You aren't on the newest version. Since a lot of people seem to have this issue I'll do a little write up on how to fix it

PSA

If you see almost no servers in the serverlist, check if you're on the newest version of DRG. You can do this by pressing escape and checking the numbers at the bottom left next to 'OS online'. The current version is 1.39.102179.0. If your version is different you'll need to force the game to update.

Method 1: verify integrity of gamefiles. If this doesn't work try method 2

Method 2: go to steam -> DRG -> properties -> betas -> and select the 2018 legacy edition + opt in/ opt out.

Either one of these should force an update

hey everyone. i was wondering if anyone else has had all of their unlocked guns suddenly re-locked again and completely inaccessible

in one of the screenshots in the issue, you can see that the game has registered ive unlocked all 4 guns for all of the classes. however, i can't access them anymore or even re-unlock them via the assignment board. they're just locked behind the lock icon in the equipment screen

all of them were fully upgraded too and i have used them all several times, i believe even after i promoted my characters

im hoping i can find some fix for this because i really would like to get back into drg but this is a pain. i put a lot of hours into getting all of those guns unlocked and upgraded

I found that known issue with hook cant shoot is related to every class. Drills can't spin sometimes, platform doesn't shoot and zip. This problem can be seen with salvo OC when it shoots only one rocket without charging or cryo cannon not charging. This mostly happens after switching weapons or after grab jump

There is a limit to how many games we display on the server list, and while i can understand why this issue is not great, it should be back to normal in a few days, if not already. You should be able to filter your games even more to help with the issue

While in the weapons terminal, if you've selected a weapon (upgrades screen), and choose a different one of the loadouts (A though F), it changes the weapon upgrades and you can make loadouts for individual weapons, instead of just characters. However, selecting a different loadout in the upgrade screen also swaps to that dwarf loadout upon leaving the upgrade screen without actually changing the weapon preset selected.

E.g. On Dwarf loadout A (Driller), go into upgrade screen which is automatically set to weapon Loadout A (Cryo Cannon, Ice Storm), select loadout B while in upgrade screen and change overclock to Crystal Nucleation (switching to loadout A on this screen maintains the separate Cryo Cannon Icestorm build), leave upgrade screen on weapon loadout B which switches to Dwarf Loadout B (Unrelated to Dwarf Loadout A). Switching back to Dwarf Loadout A maintains weapon loadout A (IceStorm), making it impossible to switch between different weapon loadouts on the upgrade screen.

Apologies for the convoluted description of the issue. It's a niche issue, so I felt I should make it comprehensive.

Uncertain if you are intended to be able to make individual weapon loadouts within dwarf loadouts. If not, I think it would be nice, making it easier to swap between specific weapon builds.

yeah, it would be nice to separate them, but in the current state of the "switcher" it would become even more confusing I guess

My game started laging very bad after I joined this season's Experimantal Branch. When I switched back to season 4, the lag continued. I still have it. Can I dump 3 game recordings as demonstrations here and maybe ask for some advice on how I can remedie this?

The terrain updates after a delay for me, like apearing platforms, Doretta sometimes goes through the wall for me and sometimes I can follow her through the wall. The audio stutters with swarms. It's not as bad on Solo, but is still present. Sometimes the game eats an input, like shooting sludgepump after running. The join and mission start bars take long to fill up.

Hello, so the game is kicking me out of my friends's server when a mission starts. I can join them on the space rig but not on mission. When the mission starts, it kicks me before seeing my colleagues sit on the drop pot. I cannot see them playing when I try to search for them on he server list. It is worth knowing that we live pretty far (Latin America - Europe). Yesterday was working fine btw. (I was only playing with one of them though but the distance is the same). Also it seems to me that I can only see on the server list servers at a distance close or medium, although this could be happenig because there are a lot of servers playing at the moment (so no use on showing me the farest ones). And yes, I can join other visible servers and I play without problem.

During the escort mission during the core phases, it's really disheartern to IW to run to a resuply pod to immediately get captured and die without being able to do anything. Is it possible to make it so that you CANNOT be targetted by the capture phase during IW? It's very hard to see both the IW overlay plus that and also removes the purpose of IW if you get captured right after (like seconds after healing).

Guys, I'm desperately asking for help
I have a bug, which crashes game on specific events (calling droppod, starting morkite extraction etc...), while I'm global hosting (however it's not a case for friend hosting)
I tried reinstalling game, checking files, etc, but it doesn't help
Also tried to google it, but nothing

also, the bug where it doesn't set the correct dwarf saying the pre-landing lines in the drop pod as the mission begins is back

Hey so I've been trying to start DRG from steam, everytime I start it, it goes through the launching process but never launches the game, and goes back to a green play button. I've updated all my drivers, windows, and everything else. I use Windows Defender, and this is a new computer. I have also tried the "regenerateinis" but that didn't work either. I tried searching online and didn't find anything so I am hoping someone knows what's up or if there's a fix for it!

the blue level here (indicated by the blue circle) is not the same as your Seasonal level (also blue, but appears on a different screen at the end and only represent your level on the season pass), and the red level (in the red circle here) is your class level, which is tied to the class itself and independant of the rest.

Hey I assume this bug is known but I couldn’t find any info on it online and figured this was the best place to ask. I recently downloaded the game on my pc through the Xbox store and tried to play on controller. When I did it ended… poorly. Basically the text chat feature that on console only triggers after a double salute instead happens on pc whenever you press the left stick. Does anybody know the fix for this issue?

I have not been able to play DRG for the past few days. Once I start a quest, shortly after my PC would crash afterwards. I noticed that the last patch on last Friday supposedly " Fixed that the game crashed most of the time you tried to join a game" but unfortunately that isn't the case for me. Is anyone else experiencing that?

Things I've done are: verified the integrity of the files, uninstalled and reinstalled and updated the drivers as well. Confirmed that other big games like BG3 and Dragon's Dogma work fine.

I have a similar issue to @glass monolith. It'd crash after starting a mission. Did verification of files, uninstall/reinstall, and updated drivers. then I started it up with direct11x. I was able to play more of it than that and still crashed. I have a 3070TI in my PC so I don't believe it is a GPU issue on my end.

Hi. Not sure this is the right channel, but I couldn't find a hardware specific one. I run a Ryzen 5-3600 with an raedon 6700XT. I have the issue that my graphic card fan nearly runs at 2500 RPM constantly when the game is open. It also gets hotter than on other games I play. Settings ingame are on high or medium but the card still runs at high capacity. I'm not sure what causes this, even on stresstests its not that extreme. I can post some system information if someone is willing to tell me what is needed for a overview.

Unreal Engine games are pretty heavy on GPU, DRG is also heavy on CPU. If you open Task Manager, chances are your GPU is being heavily utilized (possibly 90+ %). If the game works fine, just ignore it, system working as designed. If it really bothers you, one option is to limit FPS in graphics options, particularly if you have a high refresh rate monitor and a fast CPU. Not really a bug in the game though, it's just that the game will pretty happily use most of your GPU (assuming CPU can keep up) unless you cap FPS. If you have a lower refresh rate monitor (like 60 Hz) then you might also make sure VSync is turned on.

No, thankfully that never happend. Still, the temperature went up to roughly 75-78 °C on the GPU hotspot. I never had that with a nvidia. I know that raedon tend to get hotter but I'm still afraid something might happen.

So I have a bit of an odd issue with DRG, well, more my friend. I've introduced DRG to about 7 people whether I bought it for them or they bought it for themselves, no issue. Now, this one friend, during his entire time hes stuck into DRG, he has a very difficult time staying in a game, no matter who hosts in our friend group. He'll be playing fine, then either his connection just abruptly ends, or he'll stand in place and on his screen he cant do anything for about 2 minutes before being disconnected. We can see just fine through his discord screenshare doing this, and it's definitely not his internet, his internet is about 300 down, 30 up.

If he tries to host, we experience the problems that he has playing with us, but on our end instead. Not that DRG really requires configuration in order to play with people, but are there any solutions or other people who've had this happen?

I had a progress bug in which I lost an hour of progress setting me back a few levels and resetting my mission line for the burst fire secondary license upgrade. Bug won’t even be taken into consideration unless two other people have the same issue and report it under my issue report. Honestly a very stupid and unfair system seeing as if that is not done, I will not receive any due compensation for said issue, it was a fairly annoying setback seeing as I don’t have much time to play, so an hour is a lot for me.

maybe try verifying your files? that might help. provided you're on steam, right click deep rock galactic in your library, then go to properties, then "installed files" then click verify integrity of game files

My friend got his main save got reset to zero after his laptop ran out of battery and shut down. Now he only has his "sandbox" saves with mods and can't connect to others, because the game tells him to turn off sandbox mods even though he has none of them active. Is there any way for him to restore the lost save?

Finally, although I don't know if it's okay to talk about it here, you may find luck googling for a save editor, but you can also try emailing your problem and your save to devs directly. I don't know if they provide such save restoration tho

I'm having a new problem since yesterday with the game stuttering for several minutes anytime I load into the hub (or the menus prior to that if I just launced the game). Every few seconds, it just freezes for a few seconds. Checked other games are running fine, updated my graphics drivers, rebooted my PC, tried messing with my graphics settings, verified game files through Steam... yeah weapon maintenance is shared between seasons, so for those weapons you didn't max out last season will still have their progress from the last time you played 🙂

The uneven progression is probably due to maxing out on GK2 and the flamethrower as season 4 had 4/4 unlocked, but then you changed between secondaries at some point.

If the host gets disconnected every other inplayer in the mission gets booted into their own spacerig, just as if they each left the session. I can't remember if the clients also get a small reward of 25% of the resources mined, same as if they lost a mission.

If a client gets disconnected, the rest of the team can continue to play, anything you had on you will be dropped in a small collectable box. You can of course reconnect to the session again.

I have this issue with GeForce Experience when playing DRG that started one week ago
It constantly turns off for me saying I should disable HDR in game. The problem being that HDR is already disabled and I can't even enable it in a first place. This only happens in DRG and other games are fine, even if I Alt Tab from DRG and turn on GeForce Experience it works fine, but turns off when I get back to DRG. Also my monitor doesn't even support HDR. Does anyone had similar problem with this and know how to fix it?

I can't seem to be able to play with others, as if my version of the game was not updated. I verified the integrity of the files, uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted my pc. Still, can't play with others and when I try to join a friend's game I get a message telling me we don't have the same version of the game

It is, however I believe I've seen reports of this happening on hardware that is listed as minimum supported. It's likely a combination of factors that have to line up just right.

UPDATE: I take that back. I did a solo mission the first time it worked. But then I joined someone's mission, it still crashed.

Server browser been empty for anyone else? I saw one subreddit post about it with no replies, and a handful of folks with it on the Pleasefix with only one solution (verify integrity of game files on Steam) but that didn't fix it for me. The entire server browser shows one or two servers at most, sometimes none. All filters are off.

This might be a weird bug idk anyone else has gotten, but have seasonal challenges when going to previous seasons just vanished?

This happened twice where I was 1 mission away from "Play Driller/Scout" but upon completing the mission the challenge didn't show as completed and just vanished from the terminal altogether. Both times it has happened while completing the last mission in an assignment so I think it has something to do with that. Also in both instances I had cleared two seasonal challenges at once and the 1st one disappeared from the terminal without being completed

I have been doing some Deep Scans without activating the drillevator and sometimes the game notices that I have deposited the seeds, sometimes it doesn't until I start and take the drillevator to it's destination.

After playing for a while, like a few missions, I get this one weird stutter that lasts for maybe half a second and drops my fps then it goes back to normal. It doesn't seem to come back after. If I restart the game and play for a while, it happens again. So, once per session I guess? It didn't use to happen before season 5. Does anyone else also get this?

Disable your mods (can do so by using the Safe mode launch option)
Update your GPU drivers
Reinstall your drivers using DDU so all leftovers are properly removed
Try launching with dx11 (Steam only)
Verify the game's files
Try to install the game on another drive
Make sure your save is not corrupted (back it up somewhere, then delete it from the game's folder)

Shouldn't DRG run better on dx12 for GPUs which support it? It can't be shader compilation if it happens multiple times. Also, when I tried to run this game on dx11 a few times, it just runs worse, kind of like shader compilation on dx12

Didnt manage to grab a screenshot (wasnt paying enough attention) But theres a bug with holding H to disable to HUD, I collected some minerals, then when I turned it back on, it showed "00" for any available minerals, but it said I had 45 barley bulds and 45 bismor, couldnt deposite it thankfully, but it was really odd. If Im able to replicate it I'll send a screenshot

I dunno what just happened. I was playing an elimination mission with a friend and killed a regular dreadnought, and I got the** Just Another Bug Hunt ** achievement, despite me not killing any other dreadnoughts. The only thing that I can presume might of caused this is the fact that a Lithophage meteorite event started (the sound cue for the large meteorite crashing into Hoxxes) right after the dreadnought died, but that's just my assumption. Any ideas?

I have noticed with my game that sometimes during a mission the screen starts to flicker and parts of the terrain become see through or dark. This also happened during season 4 but it was only when trying to clean lithophage infections that it happens. Now it mainly happens when core stones are active or when a lot happens on my screen at once. Anyone know a way to fix it. Its annoying and a little painful to the eyes.

Hello, I have a problem, i cannot find any servers on the game.

This begin after the new season update,I was able to play some news missions and do the new seasonal assignments.
Then I accept the last new assignment, "Haz5+", and I found not some servers as always but only 2/3, i choose one with assignment mission but i got an error which said that the parameters of the game are not ok for the assignment. The next day there is no servers on server list...

All things I tried :

Disable all the filters but this do nothing, try to see if work in deep dives but no.
Cancel the haz5+ assignment and restart the game but it do nothing.
Tried first to switch off/on my PC and my internet box. Not works.
Verifying steam files. Not works.
Desactivate my virus protection (BitDefender). Not works.
Authorize all firewall connexions (private/public). Not works.
Uninstall/reinstall the game. Not works. I tried deseperately to host a game, nobody join.
Change the windows time parameters (but already on automatic). Not works.

I never had this problem, the game is on Steam, I launch the DX12 version like always, I play on windows 10 with a good PC, my internet is on FTTH and i'm connected with ethernet cable, no problem with other online games.
I've always played it vanilla so no mods installed or in the save. I'm suscriber on the Legacy version on steam.

I've made a ticket on report a bug website but no response on this topic and other which speack of similar problems.
Sorry for my poor english and thanks by advance if someone can help me.
I'me stuck since the update and I WANT TO PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY !!!

Don't know exactly the version but i saw that i had the wrong version (1.39.1016....) when i saw the message of Shrimp (initialy i was in the legacy version like always).
Then i've done the manipulation (switch to actual version/ back legacy/ then actual version) and launch, it worked i had few servers on list
So I tried to switch again with the version with legacy on steam beta menu, then relaunch the game and i had no servers on servers list, i verify and i'm again on 1.39.101624.O version

So, im on a Lithopage Outbreak mission, and one of the contagion spikes outright doesn’t have the rockpox yellow spots, deeming the mission imposible

This is what the other spike looks like, you can clearly see the yellow spots

So i decided to start digging a bit and wadduyouknow, there’s tons and tons of rockpox inside the wall, this image of my map shows what was behind the spike, and that entire area was mined by me

#

And here’s a video of me exploring said area to show just how much there is, again, everything there was mined and was inside the terrain

unless there were boils like inside the terrain then that's how spikes normally generate

Disable your mods (can do so by using the Safe mode launch option)
Update your GPU drivers
Reinstall your drivers using DDU so all leftovers are properly removed
Try launching with dx11 (Steam only)
Verify the game's files
Try to install the game on another drive
Make sure your save is not corrupted (back it up somewhere, then delete it from the game's folder)

funny little bug that's probably existed since forever is that in the tunnel to memorial hall has sparks on the ceiling that only appear when you're not looking at them. Idk if anyone ever has noticed it or if its supposed to work like that.

i hope this is the right channel for this, sorry for posting heavy videos, but has anybody else experienced this with scout since the new update ?

either spontaneously freezing for seemingly no reason, or dying from full HP, and being instantly frozen when i'm revived.

this has happened at least 4 or 5 times where i wasn't able to record, but it's a recurring enough event that it messes up some missions.

i use Agressive Venting DRAK, Cryo Bolts Crossbow and Cryo grenades in both of those vids

This bug happens at least once per day to me, not sure what is causing it

No loading screen yet spawning in, seeing the drop pod while it drops, seeing the cave and other dwarves, but not seeing the UI and not being able to move

The only fix being restarting the game as pressing ESC doesn't do anything in that case

Well, a person was asking earlier in the main chat if collecting items for scrip in previous seasons was bugged. I have now collected plague hearts in season 3 and data cells in season 2 in the last few hours, and both registered on the requisite seasons page on the terminal, so I have to say that, in solo play at least, everything appears to be working with that.

Can confirm, DX12 shader cache rebuild after driver update can absolutely cause this stuttering behavior the first time you see a given effect. After that, it shouldn't stutter on that same effect again. Basically the first time a shader (a special bit of GPU code to generate a specific effect) runs, it has to compile in real-time (causing the one-time stutter) and the result of that compilation is cached for future calls, so no further stutter.

Some games (like No Man's Sky or Elite Dangerous) do all that shader compilation up front during game load and trade a long wait time at game load vs one-time stutters in-game, but DRG does not.

You can switch to DX11 if stutters are unbearable, however you can also try adding this to your Engine.ini file located in Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor:

yeah, something like that, I don't have this problem in drg, but my several of my friends had the same complaint as you, this helped them to at least reduce stutters

DX11 works a little differently and doesn't have this same issue, so if you're playing on Steam you could always try DX11, though DX12 should stop stuttering once you play for a bit and see all the effects once.
