I don't know how the game handles loading levels, but the farther you go in a cave the worse the performance gets. This only becomes a problem in the magma zone, where the farther down you go the framerate plummets. Is the game continuing to render the lighting for magma after it's offscreen?

So a Scout in my game has been having trouble grappling, he said it anchors to a spot but doesn't reel him in. I had him grapple next to me and I could hear that the grapple was in a different spot from the Scout. He said it started working fine at the final cave. His ping was at 15 all game (So 30 irl), my current theory is that it's broken because I have Ansel disabled, because I heard it can mess things up sometimes, but maybe it's because I have a kinda bad PC. This is the second time a Scout has had this problem in a lobby of mine, but the other one wasn't recent

Mobs keep on attacking dead people like before. More concerning than others is the horror also does this, forever exploding on a dead dwarf and making it impossible to rez him. I'm sure it's also a problem with dreadnoughts and detonators. I don't know why this was brought back as if it's a feature because in my opinion it makes no sense and is kind of a bad feature.

if you have steam cloud enabled you should have past saves stored. Go to settings -> gameplay -> restore save. With some luck you'll find your past saves there

I just get n black screen when launching the game, then i get the press any key splash screen then I press a key then the screen goes black again and cant see anything but can hear my mouse move over things in the background. Not sure if there are any engine limitations that would make it impossible to rectify this, but when I ran this game on my SSHD (I presume this also happens on an HDD) the whole game would freeze for a second when loading certain sounds or voice lines on the fly.

@hexed basin Yes only happened in DRG, I just got it fixed. My game was launching in windowed fullscreen mode. I managed to switch it to normal fullscreen and then launched fine. So i would add that as a potential fix for the black screen on startup issue

i was pushing a blue barrel around with some music playing, and decided to push it to the barrel game platform, i then clipped into the earth where the catwalk meets the solid ground.

Hello everyone.
I played DRG for the first time yesterday with the free weekend and played two missions with no problems at all.
But now the game will not run.
The game opens on the task bar, I can hear the splash screen sounds for about 4 seconds, then the "Ghost Ship Games Crash Reporter" also appears on the task bar. However, both the game and the crash reporter seem to be invisible or non-existent when I click on them. After staying like that for a little while, the game disappears from the task bar.
I have no idea why this happened since the game ran fine just an hour or so before this started happening and I made no changes.
Is this the right place to ask for help?
To try and solve this, I have tried the following things with no success:
- Restarted steam
- Restarted my laptop
- Reinstalled the whole game
- Checked to see if I had the latest Nvidia drivers
- Disabled Ansel
- Reinstalled my graphics drivers.

Turns out it's been making some error logs despite me not being able to see them when the game crashes.

If the level 25 is a problem look at the saves that he has in options -> restore save
Take a screenshot of that if you can

It's the second time on which i revive someone right below me, and we get stuck inside eachother. We're unable to mine and stuff because it all collides with the other player. Happens frequently in tight spots. Please have a look at this

After finishing a mission with your buddies all players see the same gold credit award. If everyone goes into the medic bay right after and look at the last mission report on the screen mounted on the ceiling it shows different gold credit amounts for every player. Which is correct?

Odd, I can stand in one spot in the memorial hall and get a graphics glitch.
Something odd in the light map or something? The visible areas appear to be some kind of frustum, moves around as you look but only when you stand in one small area right on the path between the hall and backer screen.

That font issue is consistent. Rounded letters are slightly larger or smaller depending on where the location of the curved line is. If it's consistent it isn't really an issue... it's just font design. It works.

Applying paint job to Bosco's skins is not functioning. When I apply a paint job to any skins, it applies it to all loadouts at the same time. Plus the paint job is not showing in mission no matter what I've chosen.

Very often when i stoot or use pick the action does not work the first time. I need to click mouse button additionally. It interferes with the gameplay sinse i play as scout and more then once I fell or lost order due to the fact that i could not shoot or use the hook.

So that's a really weird bug I've just encountered.
Mesh responsible for sockets for cores was missing, as you can see on next screenshots - it's not "badly offseted" somewhere nearby. We left it alone, but a few minutes I came back to see it's in place now.
- I wasn't in JIP state, I joined much earlier.
- This was a Trytilite deposit.
- For some reason I had no countdown UI (might help)

Hi, so I ran into 2 bugs today, 1. at times my c4 passes under ground and lands in a random area underground, happened with an egg I mined out as well. 2. my over clocked ice isnt shooting any spears like it said it would. honestly dont know if its a bug or if im doing it wrong.

and @runic seal there are no servers so every connection issue is on either on you end or the hosts. It's a peer to peer game.

drg team need to fix the awareness skill, when you kill a grabber or a cave leech and you are in the air usually ends on you dead from the fall. Its not a bug (i think) but it kill the purpose of the ability...... besides de dwarf

I joined Fungus Bogs as an Engineer, but as soon as the launch pot landed, I was an Scout. My one teammate joined as a Scout and remained a Scout.
The very next mission was in Magma Core. I joined as Engineer, one of the two teammates as Driller and another as Scout. The one who joined as Scout had the same bug: he was turnt into an Engineer.

Maybe these two bugs are related: When going into one of the terminals to improve my Dwarf's gear, I see the Dwarf I want to change in the middle, but the equipment around him is from another Dwarf. This happens constantly and I've upgaded items from other Dwarfs that I did not intended to.

When changing between certain weapons and tools too fast their models fuse together. Happened two times, one with the scanner + weapon and one with the grappling hook + weapon.
When platforming with the Engineer, at some point I created one by my waist, which made me fall off the map and then teleport back up.
I have a 144hz monitor. The game supports over 144 FPS, but I couldn't tell if it had a 144hz resolution. I believe to have noticed screen tearing at some point, but I didn't give attention to it. If it did happen, it definitely does rarely as I would certainly have noticed it more often. I'm on fullscreen by the way.
I had chromatic aberrhation on my game during a mission. Was it an effect of the beer I drank?

Sooo... If you have a party member stand on your head under the funnel and then hit use for kick while they're in there, barrels can become lodged in and won't be reset with the button. We broke the fun time activity XD

I played with friends a few days ago thanks to the free weekend and ... I realised that there are 1000 voicelines I never hear on solo. Ranging from basic use of the scanner to "Hello darkness my old friend". I hope it's a bug.

found a bug, if you use an autoclicker with the minigun on gunner, it seems to increase the fire rate by a massive amount, leading to greatly increased damage
another one: if a player with minerals in their inventory disconnects, you deposit their box into the mule, and then the player rejoins, then the mule gets stuck until the drop pod gets called in

@tender bone All of the time, targeting anything with the scanner will result on the dwarf saying "see here !" or "Bosco what is that ?"instead of the many voicelines I heard in the dev's streams or in many videos. Plus my dwarf will never speak at the beginning of a mission and he never uses the voicelines relatve to beers like "Hello darkness my old friend".

@dreamy quail i’ve been clipped into the floor and yeeted to the ceiling. i don’t think barrel rodeo is meant to be intentional, at least on the flat sides of the barrels.

also i had 2 different mice while i had this problem
it's not always happening, but i'd say roughly in 20-30% od the cases

yep when i try to hold down m1 it acts like i pressed it many times
on the m1000 that results in consecutive hipshots, the scout's hook will just shortly go off and then to cooldown

and just so we're clear, its not something silly like if you jump and start charging your shot, and you hold down the sprint key when you land?
because that will cause the m1k to fire when you land
and what you described will also happen with the grappling hook, it will fire mid air then cancel as you land

no it's for all weapons that require holding m1. sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't and when it doesn't it acts like i just click m1. if i try holding it further it will click multiple times

@distant pewter have a good evening! i tried without the mouse software (need to try some more tho) and with a program that shows the keys pressed and whenever the holding m1 fails in game it shows m1 is being held. so i guess it's some sort of software issue?

Hello miners! Tell me, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it looks like a bug. I installed an overclock in the cryo cannon. The description says that you need to press reload to shoot a snowball. I pinch, but nothing happens. I press twice quickly, the fuel is consumed, the pressure in the gun drops, but the shot does not occur.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but unless I'm missing something ... the overclock "Hipster" clearly states two things:
- Much faster spread recovery
- Lower damage output
However, it also appears to increase rate of fire and increase max ammo as well. Not sure if that was left out of the description.

I have recently noticed that the shotgun crosshair (warthog) appears not to be correctly centred.
it's slightly high, I came across it while recording in HUDless and using my monitors built in crosshair.
The other Engie weapons are centred perfectly.
I tried looking at how to upload to Jira it's too confusing for me

Hello fellow miners I am new to drg, just bought the game last night, I have an issue where my game freezes my entire computer, either at the end of a mission when I enter the drop pod, or at random

I've figured it out, my current mission assignment is causing the game to crash when loading in mission control instantly, or viewing it or any other missions, and even when I tried to do so, crashing me when i attempt to abort my current assignment
Game even crashed me as I was running up to the Assignment board to try a second time just now
I guess it's completely ruined my game at this point
Unless there's a way to abort an assignment externally thru files

Just encountered what my group thinks is a bug, did a 0/3 dreadnought mission but only 2 spawned
the robot miniboss was there though and i feel like the spawn point of that might have overrode one of the eggs

just did a dive where the drop pod spawned but we couldn't interact with it, everytime we tried to enter it we just fell through the pod.
we used platforms to get in it, but when it launched it left us behind.

@bright lily Just played a mission and had the same problem. When we looked, I think the egg might have gotten overridden by a machine event
The platform for the egg spawning was right below a machine event spawner.
