usually objective gem or morkite have the shiny light that break through the darkness and fog, but from what i see is literally just nothing
Like Skel was saying, its believed there is a bug that causes large gems to spawn without the shiny particles
even so, i was also talking about the looming light through surface
either way, impossible to find at this point
Steeve doesn't grant +5 hp when killed with melee. Literally unplayable
Unfortunally, with the last Update, our beer drinking ritual (jugging the beer and throwing the mug at each others head) is disrupted. Now, when you throw a beer mug, it just disappers after leaving the hand. Would be nice to have our ritual back.

My friend is having the same issue with Rx 570 fx 8350 windows 10
Being killed during a Sandstorm in Sandblasted Corridors and then revived by Bosco during said Sandstorm results in being unable to sprint. Being revived again doesn't fix it. Not even the speed boost of Iron will is applied.

Vsync off no fps cap version 0.28.36088.0, minehead drops fps a lot but it seems any wide open cave has a significant impact
I tested it again, minehead still drops to 40 or lower, looking at the rest of an open cave I get around 60 and narrow corridors and less give me 100-120
36088 as well
in the rig I get 200 fps if I look at absolutely nothing

Sorry, It wasn't much of an issue so I didn't have the FPS counter on, but it did drop during huge waves in haz 5 because of my old subpar cpu

How much does the performance dip when you look at the Minehead?
Frames drop from ~150 to ~40, even with every graphics setting on low and V-Sync off. Looking at the terrain scanner seems to drop it down to ~20-30.

In the rig, ~160, but it drops to ~60 if I'm standing at one end of it looking at everything else. I can't say much about my performance for previous updates since I had my FPS locked at 60, but it never used to dip dramatically down to 30-40 unless there was a lot of stuff happening, like a dozen bugs exploding on the volatile guts modifier, or while magma core was having an earthquake.

Good morning, I think I'm having an issue where I can't access the level 25 assignment for the scout class. I might have left it on between patches a while back and didn't really think much of it but now it's preventing me from progressing elsewhere.

I can not toss mugs. Each time i try it seems to delete itself from existance. Nothing major but still...

When being frozen half a second before getting downed. You permanently catch frostbite. Needed to restart the whole game?
I averaged 130 fps before update now I'm struggling to push 30 on equal settings

I do got to agree. Performance on Hazard 5 is questionable from 240 fps to 60-70 at some point.
Ryzen 3600x 1080 TI , Everything is fine at Ultra 1440P. But on hazard 5 th amount of spawns severely impact performance.
Any news on not being able to join friends/lobbies?

Back before the patch hit, me and a friend hit up experimental for the first time to see the changes, and switched to normal within the hour. Ever since then however, we've been plagued with odd crashes happing at any time during the game, all with varying errors. We thought that the patch would fix it, but it hasn't. If anything, it's now worse, as my friend flat out started having the game crash on startup. Reinstall fixed it for a bit, until the game crashed again and made the same scenario. Seeing that we were perfect before trying experimental, is there a concrete way to remove all influence of it? Or is there something else we might be missing
You can try to revert your savegame to before you switched @honest monolith

I'm not certain the backups extend that far, but I'll see once I can. I'd have thought it wouldn't affect the original save as another, experimental save, was made when we switched

This update is full of bugs. Half the time sound effects for subuta pistol dont even work, gunners shield doesn't activate sometimes, crosshairs disappear
Every time I finish a mission there is music from the memorial hall for a few seconds - has that been reported?
Does anyone else have a bug with the glowing visual nodes for buried objects? Compressed Gold, Enor, Aquarq and Jadiz all have the glowing bits on the surface - but when I start mining they do not appear within the terrain.
*to be clear; the glowy bits don't appear - the actual mineral in still there.

Holding M1 (Mouse button) can sometimes end up registering as if you were spamming M1. For example, if you try to focus shot with Scout's M1K it will instead shoot nonstop.
Changing the resolution and make it fullscreen/windowed does not solve this problem. This only happens in DRG, its not a problem with the mouse.
Also noticed that my touble jump with that perk was sometimes triggered even though I only clicked once (i think). I have jump mapped to mouse thumb button, maybe related @dense socket
Logitech G110 keyboard.. volume control wheel roller knob thingy is controlling weird stuff in game (scrolling thru menu items) which it wasnt doing before this update
double tap to jump needs to be something else, it's very easy to trigger the boosted jump when you don't want it
Scenario: Normal Deep Dive
Bug: Unopened resupply pods appeared in the second and third maps, often inside terrain, but outlined and visible when holding X. Upon digging them out , they were "repairable" and either 1) malfunctioned, opening and closing their ammo sleds frantically, then giving a HUGE amount of nitra(~400), or 2) functioned normally but only one ammo sled was available.
If any dev is reading this, I found a workaround for the minehead lag, switching the effects from any level, MED HIGH or LOW to any other level will bring back the FPS to normal levels, even after switching back to the previous setting.
Character selection console shows the previous beer you drink (say red rock blaster) on each portrait
At first we thought this was a feature: abandoned ammo crates from "previous teams" could be recovered and rescued. But after it happened twice with different results it was clearly a bug
Can anyone tell me if they fixed / added a sound for when you overcharge your friend's Shield with the new perk?
oh yeah, the ammo crates on the maps, you can repair them but they don't give ammo, the ammo slots just pop in and out then go away

mactera grabbed took me after I threw pheromones, it glitched in 1 place, didn't let me move and the bugs killed me after the pheromones stopped, no animation of "grabbing" was visible on the screen

Once Steeve gets electricuted, he doesnt get cured

now terrain get transparent for a moment when you dig and fps still drop but lesser.

So my friend dropped a barrel on me in the barrel kick area and I glitched into the platform and got stuck. Couldn't walk around but could still turn and kick.
lava map also have very poor fps
also the spawns clipping inside the drop pod and eating you alive and you can't do anything about it ought to be fixed...
you get damage resist while inside so it doesn't really matter

^This exactly. I am running a Sapphire Nitro R9 FURY. The performance got better to yesterday, still drop to 20fps at times.
^Sapphire 460 RX and It drops to 20 during any combat and 10 or lower whenever I'm close to an open cave.

Hey does anyone else get huge pauses when interacting with stuff in game? Perk Menu, Jukebox etc?
My game locks up for 2ish seconds before recovering
Started after 28 and still present after hot fix 1 and 2
There appears to be a bug with the auto reload perk with elite deep dive. When entering the follow up missions with zero ammo in the gun. After refilling the gun no longer auto loads despite having ammo. This carries over for the remainder of the mission. Also, auto reload doesn't reload the platform gun.
IMO they should release a 'beta' client that is just version 27, so that we AMD people could go play a game in a state where it functioned until they fix this mess.

hey fellow miners, i have a strange issue with the game, while using an usb headset (logitech G35) the game crashes every time when any other application generates sound, discord, messenger youtube anything
you sure it's the headset and not when you mine something?
if you use sound from the gfx instead of your headset does it not crash?
as in output device is from the card and not the headset
when using external speakers, connected with jack to the motherboard works fine
and i have a monitor with jack and works fine too
This is the issue I'm having. Also happens when purchasing Perk upgrades but couldn't do one on the recording.
Seems to effect the Jukebox, Perks and Ordering beers at the moment. Interacting with the Missions, Forge and most other things doesn't cause the same issue

Me hosting, lost a round (damn you OMEN!) - 2 friends had only blackscreen and no mission end screen. couldnt load in the spacestation anymore, were shown as LOADING (connecting) in their portraits.
they had to force close the game
during their reconnecting attempt (just black screen on their part) my mission screen had only ? as missions, not selectable. See above
if you're on linux, it appears that kernel 5.4.12 runs much better than 5.4.14, at least my radeon 7 doesn't lock up, it still freezes for 2s or more when there is an inital heavy horde like on eggs or extraction

FPS is much better now, but still get weird drops. When a drop pod is in view, goes down to 50, and when I use the terrain scanner it goes to like 20.
For me, It's 40-50 in tunnel systems, 80 when looking at a wall, 20 during combat, and 10 or lower when in any open area.

I can hit 3 shortcuts and bam, I'm able to access every hidden file in my computer. Do that on Windows 10 and you need 3 thirdparty programs.
Still having major performance issues; there was an attempt to fix this but it still seems the same as yesterday where I keep getting 40 to 10 frames most of the time, I can't get 60-100 Frames at all.

so this just happened at the end of a mission... I wasn't the host so I don't know if they were cheating or whether this is a bug (they claim they weren't cheating) ... Does anyone know how I can remove these funds from my account?

Over 50k gold is pretty much impossible in the current game especially in 29 mins
my fullscreen mode is broke a little bit. the sides are cut off. i can fix it changing to windowed-fullscreen, still a bit weird though.
Found a minor bug
Unlocked the cyberninja skin for Bosco finally. However the blue 'new items available' thing appeared over the main equipment console instead of the drone console. With the '!' icon telling me to scroll right indefinitely through the classes. Reselecting the cyberninja skin on Bosco's terminal so the '!' went away fixed it.

@craggy ruin Yes I know... normally I wouldn't care BUT... we did a machine event on that mission. I FINALLY got Hoverclock which is what I was grinding for all this time
So resetting the progress means I lose the overclock
which... really really really bums me out. what a bad coincidence

@People who are experiencing frame rate bugs: I recommend going back to Version 27 (https://www.reddit.com/r/DeepRockGalactic/comments/d0r4h8/do_you_want_to_try_out_older_versions_of_drg/ Handy guide right here) until the issue is resolved. Make a backup of your gamefiles and put them somewhere safe first.

there is a bug where multiple people with the perk can pet steeve, idkif the damage increases, but his size isinfluenced by it and the skin texture dissapears

I'm on a 460 myself and It's so bad I literally had to go back to version 27 to play the game.
Yeah, mine has dipped by around 50%. Highest I am getting now is around 50-60 FPS when not in the spacerig

Try deleting the Config folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved

Hey guys, before the last update or two, I promoted my driller and scout. After playing the new update, my driller and scout are now unpromoted at lvl 25 and I cant promote them in the assignment board (no assignment available). I have tried relaunching/uninstalling the game and playing a mission, but this does not help.

Theres bug where sometimes someone activates the jukebox and you start to dance but you cant actually hear the music being played.

Since this hotfix has anyone had any odd terrain flickering? I just did a salvage mission in Sandblasted Corridor and all was well up until the end when the fuel cells dropped. The Driller started to drill out the area around it and it'd cause some of the terrain to flicker black

Just had a a elimination mission and my bulldog revolver was able to oneshot any enemy with a glowing weakpoint and two-shot a dreadnoughts health on hazard 4. Have not been able to reproduce this yet
The Neon lights doesnt change on the "Bulldog" revolver. But I guess they're going to improve on the combos
@steep cedar I'm on Nvidia geforce 1030 myself, seems a lot of things trigger the flicker like switching characters as well

Hey everyone, I still top 15fps on every mission even with hotfix 2. Here are my specs:

Wanted to report a bug where a friend and I got downed during an ice storm and when we got up, our meters for being frozen started at half and continually ticked up

Im going to try and be as descriptive as possible, but im having trouble trying to articulate it. Ill try to get a capture of it the next time it happens. So bear with me in my description: The game loaded and i was taken to the lobby. I searched for a sever to join and selected the one i wanted. After which, I was taken to the character selection screen. After selecting which character/role i wanted, it took me to the mission loading page. If i continued to press 'A', it would continue to select a character over and over again, thus reloading the mission screen and duplicating the user list on the screen. Does that make sense?
Hey, Trying to get back into the game and the promotion mission isn't showing up for my scout even though he's level 25. Anyone had this issue? I'm currently just going back through my saves but I'd rather not lose progress if it's not necessary.
pressing space to unlock a perk plays a click noise but does nothing. only the mouse works.
I opened a cargo crate that said it gave me Swarmer Kick for my Engineer. I already had swarmer kick for him so when I got back to the rig I found out it had been unlocked for Gunner instead.

Iron will bug? I was doing the EDD with two teammates, they died, I died and used iron will, ran to one of them and started reviving them, but then died for good. Normally the mission would end there, but it kept going (for at least a minute) as if someone was still alive and I had to abort to finish
Oh and just had another minor bug: if you hit E fast enough when taking drinks at the bar you can take multiple at once, I think it counts them as multiple too because I got quite drunk off a single backbreaker stout (which was two-in-one)

@distant pewter Hello! While the last hotfix did increase performance for AMD users a lot, it still chugs quite a bit when in large caves, and when a lot of activity is occurring. Sorry for the ping, but we just wanted to make sure y'all knew, as the constant framerate drops are giving me headaches
Strange, I have a RX 580 and I am not experiencing any performance issue. If anything, performance was better than Update 27.

Btw iron will is STILL bugged when you use it and get health through a supply or red sugar, sometimes you die after the 12 seconds anyway
Please fix that it's really lame to save a mission by healing yourself through iron will and then still dying

Keep having my crosshair disappear in games after the update - sometimes at the beginning and sometimes in the middle of them. Happened with all classes. Switching HUD on and off doesn't work. Validated files - no issues found.

It's not anything serious or game breaking but the forge seems to clip into the railing a little.
And a visual bug that is a little more noticeable, the loadout buttons sit on text when accessing the character change terminal in a bay and in the top left you will notice the drink buff even though I don't have the license and I haven't bought it.

Still having issues with performance. For some reason, I get better fps than before aboard space rig, but now I get drops from 120 fps to 15 fps if I open up the terrain scanner. Very jarring and makes playing very unappealing.

Yeah. My performance is just fine. i7 4790k @4.4 GHz, 32 GB 2400 Mhz RAM, SSD and a 1660 ti. I get a locked 120 FPS nearly a 100% of the time.
But my mate with an i7 8700K @5.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, SSD and a 1080 Ti has massive performance problems. Dips below 20 FPS. Latest drivers, Windows 10 etc.
I wish I could go back to U27.

Fps drops aint doing any favors for my fever induced headache either.
Again, space rig performance is better than before hotfix 2, but mission fps drops are even worse.

Did you convert a grunt to steeve while it was in range of bet-c? I've seen the Minehead turrets fire at my Steeve till it got out of range from the minehead to disengage the turrets.

I believe earlier I read it was all AMD cards that were affected. As for Nvidia I've seen a marked decrease in performance as well as some texture flickering when mining and changing characters in the equipment terminal. I'm only using a GT1030 but I only just started having these issues since the second hotfix
I guess its already been mentioned but I would love my crosshairs to stay in the game :/ especially with scout its hard to aim without to get to the platforms well or snipe something. Had to make do with scanner pointer to aim and then actually shoot. Gets really hectic in haz 5 :<

Also still having desynching problems in the game where even my discord starts to lag out. Its the only game I have this problem with somehow. desynchs can last up to about 10 seconds so thats basically a death sentence during any wave
I recently experienced a bug with the Beast tamer perk where i tamed a slasher within the Scout's inhibitor* grenade radius and my Steeve permanently had the slow* debuff on him.
If debuffs get stuck permanently I wonder what happens if you take a glyphid getting buffed by a warden
How do you fix disappear crosshairs? I've check the UI, relaunched the game, changed graphics settings and tried other optional ways codes to launch my game but still have this issue.
I encountered once again this golden bulk but this time, the explosion he caused created "normal" gold and not melted gold. The gold I'm mining still is different in the depository.
Also, the icone of the unkown error goes from a pale blue to pure black on the scanner, wich makes it difficultt to see.

For some reason, ledge-grabbing seems really off after adding the animation for it. It simply won't register at times, especially annoying when playing engineer and using platforms for mobility.
When hosting, I noticed that the grappling hook for scout simply wouldn't register despite being in range.
The sound of the dwarves walking in the space rig is very weird. @south mulch and @high silo noticed it too.

@fluid iron performance is still not great. Not sure how much better it is because i lowered gfx settings. I can still easily drop to 30frames as well even with lower settings.

Going to +1 the fact that the game's lighting model is absolutely murdering FPS like its nobodies business ever since about 3-4 patches ago. This game went from a cozy constant 60 FPS to 45 average with -20 when things get stressful, and thats at a mid-low.
Also since this patch the game developed a new graphical oddity, where on occasion for about a half-second all the lighting 'flickers' and Surfaces lose their visual properties, letting me see neighboring caves and tunnels through walls like its layering over the surface I'm looking at.
It's not obstructive persay, but it sure is annoying. Not even an advantage since its about half a second of sight.
Your going to loose progress though, no real way around it.

I use a 2-screen configuration, whenever my mouse leaves DRG to go to my second screen on the left, the mouse keep moving to the right. It only happens playing DRG.

i might as well add to the low performance discussion. windows 7, i7-4770k, 16GB RAM, GTX 1070. Megapatch tanked my framerate completely, hotfix lessened it but it is still unplayable overall and drops to ~20 or lower when for example a wave is happening. Was a completely smooth experience at 100 FPS before even during firefights. Changing ingame settings obviously doesnt do anything

Born ready does not include weapons in the third and fourth slots.
Paint does not apply properly on non-standard meshes, parts of the model, that mesh adds (neon stripes, etc) stay unpainted, and this problem appears mostly on few guns: Subata 120, Voltaic SMG and Zhukov, but there are some more cases on specific guns and meshes.
Is it even widespread problem or it only appears on some clients?

@outer storm temporary workaround is to enter the mission and switch your Post Processing and Effects quality to anything besides what it's on
@fallen hill as of 0.28.36151.0 the game is still broken on my AMD card but so you can have an easier time debugging, for whatever reason whenever you switch the Effects quality it temporarily fixes the performance for a time
It can be switched up, down, or to something else and then back to what it was it doesn't matter, as long as it pauses to re-render the changes
This "fix" is a bit inconsistent tho as it doesn't seem to last more than 5-10 minutes -- or maybe this is the "fix" wearing off, if that makes sense - new graphics effects being generated as bugged?

I found a game-breaking bug. Thanks to the new Iron Will, the mission was unable to end for us. A person left and another person joined, and they were unable to revive us (because we were T-posing).

If your pod when you join a game lands on a platform gun platform then it glitches through it and you get stuck
You can still mine out though so it isnt that bad of a problem

I put my two cents in, that performance is decreased with last update or with last Fixes. Before i've in crowded XXL caves, in worst case, ~20 FPS. Now it's barely ~10 even if cave is clear. Unplayable slideshow. In general FPS is decreased by 10-20 points at least. Lowest graphic settings; laptop config: i5-4210u/6gb Ram/GeForce 820M/SSD

Machine event tritilite deposit active on egghunt glacial strata. Playing a full game as host with 3 friends hazard 4. Were carrying bombs on a zipline to the shard. Mate bombed a Big Boy and did friendly fire. Half a second after the bigboy shot the game crashed for me.

There are online .sav editors that do it reliably
I would strongly discourage using this to cheat but I did use it once to fix the same sort of cheated lobby described above
It's definitely an honor system tool but it works
to fix the black screen atleast for me. I just spammed Esc and click around and it fixed itself out. if anyone else ran into a similar problem; may fix it

also i've been having this bug for a while; every time i host, if someone else is playing scout, their grapple tends to malfunction often and i'm not sure how it's being caused

Greeting all miner and DEV, me and my friends have been playing constantly non-stop and here is a list of bug/error we found:
Lighting/Screen:
Some light source causing weird white and red flicking on screen, easy area to find this bug is Memorial Hall. (only happen to my friend, maybe something to do with his graphic card or something)
Mining mineral such as Nitra sometime make your screen cover in one color for 0.01 second everytime you hit the mineral.
Sounds:
Semi auto pistol seem to have their sound cut off many times, very noticeable with driller 1st pistol.
Sometime your footsteps or some ambient sounds will not play properly or straight up missing.
While hanging around spacerig, your footstep will be missing at some spot (a bit hard to tell where exactly) and sometimes the footstep got dup make you walk like a horse (4 steps)
Features:
This one is a bit confusing for me, unsure if it is a bug or not. As we know, the primary and secondary weapons got a nice skin system now: Shape + Color
For primary weapon when you change the Color, the Shape (only some don't) also change their color and fit in the theme. Yet, secondary weapon Color don't change Shape color.
To make this easier to understand, example: Neon Brand for Gunner Minigun and Magnum, the Minigun Neon color change depend on Color you choose, but the magnum no matter what Color you choose the neon will not change, try it.
Perks:
Temperature Insolation seem to reduce dmg taken from magma to zero, i can literally walk on hot magma like a nice walk in the park.
Unstoppable doesn't reduce slowness from soft snow, goo that come with terrain.
Wold/spawn:
Objective gems and minerals are much reduced around the map noticeable, example in a mission that need 400 morkite, back before the latest hotfix a map can spawn around 500-600 which help players feel more comfy as they scatter around the large map, but now only spawn around 450-500 which make it much harder.

Gameplay:
A very rare case here is your crosshair will disable even tho it is "visible" in Options, restart the game fix it.

I stil get proof frame on my system and some weird texture pop ins. Even after the patch where it said they fixed it for AMD GPU's like mine, it got a rx480.
same, RX 480, did a haz 3 aquarq magma core mission at sub 60 the entire game, felt horrible to play. Never used to drop below 60
That's just an example though, every zone in large open areas tanks my framerate, tunnels are fine but the moment I look at a large room I'm 30-40. 110 on space station

RX570, sub-30 FPS on med-low settings (vs 90+ on ultra U27). Can confirm literally unplayable.
I was iron willed on a zipline when my iw ran out, and instead of dying I could continue to move and throw flares, and was invulnerable to further damage. I completed the mission “alive” in this state. Don’t know if it can be replicated.

I also have an RX 480 and I am also still having issues, 30 fps in large caves, 60 in most others. Had 120-144fps prior to update 28. The space rig gives me 60-70 fps, and all of that is regardless of visual quality settings. I am running the latest AMD driver, version 20.1.3.

While on a Rig i have normal 110 fps but while on mission i drop to 30-40 and have huge fps spikes to 15-9 fps every 6-7 sec no mater what happened on a screen until game froze for few seconds or rather crash😰
Yes, if you were drunk before entering the mission, you will remain drunk for the duration of the mission
@exotic elbow try switching around the effects setting, the actual setting doesn't matter just switch it to something else and back if you want, that temporarily fixes some FPS problems

Mission:
There is an event that require you to mine a big red ore by using explosive that mission control send to help you. The timer NEVER show up so players are confused when mission fail as time run out. The explosive drop pod usually spawn very random and can end up way too far up or down for players or even worse - spawn in another cave.
It is frustrating!

Friend of mine has problems with the machine event rewards, as she uses spacebar for her use key, and it doesn't register her inputs when she tries to select the rewards shown.
not sure if it's worth mentioning here, but I'm also having major performance issue since the last patch. Also using AMD, FX-8300, RX480, 16GB RAM, Win 10 Pro. Fiddled around with the settings a lot, hardly anything noticeable. I started just going through the graphic settings presets at one point and, weirdly enough, when switching to low, nothing really changed much, but when switching to ultra, everything shot up to 60 fps for a while. But continuing through the mission, over several minutes it kept dropping more and more, until i hit my now-standard 10 fps. Terrain scanner is pretty much unusable anymore.

AMD and low end computer here, tested the rumor that switching graphic settings mid game might help performance for some time, it seems it works for some reason!
Nearly every match, (My weapons/tools) don't have a crosshair. Over 200hrs, never had this happen before fyi. Also having problems with scouts grapplin hook, rope shoots out, but no pull.
I'm definitely still experiencing poor video card performance. I have an AMD GPU. I know the devs put in a hotfix on Friday morning but its still considerably worse than pre-patch performance. Makes me not want to play the game 😦

rip when i logged onto steam my DRG was uninstalled and when I reinstalled and went back on it my save was corrupted, also for some reason all my backups are all from today?
i was playing yesterday at like 2am and closed the game with no problems so im pretty pissed off right now that i lost like months worth of progress
You can end up being stuck right there on the space rig if you jump on the barrels. I have no idea if this is only possible for non hosts
nvm the cloud saves finally came up in the restore saves
Had a game where the resupply pod would repeat the landing sound on loop a half dozen times or so whenever one dropped. It would also kill anyone who got close during that time even post drop.
can confirm, changing a setting fixes fps temporairly. you can change it right back even

it seems opening the map makes it come back faster. getting the insane fps drop for both of us. AMD cpu/gpu. r9 390

I've been getting that too, and it also occurs when the explosive plants go off and cause screen shake (have to be close by)

that is the map chunk being deleted recalculated and placed back instead of just replacing with the new one (easier to see this with LOWer FPS)

I've seen that exactly once. trapped in between the pod base and the platform. rejoining put them in same place. killing/reviving didn't help

@pulsar parrot last Monday you suggested I change the config to fix my mouse clicks.
I have mine on Windowed Fullscreen and haven't had a problem with that, with my triple monitor set up as well. Try that.
Another fix, maybe go to Steam Library/ Properties on DRG/ FSD/ Saved/ Config/ WindowsNoEditor/ GameUserSettings. In there, make:
"FullscreenMode=1" to "FullscreenMode=0",
"LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=1" to "LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0",
"PreferredFullscreenMode=1" to "PreferredFullscreenMode=1".
See if that works.
I did these steps (except from 0 ➡️ 1 instead of the other way around) and it seems to have helped a lot. I haven't gotten stuck being unable to fire since. I still have some weird misfires, but I think it has to do with jumping or my dwarf interacting with terrain. Sometimes I think the dwarf tries to grab a ledge, even when he's just walking on slightly uneven ground.
Unrelated, last night all dwarves got knocked out of the drop pod at mission start. We landed on the roof of the drop pod, unhurt. Then we just jumped down. really weird.
Also, the same mission, Scout fell below world, and the glyphid dreadnaught dug down to him. And then kept digging... and digging... making the scouts body go lower and lower until we all died trying to rescue him.
Just failed a machine event and I'm stuck listening to the machine gun sound from the gun tower

Weird bug,all of us died and the mission didn't ended and people kept joining but they couldn't revive us
Also tried to use Mixer Integration a handful of times, but it didn't work. It was on a completely different computer too.

also steve takes basically no damage from some weapons but tons from others
the radioactive glyphid hatchlings are not receiving damage from the Thorns Perk, i had 3 missions through the fungus and radioactive biomes and the hatchlings are the only mob not receiving damage from said perk
Has anyone attempted the Time Well Spent achievement after the recent patch? All barrels we've found in the station are in the drop pod, but the achievement didn't pop.
anybody else getting a bug with the zhukov saying it has 825 ammo in equipment terminal and at the start of a mission but then immediately goes down to 502 after shooting the gun and then stays there as the max ammo for the rest of the mission?
never mind im dumb i thought the clip size was the only thing that was split between the zhukovs

So on Xbox, switching out batteries while in a mission will close the lobby and send you to the start screen. Anyone else run into this issue?

To terrain? Huh (sorry I'm really curious about this stuff and getting insight on the patching / causes). Interesting how I can't even see you changed something in the game / terrain at all, except the new salt cubes and stuff and half of the guys are crashing from something invisible.

So, i was playing experimental on update 28 before it came onto the main build, and was messing around with the cheats and activated the project omen tower for a mission but never actually went into the mission to do it, and now i've had an omen tower on each mission ive done on main build. i think its 5 in 5 missions now. is this a known bug or am i just incredibly lucky?
im going to hop into a point extraction right now and see if i get another
Im not if its just me, but while playing I sometimes heard a weird audio buzzing noise whenever I got close to a dwarf

Also I noticed if you salute just before you dance at jukebox you get a tiny picaxe floating in front of your face lol
i think my "luck" has run out, 6th cave and didnt have a tower.
and the pickaxe floating while dancing is probably related to the thing where you salute when you pick up a drink and you have the pickaxe there
@fallen hill unfortunately no go. was fine for most of a mission, then i hit a large cavern and dropped to 15fps. Usually 60 smooth all the time in any cave. Changing settings doesn't fix this time, even temp. It's only while facing the cave.

i'll have to test more in morning, sorry. That was where the problem was for me originally. Me and another player, very similar rigs. we could see each other stuttering when turning while affected.

Right click DRG in your Steam Library, select Properties, Betas, choose Experimental from the drop-down menu

And see if performance has improved on your PC
Dx12 in Unreal 4 has utterly terrible performance compared to Dx11

The game runs around 50-100 fps regardless of graphics settings, depending on frame complexity
It's pretty normal if you run a game at an uncapped FPS.
Capped at 120 but doesn't reach that really

This is completely unrelated but I might as well mention it. Radeon has CAS sharpening thing built into their software, it doesn't seem to work with DRG for some reason. That's probably their problem to fix but I thought I'd mention it.
hi guys, did anyone running a i5 2500k and rx580 or similar setup experience an absolute tank in framerates after the update on the main branch? usually had always a silky smooth 60 no drops but now the game regularily drops under 40 and sometimes even 30 for extended periods
@tardy solstice try the experimental branch and give some feedback, they are testing a fix there

@spice zealot doesn't really do that much, just makes the AA look (imo a bit more DRG-ish) and I quite like it, now that I've tried it
Imo ingame aa with the sharpening option is great
But having more granular option in graphics would be awesome one day
I still cant work out how low I need to go to disable certain things like bloom, AO etc
maybe through engine.ini lines. or maybe in the future, who knows 🙂 for now, I'm really happy with what's available and keeps getting rolled out 🙂

Don't know if it was purely an experimental build thing, especially since I haven't run into a crassus detonator on the live branch, but the craters created by the secondary bomblets it throws off when it dies aren't lined with slag, or gold. Minor nitpick, I wouldn't even mind if they stayed that way. ||But what if instead of throwing off bomblets, it threw off compressed gold instead?||
Should AMD users use the -dx12 command line with the new hotfix 3 ?
can confirm that the crassus detonator secondary projectiles dont create slag or gold on main build

Completely forgot, tried to save my downed dwarven buddy
got left and mission failed despite completing everything
so, I have been doing some bug testing with this pathfinding issue with the grunts that sometimes happens to tamed grunts too (a lot more often than "sometimes" tbh)
in the second clip the hole is like 3x times smaller than in the first one (even praetorian managed to go through it), yet the grunt in the first clip had trouble getting through the hole
also, not sure if it's a bug, but steeve not always uses his "sprint" to catch up with the player, and you can even outrun him by just walking backwards sometimes
also target prioritization is kind of very weird, when the swarm attacked, steeve seems to just target some random enemy and go for it instead of attacking the closest to the player (prob not a bug I guess)
in the clip steeve actually walked past these grunts and turned around only when I tried to follow him

Incredible job by the developers! Now not only the performance on ADM (low end computer) are fixed, but are greatly improved! So much i could start playing on normal setting instead than low! (Update 27: space rig = 25fps & game 45fps. Update 28 + fix: space rig = 45fps & game 55fps!)
Little bug: after switching graphical settings in game, the deposit minerals animation would keep showing up when idle.
So performance is fixed? Great! I’ll test it for myself after school

Been dealing with a mysterious sound bug since the update went live. Did some research and I think it is related to getting health from Vampire. In the video below, you can hear the sound go off twice during the revive at the beginning of the video. You can then see it go off with 3 vampire kills with perfect correlation. After that you can hear it go off twice with no melee anywhere near me

Some info I gathered about that sound:
- 99% sure it is related to the Vampire perk
- If myself or any teammate at any range gets a melee kill AND HEALTH from the kill with Vampire equipped, the sound goes off
- If myself or any teammate gets a melee kill without Vampire perk, there is never a sound
- If myself or any teammate gets a melee kill with Vampire equipped but DOES NOT get health, the sound does not go off
Yes it's the vampire sound playing point blank for other players, my friend hears it when I melee kill close or far away, host or client
it shows assignments when they are active
@fallen hill can't run with dx12, but newest version seems to have fixed
seriously wtf is up with the netcode? before i could play smoothly even with 50-60 ping
now anything above 30 ping is just jittery and full of desync

From what i read and know, cargo spawn rate is about 33% in a max long mission, but so far i went through like 20 long mission but i see no cargo crate, am i unlucky or cargo spawn rate is bugged

It does spawn in PE. But its likely off in one of the side rooms
It does seem the fps drop bug is quashed for me. fx8150 and r9 390. Still getting lots of the chunk popping, maybe 2/3 ground edits are visibly doing it.
I was 18ms client and that happened on 1st and then on 2nd stage during defense:

damn you guys are far past on top of this. That wasn't 3 days from bad patch --> fixed. There's at least 10 games in my library that are "broken" with what seems like obvious stuff..
I mean that when you dig/blow stuff up the ground in a area around the edited bit dissapears completely for part of a second
also are devs aware that games are not ending when full team is dead? it happened twice today
and when I tried to invite guy to revive all 3 of us he said we were standing so he couldn't do anything

Yeah its iron will. There is some special code to keep the game going if the team is all down so you have a chance to iron will.
But ofc it should end eventually 😄
