Why is it that changing configs in the game's ini files doesn't actually change the in-game settings? I don't think I've ever come across behavior quite like this before. I'm simply trying to prevent my push-to-talk setting from toggling itself off after every loading screen. =\

Has anyone noticed that doretta's pathing is buggy? i was playing solo haz 4 and came into the heartstone room and doretta busted through a wall, turned around and went back out the hole she just made. She drove down 30 or so meters and poked another hole in the wall. I had it happen on a mission earlier today where she turned around in an open room twice and didn't think anything about it.

I think I discovered a bug maybe? I'm on a dreadnaught hunt and had a meteor spawn, the meteor hit the cocoon, which spawned the hiveguard. The first cycle went normally but after that the hiveguard no longer spawned the sentinels and also stopped dealing damage.

It still follows me and is generally angry at the universe but we are at an impasse.

I don't know if this happens often, but it was the first time it happened for me in about 350+ hours.
You could not insert a matrix cores at the core infuser, but in the middle of the tower. This affected only me and a teammate. best regards

That's so weird, you should try recording it. Losing connection when you host shouldn't happen because this is a peer to peer game. Other people are connecting to your PC. You aren't connecting to anything

I am not sure about that myself. But save files are stored locally so it is possible. But i'd wait a bit longer before you do that. You never know if you will get it later. Or somebody else who knows how to fix it might be able to help you.

so I was playing yesterday and hosting and my game crashed and my laptop went into like an autoreboot mode

i went to rejoin my friends and I joined as a level 1, and it wiped all my save data

I went into my saved game files, and changed what I thought was a recent backup and changed it to player.sav and it was still level 1

theres now 3 player save files when I boot up, but all show level 1, but I'm still scared to delete any, so I just force close DRG

Just an educated guess, but based on your symptoms, I would start by looking for evidence of CPU/GPU throttling based on high temperatures. Laptops have limited thermal capacity, with peak performance determined by how well they can dump heat, and DRG can hit both the CPU and GPU pretty hard.

time to bring it up again -
everytime I close DRG, my laptop screen starts freezing erratically, leaving only my mouse able to move around the screen, and in the one time it didn't, my laptop bluescreened when i was watching youtube and barely had anything else running.
The odd thing is the erratic freezing ceases if i open the game again after closing it
checking task manager for any remaining running processes is impossible due to the freezing.

someone has suggested me reinstall the graphics driver but I'm not sure how even since its integrated. I assume that means going to device manager and uninstalling my Iris xe integrated graphics, then restarting my laptop?
and i assume if i do that and the game still makes my laptop freeze, its not a driver issue?

Not sure if anyone can help me but I recently got a new comp and "Playing Deep Rock Galactic" doesn't work for me anymore and crashes my computer instantly but directx 12 allows me to play. The problem is when i loaded in with directx 12 I lost all my miners progress. Is there anyway to combat this?

When I start up DRG directx 12 and try the escape => options => save => restore save, there is no previous save. I admit i never saved my progress since i didn't think i needed to or even could in an online game. I even tried going on my laptop which is what i initially played on to start the game without directx 12 to see if its still saved there but theres no saves either. Any help?

Nvm I thought itd be in the main save tab but I had to go to restore save to open up the different entires

Has it ever happened to you that you get basically trapped in a mission? After interacting with X thing (has mostly happened when depositing or getting resupplies) I start phasing through everything, and can't properly interact with anything, not even call a drop pod. I can't seem to even do anything against the bugs either, I basically phase through as well as anything I throw at them. This has happened several times on different types of missions and don't see any other option other than restart the whole thing.

hey I've been having a lot of issues with using a ps4 controller on pc, issues are;
-when I call a resup it also uses my class ability (shield for gunner, turret for engi, c4 for driller and equips flare gun for scout)
-using active terminal double presses the use Butten so I go into server list every time
-Triple-tech chambers OC on gunner will only shoot 1 extra time (can use 2 shots if i use kbm)
-can only see the Xbox controls (have tried all the tutorials involving disabling steam input etc. )
-cant throw fuel canister on escort missions

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've been trying to fix these for awhile but cant find any results 😦

Not sure if it's technically a bug, but Shard Diffractor's Bio-Mass Converter can make you exceed 100% of your current "magazine" and even total ammo capacity. The visual display of the ammo when it does this is definitely bugged. If you kill an enemy with the AoE splash, it will keep the "magazine" counter the same (e.g. 49/50), but if you kill it with a direct hit, it will be increased (e.g. 52/50). Either way, it will still increase the total ammo pool after you stop firing and let the gun "recharge."

After several seconds of not taking damage while escaping, or when it reaches a certain range (~10-20m), it will burrow into the ground and disappear. The Huuli Hoarder is able to drop small amounts of crafting materials if shot.

You can have the achievement without this but it pretty much guarantee it instantly.

there are trophies for getting 1-2-3-4 classes to then first promotion, but no trophy for getting a second star.

The next trophy regarding promotion is unlock when you hit silver, silver on all classes, then gold, then gold on all classes

the second star isn't silver. to get to silver you have to promote each class at least 4.

Though it's a known issue that trophies on playstation have some troubles. Don't fix there's any particular fixes but you could always ask in #playstation I guess.

using the low settings preset has the biggest effect but i refuse to believe that this machine can't handle drg

Eventually, you could always try to reinstall the Unreal Engine component.

Yeah, your machine should be able to handle DRG indeed but unlike crashes, performance issues are a lot harder to pinpoint.

yeah that's just a Vermintide problem
Try to see if other games run badly when they shouldn't. If there's nothing specific, it's an issue with DRG. If you got problem, it's something up with your hardware/software.

On average, it's 5x times less powerful that it needs to be, to give you a rough idea.

If you're talking about joining other players: There are no servers. It's either your or the hosts connection that's bad.

Hello I typed my error here like 2-3 months ago and the game still won't open I've tried everything you can think of and I think I'm going insane, no one except me don't seem to have this error. Game won't open on Directx 11, Won't even show a crash, Trying to open on directx 12 gives this crash and NO ONE and I mean NO ONE has this except me. Hi, I have had problems starting the game where when I select any type of startup, I get a text box asking me to download "Direct X Runtime" Once downloaded the game does not start and when I try to hit play from steam I get the same box but this time asking me to uninstall the prerequisites.

it makes my computer heat up quite a lot

I once have a awkward lag whenever i look at the lithophage meteor my fps drop from 58 to 25 which is immediately alleviated when i look away… this has only happed twice out of almost 300 missions

I decided to try a different mission and ended up making it to the drop pod where I fell through the ground and through the floor of the inside of the drop pod and ending up in the bottom of the cavern

So my brother is trying to run deep rock and the screen flickers and stutters before crashing on dx11 and he was getting unreal engine crashes before on the normal launch of the game. Were trying to do a clean GPU install now but that is odd

hes using an nvidia 3060 with 16 gigs of ram so the game should run just fine, oh and an i5-8400

and for some reason it keeps on making him look at the ground

like the screen skips and hes looking down

the game runs fine for like...a few minutes then the game hits really bad framerate drops

I’m not sure if this is a bug, but the KPI terminal says I’ve killed 1448 enemies across the two classes that I have played, whereas the bestiary says that I’ve killed over 4000 Glyphid Grunts.
