the other day I tried the few applicable stuff in the troubleshooting and it reduced the crashes to like, once every 2ish hours but it came back today and now at a faster rate of like every 10 minutes or instantly sometimes when joining public multiplayer.

is there any documentation on this stuff

I'd first check your modding menu for installed mods, but Ser pounce said there shouldn't be any with that effect. Then you should each play a solo game to see who has the cheats installed

I did dx11, and even vulkan(the one option in the trouble-shooting)
I verified the game files multiple times
I only have 1 drive.
I backed up my save and did the corruption fix thing again

Oh and does the issue persist when booting into Windows Safe Mode? That way you could find out if something that is running in the background is messing with it

i've been having some incredibly strange issues that have been really frustrating me during gameplay recently...
my audio stutters a lot, and sometimes just cuts out completely, specifically during hectic moments, it always comes back eventually but it always annoys me not getting to hear mission control finish any of his sentences
the other issue that's been hindering my gameplay is that terrain is very slow to update, often times i can see stuff like nitra even though i've already mined it because it takes a solid 2-5 seconds to update the terrain, sometimes i can get completely stuck on escort missions because the tunnels that doretta mines still exist for me and i cant walk through them
it makes playing driller almost unbearable because digging tunnels will take forever, any ideas? my game is lightly modded with just meme stuff, and my computer should be able to handle the game just fine

windows 11 doesn't play nice with DRG in general.
RAM is okay, though on the weaker side.

your CPU is most likely struggling, and while it might not change much for FPS, it affects the sound (audio cutting off) and everything touching the terrain being created/destroyed (this is all handled by the CPU)

is subata t3 "recoil compensator" mod bugged? it used to reduce recoil and spread per shot (which the mod description states) but it doesn't seem to lower recoil anymore and the weapon stats don't show a reduction to recoil when adding it

I am having a problem with the game, while the rest of the game runs fine, whenever i start loading for the second mission of the deep dive it freezes my computer completely and forces me to hard restart the whole thing. I just got the game this problem has only happened when loading the second deep dive mission. While in other missions i might have small frame freezes and i take a bit longer to load, this major freeze only happens at this specific moment

Hello there, fellow miners!

The official wiki page on cargo crate states that it's chance of appearing is based on mission length (15%/20%/35% for L1/L2/L3 respectively).
But i had a suspicion that that is not the case. So i did some research, gathered some data and the data says that chance is still 16%.

Here is the data:
L1: 70 missions, 11 cargo crates (15.7%)
L2: 54 missions, 4 cargo crates (7.4%)
L3: 54 missions, 8 cargo crates (14.8%)

How i gathered the data:
I played in solo mode as scout on haz 1, with music turned off, so i can better hear cargo crate batteries. I leave drop pod, fully explore the cave and then abort mission.

I don't know if this is a bug or the wiki page is incorrect.

Here is the new data:

Yes, L1 is similar to L3, that is not a typo, they differ in distribution of cargo crates.

Regarding 9.9% for L2, i had some anomaly there with 31 missions in a row without a single cargo crate.

2. The second you gain control of your character once you land, throw a grenade
3. the grenade will then be refunded, giving you a free grenade

You can imagine this would be especially useful for the shredder grenade if you join a mission while a swarm is occuring.

Are we the only one, who faced problem like this? When we played last month (and years early), 5 haz and elite DD was very different. Your IPv4 address is likely not unique and shared between multiple customers. That means the provider doesn't know whom the incoming data belongs to and trash bins it, leading to the issues you are experiencing.

It's not the router that is the troublemaker, it's the provider. You are living in a neighbourhood with multiple rooms for rent. The problem is, the internet protocol only considers the house address, not the room.

You can ask your provider, so to speak, to provide your own house, unshared with others, to get around this issue. This may be done for free (rare) or for a fee. Some providers do not allow this request though.

Then there are couriers (TURN) that know your exact room number and transport data packets directly to you, telling the sender to send it to them instead so they can relay it to you.

Steam Datagram Relay is such a courier but he is doing a bad job.

Ok, so I have an issue... I reset my main save and I had all 3 dlc and still have (Megacorp, Dark Future, Rival Tech) and now it seems to be missing the Dark Future pickaxe paintjob (unless there isnt one), and only the dark future paint for Bosco and I seem to be missing the weapon shape for Dark Future... and no other facial stuff aside from the basics
now, I could just be a fool for not knowing if the dlcs supply the same things, but from what Im reading they do, unless they dont

There are servers, in a sense. Steam provides optional connection proxies for users who are all behind NAT (or who choose to always hide their IPs in Steam networking). In some circumstances these are bypassed, but by default they're likely used for most players.

it's just not a "server" in the traditional sense that folks think about in multiplayer games

but there are potentially intermediate "server-like" components to DRG multiplayer, aside from host/client, and if those are having problems, that could in theory impact performance

Pretty difficult to distinguish between a problem with Steam connection proxies vs general network problems, though.

Lots of players, new trick seems to be jumping out of the drop pod right at the end of a mission. They show up on the end screen as tho they survived, but you don’t get the survival bonus for that player. I think the bug is something to do with throwing a grenade seems to allow them to jump out of the drop pod, even though the mission has ended. Has anyone seen this? seems to be happening all the time lately very annoying. Costs the whole team XP ☹️

The only thing the survivor bonus gives is credits. It has no effect on XP.

I think ever since the saint patricks day update ended, I'm not sure, the game has been crashing without fail after the logos. I've been trying safe mode, -disablemodding and even lowering my overall fps, but none of it works. Another thing that happens is that the game tries to open itself after crashing and restarting is the only thing stopping the constant booting of the game that just leads to crashes

I found a decently consistent way of getting stuck too in the exact way the videos of those issues do (being stuck inside something and then no matter what you do you can't get out) but the issue is however just not in the same exact scenarios they did, mine were not inside a pipeline for example. My question is do I create a new issue with my own videos because they might not be the same issue, do I comment on a specific one or all of them because it might still be similar enough? Hey everyone, I am not sure if this has been a known issue for a while, but from testing and theory-crafting with the Sandbox Utilities, Damage Text and Custom Difficulty (Hazard 5 with 4-player scaling) mods, I noticed that Homebrew Explosive does not work with Incendiary Compound on Hyper Propellent PGL. I am always dealing 370 damage (according to damage texts) to Praetorians/Oppressors and doing 670 damage to Menaces. I deal the exact same damage when I equipped Concussive Blast.

Homebrew Powder functions normally when Incendiary Compound is unequipped. Menaces will either die or survive from one shot, Praetorians/Oppressors will take either 2 or 3 shots.

Pressure Wave still doesn't work as intended.

attempting the elite deep dive yesterday during a hacking pod defense my C4 i placed under a bug i wanted to pick back up because it died but it disappeared i dug around where i placed it couldnt find it.. so i pressed detonate and nothing happened either

Out of curiosity. Do "contributions" matter for the visibility towards developers? For example does an issue first have to be "confirmed" before it's looked at? There are quite a lot of open issues that aren't "confirmed" when I look through everything and a lot are so extremely specific that I don't even think any normal player can do much with it in terms of confirming or denying it's a bug 😅

They keep them more visible in the long run I assume, and it might also play a factor in prioritization. As of now I assume (almost) every report gets seen by someone at GSG, since they reply to quite a few, even ones that haven't been confirmed.

However should season 4 release, I can see them only looking at confirmed reports if the amount of daily reports were to go up a lot. This is all just me making assumptions though so don't take it as fact.

anyone know how to fix crippling bad input lag on Windows store/gamepass version? It's not all the time but quite often, at least a couple of times per mission, I will get such bad input delay that my character will just keep moving all over the place when my fingers are off the keys or wont move for a couple of seconds after I press a key. Guys, I need help. I started playing recently, played only 19 hours with a friend, swung together with pleasure and went through missions together. Today, a friend couldn't come in to play. I accordingly went to pass the missy not for assignments. And I got a cheater, at the end of the game I was promoted to level 25 of the character, although I myself reached 13 and was given a bunch of resources. As you can ask to roll back the character to the mission, I want to play for fun with a friend and pump myself. This event killed the mood. How do I contact the administration to resolve this issue? I don't want to be disappointed in the game, it reminded me of the feelings of playing with a friend, as before in minecraft in 2016.

You don't have to contact admins. Cheating is unfortunately not something the devs can do anything about at the moment. However, if you just go to options => save and click on restore save, you can roll back to a previous save of your progression.

I used to use mods, but not even no save + no mods make me safe from crashing

but one way I got to play was if I did the windows troubleshoot on the FSD.exe file properties

it was laggy though, but I have to repeat that process if I want to launch it without it crashing

Something else I notice is that when I look at task manager it says "deep rock galactic" but after a few seconds a "(2)"

I'm not sure if that could be connected

and after that test, it works? but with performance issues though

You can see that someone else is loading in. They probably joined as you were just about to start, making the entire team wait.

It's a rare problem, considering how many people play. Waiting an extra ten seconds should not hinder your mission.

Hmm, it's supposed to be someone loading in that create this issue but

1. it shouldn't be that frequent
2. in this video, someone is apparently unaffected ? The gunner is shooting and killing enemies

Just to be sure, I would still make a report in PleaseFix, with this video and your hardware specs (link is in the pinned message)

I don't wish to make assumptions, I could be very wrong here, but your recording resolution suggests that you might be just under the minimum system specifications. If that is the case, then that might cause such a behaviour. Slower systems can cause weirdness to happen.

I tried running the FSD.exe as admin to fix another problem (something to do with createprocess()24)
I already tried reinstalling the client 3 times and it does not help.
The frames when this prompt is showing is very low ~5fps.
Other steam games run just fine.

Hey everyone, if you have a couple dwarves to promote at the same time. Do not promote one, accept the promotion, and then interact with the terminal. It causes a break in the promotion and you cannot redeem the Matrix cores.

Got a problem transfering my Savefile from Steam to MS Game Store, it worked vice versa but now that I want to play with my X-Box based friends again it ignores the save (despite renaming it and deleting the file extension) treating me like a new player, can anyone help me out?

Seems to be caused by simply having any mod enabled.
