug into my tunnels then did a 180 at the refill point and we refilled it. when we started the dozer again it teleported behind the dozer drop point and then continued all the way to the objective. that is when it did a 180 and dug ALL the way to the beginning in a perfect straight line, got to the beginning did another 180 and stopped. been standing on it now for 10 minutes..

For map generation errors, showing the issue is great and all, but so is showing the issue and the map seed it happened on. Take a screenshot of the esc menu. It's way more useful for the devs than just a screenshot of what happened.

Every time, the triumphant explosion of the shell is accompanied with a big lag spike.
Bizarrely I've only ever seen it happen on my PC. I haven't seen the same issue in streams, and neither does it happen to my friend.

Best bet right now with failing to connect to view other lobbies is to restart steam through task manager. If that doesn't work then a complete system restart.

Just leaving a note of:
Doretta's pathfinding or path-creating still needs some work... Went literally in circles for almost an hour and after the 2 stops (which one of them was back at spawn) it's fuel meter went to half, the health UI for Doretta and visual health indicator broke, then the fuel meter went back to full and then after making one last circle finally went for the hearthstone... We won, but at a cost of a little sanity... Oh also it flyed a lot, really a lot...

I'm having an issue where the game runs smooth for like 15 seconds in the lobby, then the screen freezes, but audio still plays and I can hear menus and stuff like normal. When I alt+f4's I can briefly see my screen again like normal before it closes. Tried some solutions from the forums but so far nothing seems to fix it, can someone help me?

EM Turret Discharge on the Stubby currently deals friendly fire to the LURE. This is tragic as the pairing would otherwise be an incredible one. I assume this is a bug. Additionally, sometimes you can activate EM turret discharge from an unbuilt turret, sometimes you cannot. I would like it to be consistent one way or another. Fun little exploit/bug (i guess?) you can perform with the cryo cannon
Spam click the fire button (the longer you do that the longer you'll be able to take advantage of this) and then hold it down and save yourself some ammo
Basically if you spam click, let's say 5 seconds, and then hold down the fire button you will be able to use the weapon for 5 seconds without using any ammo (basically saving 50% of potential ammo)

My friend and I have been having an issue with mule pathing in drill dozer missions during escape phase. We have to dig out a hole around her until she corrects herself and heads to the drop pod, this was taken in solo when I went to do some testing

hi, every time i use a drilldozer i get extremely disruptive graphical glitches, like when a physics object stretches too far.
initially i thought it was just a bug in the first mission but after starting a new mission it occurred again. the only thing i can think that is causing the bug is that i set res scale to 30% in the .ini file.
my specs are:

@azure halo Your gfx card is below the minimum specs and does not support dx12. That's likely where your issues are coming from. You can try to place -dx11 OR -dx10 into launch options and hope for the best, but there's no guarantee those'll work.

There were reports during testing on the experimental branch (or it might've been right after) where the game uses dx12 regardless if you tell it to or not (or at least some parts of it). Using those two launch options I provided is essentially a shot in the dark that they'll take.

We just had a mission where we couldn't find the third liquid morkite well. Small map, salt caverns, two scouts on the team spent 25 minutes trying and driller kept poking around the edges of the map. Anyone else have trouble with all three wells spawning? Made a note of this earlier: bugs with the breach cutter line width. It seems like whenever I load up the game, and use the breach cutter, the line width stays at 1.5 regardless of what i use (t2 line width mod or spinning death). However, for some reason, it started working after I used grenade launcher for a mission. Switching between other classes and playing a mission with them does not seem to fix this bug. This has, so far, happened twice.

@rancid dagger Try the 'Restore Save' button in the ESC menu. Saves are backed up unless you have deliberately turned off cloud saves on Steam.

Some recent bugs I have noticed:
- For clients, the cage opening sound effect plays when you get back in range of the Doretta drop cage.
- If you kill both suckers on a BET-C at the same time, a loud screech sound is heard due to overlapping death sounds
- For clients, if you power attach an ebonut, they take about 10 seconds to register that they have broken.
- There seems to be a small amount of the UI in the top right corner of the screen. It momentarily disappears when you hit ctrl, meaning it is either the Team Repository or the Weapon Name hiding off screen.

The Server List filter remembers server type, hazard level, and the auto refresh toggle. However, it doesn’t remember the search distance.

This is an old bug but still hasn't been fixed. Sometimes when mule legs spawn two legs will occupy the same location such that they appear to be a single leg. The second leg only reveals itself when you dig them out and typically shoots off in a random direction.
This bug is slightly more annoying than it used to be because you removed the spare 4th leg. If players only see "two" legs on the ground they can often waste time looking for a third when in reality one of the legs is doubled.

I won't create a duplicate post on the Jira board, but on the 31st of October and 1st of November, as I was playing with three friends, we fulfilled the conditions for the following achievements: "Just Another Bug Hunt", "Drill-by Shooting", and "Car Pool". They got the achievements, but I didn't, and they still appear as locked in my Steam account.
I also had a similar issue several months ago with the EDD achievement, and ended up using the Steam Achievement Manager to unlock it.
I think I'll do the same for the three achievements I mentioned.

I’m having a couple windows store PC version issues. Full screen 4K gsync stutter is back. When I switch to windowed and maximize the window, resolution switches to 1080p. When I move it back to 4K, I get the tiny window again and it won’t stay maximized in 4K. Also having audio distortion when using a mic plugged into a wired Xbox controller. If the distortion isn’t there, it happens when I unplug the mic. Very weird. Also HDR seems to be disabled now unless I check the HDR box in options, but this new HDR implementation is dark and nowhere near as good as it used to be.

Odd bug in escort duty. Started at A, everything was fine until second refuel at B, where the drill teleported back to A. Made it's way back to B normally and proceeded to C. C turned out to be the last room before the core, but the drill turned around and made it's way over the map back to A. At A it turned around and drilled straight to C and into the core room. Then it turned around and left. This all took 55mins and now I wish to murder something

does anyone else have a problem where their mic refuses to work regardless of, well, anything? like I know the DRG mic uses your computer default one or something like that, right? i am using my default one and it's picking up nothing, not from my webcam's built-in mic, my VR mic, or my headset mic, all 3 of those do not get picked up by DRG, my headset mic is "default" on steam and windows at the moment.

I play with a group of 4 (myself included) and I'm the only one that will always have different missions compared to the other three, my weeklies also do not end at the same time with about a 5 hour difference last I checked. not sure if there's an in game region option or something I've some how missed. I'm usually the one that hosts so the other 3 get no mission progress as I always have different missions which is a bit annoying.

Didn't get a screenshot but on Ultra graphics settings the refinery's pipeline numbers- the 01 02 and 03- disappear and reappear when the refinery is active. It seems like it doesn't shake with the pipeline like it should

My game has become a crash-fest since the hotfix today. Worked fine yesterday and many days/weeks/months before that. I tried all the common fixes (rebooted, updated GPU drivers with clean install, verified game integrity from Steam). Getting a screenshot of the error is near impossible since the game window crashes with focus locked and I have to reboot the PC to close it (OS is still responsive, game is hung on top of crash reporter). When I am able to briefly view the crash reporter there is an error about the D3D Device being removed ... and I can confirm that I am not unplugging my GPU during the gaming session. There are no event log entries indicating the GPU drivers became unresponsive or that the device was otherwise detached from the system. I can upload the dump files from steamapps\commmon\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\Crashes if desired, not sure what the policy is on posting those.

weird bug: escort mission, i went down and the drilldozer drove over me and then ran out of fuel, so i was stuck, the driller had to drill under me to get me out, then he revived me and i was still stuck in the drilldozer. so I decided to leave the game and rejoin and now it crashes the game once getting to 100% loaded

Now that's some BS. The closest thing they've got are the community testers and we only get paid with the satisfaction of breaking things before everyone else.
And no, there's no reporting system, anti cheat, or banning system. People keep saying that blocking someone on steam prevents them from joining your game. I've yet to test it so I have no idea if that actually works or not.

Just finished a drilldozer mission. The drop pod landed and clipped with the dozer's packing platform. one of the sides of the platform was taking up about half of the drop pod's cargo bay. We 4 dwarves jammed into the corner under the platform, then as the pod left it pushed us down through the bottom, leaving us there. We failed the mission but had victory poses at the end.

just did a three-player Escort Duty in the Radioactive Exclusion Zone and Doretta was constantly taking a low level of damage. We weren't sure if the drilldozer was somehow suffocating, or if it was some sort of radiation, or maybe even Steeve did it? I didn't know that there's DX12 switch. After enabling it, the performance improved a lot, and HDR looks a bit weird, but it seems to work
The extended color range is not applied to some things, like dwarf in Esc menu, but the overall image looks really nice. Kinda dark, but nice

Microsoft Teams notification crashes the game. It might be related to usage of experimental DX12 or HDR. (At least haven't happened to me after update 31 without these settings enabled)
Happened 2 out of 2 times for me.
EDIT: It might not be actual crash since the crash reporter never appears. The game just closed it the middle of the mission right after teams notification sound.

hi, not sure if it's a bug, but since yesterday once I launch the game, the resolution changes in a funny way, so that I am not able to click the "Continue" button to enter the game past the initial loading screen. My mouse pointer hits an invisible end of screen approximately 3/4 of the way to the right, so I can't reach the button. And the resolution is for sure switched to too low, but since I can't enter the game, I can't change it
is there a way to confirm the desired resolution outside of the game? I'm on the Xbox for PC launcher btw

Hi, so i've just run into a pretty startling bug. I have no idea why but i've lost a ton of progress on my characters. Levels, promotions , money, weapons, pretty much everything. I have 44hours on DeepRockGalatic overall and I have no idea why everything has just disappeared on me

Down on the screen along your health bar your two active perks are shown.
Before update 32 the perks were shown cooling down just like the pickaxe power attack. A white bar on the active perks that slowly go pan down to show how long it is until the perk can be activated again.

Nah. It just stays red thanks to the bug. There is no white slowly panning upwards to replace the red, indicating how much the perk has recharged.
It gets red whenever yor perk is on coolown.
When it has recharged it instantly turns white as its supposed to.
There is just no indication of how the perk is actively recharging with the red of the symbol being slowly replaced by white thanks to the bug.

As for the Escort mission: can you explain what is happening? Is the drilldozer turning around when it reach the heartstone? is it the stone itself that acts weird?

Ah - so right when you start the game. The drilldozer starts acting weird? After this game, could you maybe try to do another escort with you as host and see if it happens again - maybe capture some vid of it? Because if the drill is acting out before even starting that is very weird and annoying indeed.

Hello! Quick question, I'm running into this problem: When I start up the game with my headphones plugged in, I have stuttering audio. Literally every second, the audio cuts out for a tiny moment and then continues.
I found out, using the speakers of my monitor eliminates the problem, but that prevents me from using voice chat with my fellow dwarves (since, if I let ALL the audio play over the monitor, it starts stuttering again)
I have read somewhere that this is a problem between AMD (which my core is) and Unreal.
I have tried Disabling Master EQ, ingame as well as the .ini, but sadly none of these helped.
Is there any fix for this?

Every now and then my pick would hit an invisible rock/machine and cause 0 mining on the intended tile (like the gold in picture. Happened on dirt too.) Bosco and Molly was nowhere near me, though moving away or reinitiating the mining turns it to normal. Anyone else getting this bug?

the multiplayer really needs to be fixed, i am having a glitch happen when i try to join a friend during a mission, it keeps saying "multiplayer session ended" even though it hasn't whatsoever, its also happened multiple times over and while the host restarting the game does fix this, it isn't exactly very efficient.

Praetorians/Oppressors/Exploders can slide/turn while doing their attack animations (ie Oppressor Ground Pound, Radioactive Praetorian's Radiator attack, Praetorian's Acid Spray, Exploders slide while doing their death explosion). I know this has been "fixed" dozens of times, but it's still an issue.

I've been getting a lot of issues with the Escape menu UI since 1.0. Today has been especially rough with non-interactive clicks on "Friends Only", being unable to close the menu with Escape from many menus, and also the "exit to desktop" turning non-interactive. Issue isn't 100% repro, but I haven't had a single session since 1.0 where I didn't have some kind of issue.
and now the mission selection isn't working.
