I've had the same issue with a server browser, and a friend could see the server but couldn't join it too
seems like we need to dig into the issue some more. It can be fixed by disbanding team and starting a new mission, but it should ofcourse not happen at all

Regarding the interaction bug it's existed in the current (live) build as well as the last major update build. I've seen it happen on crystalline caverns, magma core and sandblasted so I don't believe it is a biome specific issue.
Many people have said it's due to some issue with ziplines but I've gotten nowhere with my testing.

That seems to be the only common factor so it may be some issue with synchronization
i had it when it was just me, trying to deposit into the mule
Some mixture of ziplines, falling to my death, and carrying something was the last I encountered it.

btw, i have always had the voice issue where my mic turns on any time i host a game and turns back on when people join till the lobby is full, i have to check and uncheck the voice chat box to turn it back off, i have a Hyperx Cloud headset connected through headset and microphone jacks

Cool. just making sure it wasn't a fluke haha. But yeah, a tad bit annoying.
The only other thing I've noticed that I would consider a bug is small bugs being able to attack you before they peak over the edge of terrain. So they end up attacking you while either inside or underneath a thin piece of rock. At least, that's the only issue that really bothers me in this game anymore. That and tiny chunks of minerals floating in the air.. that require very precise angles to pickaxe

Ok so go to save games, once there find the file called ###########_backup#.save
Look for the most recent one
Once that has been found delete the ###########_playersave
###########_backup#save to the ############_playersave
are the numbers
Theres also another underscore but that causes discord to format so I cant put it in
Just rename backup to the file that was deleted
in which folder I need to go

If you cannot find it then
- Open steam and go to library
- Right click DRG
- Click properties
- Click local files tab at the top
- Click browse local files
Follow the path above
and further
Click fsd, click saved, click SaveGames

Now that you are there, delete #####_playersave and rename the most recenet backup to the files name you just deleted
I would recommend copying the name of playsave before deleting

what are you referring to? You get bonus "minerals mined by team" from your hazard bonus, which in this case is 50%
so your mined minerals * (1 + 0.5) => xp reward as well as your crafting materail reward

gold goes right into money

Morkite is only for objectives
Nitra is only for giving your ammo during the missions
All extra nitra, holomite, morkite n stuff turns into experience when the mission ends
Stuff like Bismor and Umanite are special crafting materials
each biome has two types of minerals in it, you can see which ones when selecting a mission

@potent nymph yes there is the default logitech software that is used for mouse/keyboard/headset. But it happens only with DRG, no other game does this.

there is a occasional bug when holding a beer and saluting while dancing will then not allow the player to drink the beer.
Regarding the voicechat issue it seems to happen to the host of a lobby. As mentioned despite having push to talk or voice chat even disabled I, evilgiraffey, tater, and smgamer have all experienced the voice chat bug.
Just to be explicit it enables voice activity and only seems to happen to the host of the lobby, and immediately fixes upon un-toggling and re-toggling any of the sound options

also if you toggle off the hud before the drop pod arrives and then toggle it back on after it arrives will no longer allow the player to see the location of the drop pod.

I was Host and we duo'd the mission - I had the bug on the first complete assignment, restarted the game (my mate didn't restart his), then we played the 2nd assignment (I was host again) and this happened again
did he also had the same mission active?
We both started with Assignment #1, so yeah, BUT: I'm not sure if his assignments advanced or not, waiting for him to answer me (~3-5min)
@potent nymph: his assignments advanced to step 3 as well, so it counted for both of us, even though I had to alt-f4 the assignment completion screen twice

@brittle thistle just tried it, and it worked fine for both, so that doesnt really help in figuring it out
I'll try playing assignment #3 after I'm done eating, maybe this time in Solo mode - I'll let you know if it occurs again or not
sure π i think the issue is more likely to occur when you play with others. the original bug was that it happened only when playing with other people
only thing I can remember was that 1) I buffed us with the beer before missions 2) his pc is way slower than mine, so he was still sitting in the loading screen when I was already getting the "assignments complete" screen and moving around in the station

If exploders are headshot while in their inflation phase, they ragdoll like they've been disarmed but an explosion still occurs at the place they inflated
since the new update the MU.L.E has even more bugs! For Example he just runs away from me somtimes , and it gets stuck even more

I thought it was intended to be like that. I thought there is a certain frame when their explosion is inavoidable even though you land the headshot.
Another thing: I had an issue with my 4k monitor which was fixed on the experimental branch, but is back since the new update on the main branch. I run my game on 1920x1080px fullscreen. When I start the game it appears as a small window in the left corner. I go to the options menu switch it to "windowed fullscreen", "apply changes", then switch to "fullscreen", "apply changes". That always fixed the problem for me. No big thingie, but I am wondering why it is back, since it was fixed on the experimental.
I had the same issue, but changed the resolution to match windows and it worked after that
Bjorn, coming back to the stuck "assignment complete" screen: Assignment #3 worked flawlessly in solo now, so it definitely had to do something with being the Host / playing it in MP

Overflow XP will allow you to "skip" tiers/retiring multiple times. You will need enough XP to fully retire in order to skip a retirement.

Having 25,000 / 20,000 is overflow XP you could continue to get XP past the numerical limit ,if you really didn't have that much XP to get that rank then it is a bug

My char is T posing in "select character" tab, lowering graphical settings worked for a minute
I went up 20 levels. Does that mean I retired 4 times?
Keep in mind each 20 red levels is 20/3 = 6.6 blue levels.
Going up 20 blue levels would be 20/6.6 = 3.03 rank ups
I'm a little uncertain about how leveling works when you hit twenty, so forgive me if I'm wrong

When you rank up once (resetting your character from 20 to 1), you don't immediately jump 6 player levels, right?
I thought the experience would carry over, but it seems I was mistaken. Either you have to have enough experience to go to 1 to 20, or you don't get anything

I'll have to make sure to get my characters past the 200k experience threshhold before retiring them so I don't lose all that experience
There's a post already about XP not carrying over, a lot of the regulars we're talking about it. Not sure if you can still obtain overflow XP tho π«

I have had that sticky menu too. Also, same thing was with the milestones before this patch, but it had not affected me yet. Hopefully, it's fixed.

New search and eggstract missions spawns less eggs than needed to leave
And doesn't sometimes highlight all the eggs
We were stuck on the probation assignment mission because we had 5 out of 6 eggs
And there were no more eggs
atleast you dont fail a mission because molly was too slow
so after the update everything was reset to lvl one and i had to play the tutorial mission again.

Ive been crashing on mission launch, this has happened in the past. The issue is that somedays i dont have this issue for a week, then sometimes it happens constantly, no consistency. Anyone got any ideas?

Sadly there's not a lot of info to go off. If it didn't happen consistently than I don't know what to tell you beyond it's likely a hardware limitation
Check if you meet the minimum requirements, verify integrity of cache, check for updated drivers

@potent nymph sry for pinging but i got 2 bugs here. First one is that you are able to play last solo assignment with random players. How did i get this: completed pre-last mission with 3 randoms, then in spacerig pressed button to start last solo mission. After accepting notification that all other will be kicked game instantly started mission without kicking anyone. Everyone loaded up with me and we played successfully to end. I even could pause (esc) the game like its done in solo.
Second minor bug is that after accepting retirement there is not enough time to fully listen MC's 'goodbye' message

That's probably fine. That said the retirement goodbye was already reported and they seemed to have missed it...
i STILL have the same bug crashing all solo missions.
If you have Molly sitting within deposit distance while also mining and having a full inventory with ore pick-ups beneath you; once you deposit, the ore sitting at your feet doesn't go into your inventory unless you walk away and then walk back. This is particularly bad when you call Molly up to a platform while mining a vein on the wall. Molly will climb the wall up to you; but you need to jump off the platform, wait, and then grapple back to get all the ore (or mine out the platform and let the ore fall to the ground)

Yeah, i saw the numbers, and i have 7 times 20-th lvl and 173k experience above. I think, it's better to revive with something like 12 lvl, cos it would happen only 1 time - to spent all over-experience.
@jagged nebula nah, all my perks are in place, and so the vanity items. Upgrades are gone, but i have no problem with this.
The only thing - i have lost about 173k experience π

that's about 5% of all my play-time (~15 hours of gameplay). Heavy lost, i think.

hey all, im having issues with my mouse. DRG wont let me move it all the way to the right of my screen in any of the menus.
just downloaded the new update. i tried restarting the game and then steam and it occurred every time
just tried restarting my computer, and had a windows update, and the issue is still there.
its not completely game breaking, but i cant hit any of the close buttons or increase the hazard rating of my missions
@mossy breach I have that problem but i just know purchased the supporter upgrade and it stopped

not really a bug just something that was missed but the Gunner mk3 heavy suite only costs 3,200 credits instead of the 32,000 that the other mk3 heavy suits cost.

I think it's unfair to loose up to 237 499 exp on your first retirement, if you are old player. At least the first one can be loyal for veterans.

I experienced a bug this morning where my character couldn't jump (neither controller or keyboard) until another player attacked me. I don't know how it happened so not sure how to reproduce - but I'll post again if i manage to figure that out.
it seemed to occur right after there was some combat with exploders in the mix. not sure if that has anything to do with it

Scout calls every grenade his "last grenade" after throwing. Probably doesn't check for his grenades, but for explosive ones and doesn't detect any.

Oh, I did join halfway through a mission today, and I couldn't see any of the eggs. The host was actually holding an egg and it wasn't there.

Last mission is a big button at the top of the mission terminal.
You need to
- do probation or skip it
- be rank 20 on that character
- do the 5 retirement missions
- retire (button)
Retire button is from the switch character menu in your little cabin
Everything else is on mission terminal (globe) and assignment terminal (next to globe)
The last retirement mission needs to be started from the mission terminal (top part of the globe screen)

Xbox versions of the game are having serious connection issues. When trying to join friends or joining off invite from friends "multiplayer session closed" shows up. The current temporary fix is to host a public game and have players join that way. Devs are aware of this and a fix is likely pending

New egg hunt has issues spawning enough eggs to finish the mission. There's been reports that only host can see some egg locations, and many many reports of the game simply not spawning enough eggs. Very serious issue that prevents mission completion, I think going back to spawning more eggs would be a much better approach, and possibly not showing where the eggs are on map until they get relative close to regain a sense of exploration.

molly is getting stuck when trying to guide players back to the pod. This is ruining games for players more dependent on molly and a pretty negative looking bug. It's persisted for quite some time and would be a great bug to squash sometime soon.

the final "solo missions" for retirement can be done with friends. The "this will kick everyone out" fails to do so, and the host can pause the game to some weird effects for the clients. Not very serious but worth mentioning

Before I decided to retire, I had already bought and elder beard, the corporate marine helmet, the mk2 armor, and many other cosmetics I have bought for my other classes. I had a good amount of about 45k, but as this picture shows, it says aboout 68k, because I had to load up my backup i have saved in a hard drive just in case. Once I retire, it sends me in my room and all my gear, my beards, and my credits are gone, especially my corporate marine helmet. i have asked many people what does retirement reset and it should reset only your progress and perks. If so, why was all my gear and credits resetted ? I need to know if this is a bug or i am seeing this wrong. Hopefully a developer has time to see over my problem and confirm or fix this issue. I have spent many hours and paid supporter edition, because I love this game, but losing all my cosmetics and credits just like that is heart breaking. Im open to be messaged anytime.

You dun goofed. Anything you can salvage from a backup save is your best bet now.
Instructions on Retiring is pinned in a couple channels now, (including this one) but requires the use of the new Assignment Terminal next to the Mission Terminal.
Otherwise, try asking a dev Monday for a save file that closely matches what you lost.

I just retired as the scout and the voice line "it's rare for dwarves to live long enough..." didn't have time to play before the screen went black and loaded up as the new level 1 character. I didn't press anything after confirming the retirement. Minor, but annoying since there's no easy way to go back and hear it again.

It is the same voiceline and you can read the subtitles if you're fast enough if you want to next retirement

If you mean the missions terminal and not the in game terrain scanner you're probably using m or tab to pull up the missions

We are glad to see that so many of you are rising in the ranks and enjoying the new update! But as you know with anything new, there are also some less-than-ideal sides to it.
We can currently see that there are 4 major crash issues that you are experiencing. These error messages will be displayed in our crash reporter.
LowLevelFatalError [File:C:\P4\UnrealEngine\Main4-19\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Query.cpp] [Line: 111] GPU has crashed
We currently believe this issue is related to the latest Nvidia GFX Drivers. A workaround for this is to completely uninstall your Nvidia GFX card drivers and reinstalling earlier versions of them. Please be aware that due to the complex nature of PC setups, this might be very easy for some, but a bit more complex for others.
- LowLevelFatalError [File:c:\p4\closed-alpha\fsd\source\fsd\deepcsg\DeepArrayPool.h] [Line: 114] ExpandingArray out of range (MAXSIZE 536870912).
So far, we can see this is a crash that happens when loading a level. Why? we are not sure yet.
- LowLevelFatalError [File:C:\P4\closed-alpha\FSD\Source\FSD\DeepCSG\FSDVirtualMem.cpp] [Line: 13] FSDVirtualMem::Reserve failed with error: 1455.
For some people, this means not being able to load any levels, and for others, it might be just solo missions not loading. Providing a DxDiag might help us.

This issue seems to be centered around failing missions. Any description of what happened around the time of the crash would be helpful.

Yesterday @tall nexus reported issues with being unable to move the cursor all the way to the far right extent of the screen. This is also happening to me. I dunno if it has something to do with the Nvidia Ansel. To Linkening, does your computer use a Nvidia driver also, or not? Trying to rule out causes here; next, maybe confer graphics settings.
That issue is because your running a different resolution than your desktop, so if you set your resolution to so it matches, it will fix it

I have gotten some temporary freezing issues irrespective of connection. Happens in solo, and in co-op. When I'm at my home system, I'll make sure to post my Nvidia Driver hardware model and software version. The freezes aren't fatal, but they do hinder performance quite a bit. I also keep my drivers with the latest updates.

Two bugs to report:
- I skipped a retirement for scout. I went to click the retire button but for some reason the menu did not appear. I clicked it again and then clicked retire. After clicking retire I went up two retirements.
- Sometimes mission haven't been giving me xp when completed. (might be me miss remembering however)
Small bug:
If you look more than 90 degrees away from the memorial scroll, the code that scrolls the text doesn't activate, and they start to stack on screen, creating a blob when you look at them again.
Not sure if this is a "bug" but the icon for the Scout's assault rifle in the upgrade terminal is of the old model, not the new one.
It's a regular thing. They don't change the icons to the updated models until another mainline patch later.
The same happened for the Lead Storm Minigun, the Platform Gun, and the CRISPR Flamethrower before it. Though the Platform Gun and CRISPR had their icons updated in the Experimental Beta branch itself beforehand. It's just an art update they need to do, not an actual bug.
When you retire a dwarf, a voice line from Mission Control and text box appears, wishing you farewell from the company. This textbox is only on screen for a few seconds, however, and the Voice line cuts short before resetting you to LVL 1. It looks really crappy and could use a fix. π
The devs should be aware of this bug already and a fix is likely pending
so I just completed the retirement assignment for the gunner and yet he's still level 20 with all his upgrades intact

If you level another class to Rank 20, while doing a retirement mission for a different class, the voice lines/pop-up for getting to rank 20 play, but the voice lines/pop-up for finishing a retirement mission do not; and very likely whatever terminal you interact with next will get stuck on your screen (character select in this case). Rebooting the game fixes it.

Hmm. Weird issue, most likely steam more than game related. My lady sitting next to me can invite me to a lobby and I can join, but when I invite her she never gets the notification, though it says on the steam messenger that I've invited her (and shows that message at both ends).

Was this ever addressed? My friend suffers from the same issue, it's not a huge deal and it only happens every 3 hours or so and he can just take a few seconds to unplug and re-plug his mouse but any possible fix would be appreciated.

Hey, Anyone else have an issue where the mouse briefly stops working? It only lasts a second or so and only click stops working. I don't have any issues any any other games, only DRG. I mean it adds tension to the game but not in a good way

@shrewd notch It's due to high ping. The higher your ping the more inconstant the jump is. So you don't jump higher as host but you can do it reliably.

It's not a bug at all - it's just how the AI is programmed to behave.
Programming in an AI system to detect and properly shoot at a moving entity's hitbox opening is absurdly complicated compared to just ignoring the entity as a whole and proceed to shoot regardless
it's to save unnecessary coding/programming time on the devs' part for something that doesn't even matter at all in-game since it's the end of the mission
the voxel grid/pathfinding was different because that was much more important for things like placing platforms in the escape pod, and bugs trying to crawl inside the pod
also it's easier to code on a 2d grid than it is for raycasting projectiles and line-of-sight on a 3d grid
and much more CPU friendly on the host
all programs behave the way they're programed to behave, bugs aren't defined by whether or not a program follows it's programming they're defined by whether or not a program's behaviour makes sense within the context it inhabits
but thats semantics i guess
in my specific situation i noticed this at the start of the game not the end
because i got a really weird spawn with two spitters and a leech and a small swarm right outside the door
right - forgot that it spawns at mission start too ._.
and there were flying creatures all over so the turrets were trying to shoot them through the walls
i'm not saying it's an important bug
nor is your statement that it would be difficult to implement invalid
but its something that happened none the less and is not something that makes sense within the context of the game
Still though, it's not a bug because there's no code specifying for them to check line-of-sight rules in the first place. So really it's a complete lack of code, rather than code misbehaving from lines that already exist.

well at least normal mining expedition, i think cause its a separate room idk? egg hunt and mule recovery seem to be full of them
salvage is special because it's intentionally coded to spawn enemies when you get close to a downed MULE - and also I think they're weighted heavily to spawn in first room
but yeah mining is usually empty anyways
i always suspected that but never knew lol, always get a huge swarm fixing the mule up

When hitting launch solo mission for the last retirement mission with someone else in the party, it still launched (failed to load mission)
Hey guys- When the escape pod arrives and that chute/ramp comes out of it, glowsticks fall through it and ignore collision.
when I last retired, there seemed to be an issue (had retired with gunner previously) where the rank would not change tiers.
Need more details or specifics to be of any help.
sorry the only more detailed i can think of is that i went from a bronze rank to another bronze rank on the gunner. I had dark morkite on the solo mission for the last retirement objective, and was fully upgraded prior to the mission. On a lesser note, i had selected the mission on the mission select screen, and then exited without accepting, in order to hear the voice lines attached to the option. Is there anything else that i left out that might help per chance?

Assume these are numbered like the numbers on a dial pad, which rank did you start at/go to, or did it just stay at the exact same icon while still resetting your class back to level 1?

I think it's very likely you upgraded in that tier but didn't realize. Just to clarify you go all the way right before going to the next color "tier"
Anyone started to have game crashes with the OCTOBERFEST update? I never had any issues, now my game always crashes towards the end of a mission and since I am the host it is gone for everyone. Was always telling my friends how smooth DRG is, no technical issues and now this, not sure what went wrong. Also I think it often happens in the missions with the 2 extra mules, towards the end with the fuel cells. Short missions are fine. Any help please? No point in playing the game now with the crashes.

@eternal dawn We think we figured out the crash. Happens when you fail a salvage mission where the bar empties and you are downed and looking with another players camera view π
I was always alive at the time of the crash but my teammates were down
so maybe it is triggered by other players as well but it crashes the host π

Check pinned messages to access backup
Make sure to restart steam and try relaunching first to see if it might be a connection error before accessing backups
The desktop name implies it's a steam connection, and that you need to restart steam first
Sometimes it persists for multiple restarts, keep trying to restart it

Bug with connection:
- i choose mission as public around the 29/59 minutes
- wait until mission list refreshes
- check new missions, but not choosing any of them
- start old mission
- now only me and bosco can be in this mission, no one can even found me in server list! Friends can't connect directly to me too.
Going to try this again in next 10 minutes. May be this cause only when selected region disappear (or still allowed but not this mission type).

How so? It takes stockpiled XP into account when you Retire the first time, hence why you're seeing a lot of people already in the multiple hundreds of Player Rank levels.
basically you get 6 or so levels for every 20k credits you have available when retiring a guy
then as you retire, and the window begins to fade, you spam spacebar to spend the 20k units. basically just costs 20k to lvl up
i watched someone boost to 100 in a matter of minutes

Just noticed that since Update 18 went live, none of my [SteamID]_Backup_#.sav files have been updating; they're all from 2018-10-11 or before.
Is the main backup one being updated?
My interpretation of that is that no backups are being updated, main backup included

Are you sure that you are a high enough player level (blue level) to see the appropriate armor sets? I don't think people have reported losing them
Also be aware you don't equip sets in the same place you buy them, you need to use the equipment terminal near the missions terminal (globe thing)
I was able to equip it before hand, and its still on my gunner, engi and scout, but I hadnt played driller in a while and went to customize and that when I discover that I couldn't see the armor in the menus

20 in engi, 11 in gunner, scout is up there and driller is 6 or 7

salvage mission: unfortunately I didnt take a screenshot, but the mini mule was in a small isolated mini cave which was not linked anyhow to the overall tunnelsystem. we only found it while hearing it beeping and having a driller who searched it by digging around the "normal cavesystem". Didnt look like this level generation was intended like that.

I have been noticing this a lot.
I don't know if it has to do with them being able to jump now or what but I thought I would let you guys know. π
can confirm, this occurs often enough that several people have taken pictures/video of swarmers just floating in the air not doing anything. They're alive and can be killed, but don't move or even try to, they instead just float there. It is synced between hosts and clients so maybe a pathing issue?
I've seen it happen too, I wonder if the leap has a preset arc or distance, and if the swarmer was leaping at someone as they dropped off, or in the case of scout with the grapple. and because it didn't find solid ground, instead of falling, because it doesn't have the ability to drop off terrain, it bugs out the pathing and freezes at the end of the leap animation.

As far as I know it's due to fossils taking hidden decimal values as well, not sure if that's intentional or not, but the display or the pickup should be changed
I think devs should priorotize solving the bug where pressing tab in the space rig doesn't refresh mission list. This can be used as an exploit once "good" mutators become available (ie leech cluster + triple xp), because not refreshing the list after finishing such a level means you can grind it out indefinetly.
The priority of bugs to fix isn't really something for the playerbase to decide, the bug is catalogued and the devs should be aware of it.

I am fairly sure that the folks developing the game are aware of the implications and priority of these bugs without demands - trust them that much

Have an issue where the host of a game, who has friends join off them using steam friends list (unsure if this is critical to recreate), has their voice enabled and always on. This is whether or not it's on in the options menu. To turn it off, we often have to turn it on and then off again. Irritating double up when using Discord as well.
Got a question, I was in here a few days ago asking about missing the armor you get from buying the supporter addition, it was quite early in the morning so I'll put it here again. I had the armor up until the last patch (the one with the assignments) but now the sets are not in the vanity viewer. The sets are still on my engie gunner and scout but when I went to put it on the driller (had not played him in a while) and could not find the set to equip. I checked the others and, according to the game, were not wearing any armor but still displayed the gold armor (at least on my side, unknown if others could see it or not)

That's actually just iron will, it causes you to go down twice
Red sugar just revives and prevents going down if you use it with iron will

Greetings, Could I get some confirmation from fellow streamers or staff if the mixer.com feature within the game is working correctly, I appear to be having another issue where users interactoring with my stream on mixer cant spawn in any of the bugs in expect heal and provide nitra.
I do recive the pop up ingame that a viewer has perform an action say spawn mobs in but nothing appears I tired search around given how close it normaly spawns them in to a player.
Thus far I have reinestalled the steam game twice trying both live and experimental branch with same results effecting me.

Turrets seem to be having uh, targeting/responsiveness issues
I think it's to do with turn speed, I find they are good for slow moving enemies, but if a swarmer is close it can't hit them.
Has anyone ever done the magma biome and not been able to find all the morkite? My team searched for a solid hour until we ran out of ammo and nitra and we couldn't find it.
i havent heard about that before π also since it always spawns 100-150 more than you need to complete the mission
my friend had that issue on his retirement solo mission
it was hidden because the next cave wasn't linked with compact dirt
so he didn't actively scan that region > he didn't end up finding out where to progress into the next cave section > couldn't complete the mission for a LONG time
I also don't think he was in that biome so it probably isn't biome specific

Particularly magma core however seems to be the issue, flipFTW has guessed that maybe the magma rock is spawning over it?

when you are on point extraction and punch the button he will say you should expect heavy resistance - written as resistence
the latter is incorrect
Driller has invalid reload animation while running
he has the same issue when he's doing his gunsling animation
i've encountered rooms that were not connected to anything by compact dirt before, only once was it required to find the last items needed for a mission that way. it's rare that those rooms appear, and rarer that they contain the last materials needed for mission objective.
@north latch was with me on 1 such mission.
Side note about the biome, it isnβt exclusive to magma core.
I have four of those already. It's not a bug, but it has no purpose.

I was doing a Dreadnought Eliomination mission for the first time, and after exploring every inch of my map, I realized my objective list said to eliminate 0/0 Dreadnoughts. I tried typing while the drop pod was laucnhing/returning from mission and it didn't show anything while i was typing or the message i typed. The part that got bugged out to where I had no choice but to Alt F4 was RIGHT when you get back to mission control, like RIGHT after the results page I tried typing and I couldn't get out of the type mode. I couldn't even type anything it was just bugged in it.

i had an interesting event where It happened to me too - I unchecked it in a multiplayer lobby and then tested it during the mission
worked fine
then I checked the settings on again - still didn't transmit for a little while
I think it fixed itself after the end of the mission
@potent nymph My friend @junior patio constantly had the problem where we started playing together and the voice chat would be enabled again each time he starts the game, making me hear him twice, though I am unsure if it still happens in the current build.
i always have the voice chat issue that my mic turns on when i host even though the box is not checked
does it happens always or do you have a way to reproduce? it works for me everytime :S
the way to reproduce is for me to host and people to join in the lobby and yes it always happens and has all throughout closed alpha too

on the statistics tab there are 2 "no shield" warnings completed, 1 of those should be exploder infestation
I can confirm now that @junior patio is still having his microphone enabled each time he starts the game, despite disabling it. Normal branch.
refering to Raulikien 19:31 - (reproduced on pc &) the first appearance of "no shield warnings" in the list is the actual counter for exploder infestation (checking trello for this now)

Sometimes when i launch the game, it's forgotten my profile and has "steamname-bunchofrandomnumbers" up the top right
at the launch screen it doesn't show that I joined the steam group (I have). Sometimes quitting/reloading a few times helps.
Okay so this time restarting steam entirely fixed it
@earnest harbor do you have the hardware to try going through USB with your headset instead of jack and see if you still get the issue with voice chat turning on even if its turned off?
