So Sony just delisted 3 more countries. We're up to 180 countries that can't play Helldivers 2 now despite AH trying to get it relisted everywhere.
The Helldivers 2 community was tricked by Sony.
Sony declared having a PSN account would be mandatory to play Helldivers 2. The community revolted and trashed the games review score to 13% positive. Sony walked it back and stated they wouldn't be making PSN mandatory.
Declaring victory the community undid the massive wave of negative reviews....
Helldivers 2 is now banned for purchase in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia as of 7 minutes ago. Still trying to say this is Steams fault?

from a quick search, makes stims give you a move speed/damage reduction boost for a bit after use

There's a lot of things in this one that make me retroactively sad. The new armor sets get bonus melee damage. And this Warbond gets a title for completing it.
I like that booster

Like, I don't get a title or unique armor bonus for any of the other sets, but the Catachan/Rambo larpers get bonus melee damage and a title. Good for them, but why is Polar Patriots and Democratic Detonation just default perks...?

They were only trashy cuzz the new armors don't offer anything new, and all the weapons either got nerfed or pre-nerfed. Like the new AR in Polar Patriots is worse than the Liberator and equal to it at best.

Like, Polar Patriots and Democratic Detonation would have both instantly been more worthwhile if the armors benefited you directly in the categories they are implied to fill. IE Polar Patriots getting immunity to slow by snow and blizzards
And Democratic Detonation getting even more Blast Resistance and some fire resistance.
Like just give us snow shoes and it would have been 100% better yeah

I can't find it, but there's a video that makes me cringe of a Polar Patriors armor with the snow cleats running on ice and they still slide.
Also the third armor set in PP is really weird. It's dark blue and orange, and doesn't have snow cleats. Doesn't like strike me as polar.

Someone found a Lever Action rifle and a bolt action rifle in the files but they're incomplete and non-functional. That being said, they come as no surprise given the presence of a Bolt Action in HD1 and the fact Helldivers are bozos and bring Pump Actions and Revolvers into fights against Automatons and Terminids.

AMR I think is like one of the only Support Weapons on record to get a buff and no prior nerf or subsequent nerf.
Makes me sad the Break Action Shotgun is A: a support weapon and B: Light Armor penetration

I don't think Weapon Customization will let you do that. I think it'll be stuff like Camo, scope, and attachments (Flashlight, laser sight).
There wouldn't be a point to Warbonds or a way to sell them if the existing weapons could have their bullets/shells changed.

Yeah, they buffed the SG-8 Sluggers armor pen, but they nerfed it's impact (even though that doesn't make sense cuzz it's the same size shell as the regular SG-8 concentrated into a single point).

The SG-8-S can only hit one thing, and takes more effort to be accurate than its default counterpart the SG-8.

As someone that prefers and likes the SG-8, I think the SG-8-S should cause the same stagger as the SG-8. Cuzz, regardless, they both 1 shot Devastator heads, which IMO is a pretty fuckin' good benchmark.

Solo? Use the AMR or Quazar. If you've got a team reload? Just use the Recoilless.
Well, that's cuzz Machine Guns have practical use in team situations. (Also the fuckin' HMGs Durable Damage, and Armor Pen' is fuckin' bananas. It can kill a Factory Walker by shooting it in the eye with a single mag).

They actually pulled it's max RPMs down because it burned through ammo too fast and its recoil is way to high.

We also haven't got new Automatons or Bugs to fight since Factory Striders... So I am hoping we see something new to fight soon too.

12 mags, shrapnel damage causing insta-kills on Chargers. It could solo objectives like Shrieker Nests, Outposts, Spore Spewers, and Dissident Broadcasts...
The Eruptor and Dominator are basically bolters.
They both are shooting Gyro Jets.
That's why their Ergonomic stats are so bad cuzz they way a fuckton and recoil is bananas when a small rocket shoots out everytime you pull the trigger so the gun needs a shit ton more housing and shrouding to not blast apart from the gyro-jet rounds rockets not destroying the barrels.
The only thing that doesn't make sense about them is why they're rifled the way they are, a Gyro-Jet launcher wouldn't need to be rifle length, cuzz the gryo-jets do all the work in regards to range. Just a weird design thing, I guess.
The Eruptors barrel is neat, though, it's one of those ones that the barrel goes back when the gun shoots. I can't think of the term for it, though.

I played a bit for the first time in a month and is it just me or did the game get an audiovisual overhaul? Certain weapons have different (better) sounds, font seems new, tracers are more distinct, the entire GAME actually feels somehow crisper

I definitely thing the Mag size to Fire Rate is too uneven
I mean, the argument has always been that it isn't that bad. It's just out performed regularly. The task it claims to is better completed by the Liberator Penetrator, the Diligence CS, and now the Tenderizer too.
It's just always competing against 3 weapons at once, and has difficulty proposing a counter argument when leaning into any of the other above aforementioned rifles is more efficient and reliable than the Adjudicator.
I haven't played the latest patch but surprisingly my go to is the SMG 
I also lean heavily to stealth gameplay

The Pummeler's balance reminds me a lot of the Eruptor's balance on launch.

I just had a mission where a dude who was holding like 20 samples got killed because while we were all at extract, one of the other people through a 500KG on the ground in such a way that prevented the guy who had those samples from getting on the shuttle. Which pissed me off, cuzz that guy helped me also collect like the other 20 I was holding cuzz we went around the map clearing all the sub-objectives.
Then when I scolded the dude his response was: "Get your kills up."

This is depressing. Storyline had us cutoff half the Bot Front from the other half, and all Bot planets that got cutoff from Cyberstan have a decay rate of 0%. Despite this there are more players on the Terminid front pushing a bolder up a hill still.

In weird gaming news, Helldivers 2's remaining player base got so fed up with the state of the game's development and patch direction that they're allowing the bot faction to invade Super Earth.
Honestly, the writing about Arrowhead's attitude was on the wall since month 1.

On the one hand, some of the people still bitching about the nerfs to the Incendiary Breaker (yes, the uproar is about one gun again) are the same people who got mad about the factually overtuned Eruptor, which happens to be a vocal minority.
The only actual problem is that AH is balancing based on usage data. Which is why a lot of under-performing weapons continue to under-perform despite buffs.

In a way, but AH has tipped their hand about the fact that they only target weapons for a nerf based on usage data. They claim to have a 60 day plan or some shit.



I personally thought a Traitor faction would have been fun. Mirror match style, fight your own equipment turned against you. You Hellpod in a mech and they Hellpod in a Gatling turret against you.

I do not wanna fight NPCs using an Autocannon.
Also, the Mech has Light Vehicle Armor, and the Gatling Gun has Medium Armor Penetration.
It might not be efficient but it will kill one. Just hard to test, because there isn't a shooting range to test things anywhere in the game.

Yeah, currently the Player Faction has no equipment that is resistant to any of the weaponry the enemy uses.

I think I could cope that if they add the cars and a tank if those vehicles had progressively armor. But I know they won't anytime before likely the first year anniversary.

Oh, the Swamp/Bayou biome is about the only safe map cuzz the land under the water bowls. I forgor. On most other maps with deep water, the ground under the water is close to like a 90 degree angle sometimes.

The Railgun's damage will get a boost too! Durable damage will be increased from 60 to 225 and fully overcharging damage will be increased from 150% to 250%.

However, despite all this some of these known issues still being in the game is super fuckin' bad IMO:
"Large Units have no audio cues" that has been a thing since day 1.
Baffles me how they never noticed: Charges, Bile Titans, Tanks, Hulks, and Factory Striders walking around in total silence.
Hulks technically make ambient noise, but it's communication chatter they only do when not aggro'd.
They did get rid of the Rocket Launcher on the Hulk Bruiser, though, and replaced it with a "Heavy Laser Cannon" and "Increased their fire rate" so...
"Invisible mines"
Insanely bad, further disesentivising people to use them beyond their near uselessness and Anti-Tank Mines which also still triggers when lightweight entities like Helldivers or enemy infantry walk on them.

Anti-Tank Mines would have been shiny if, like I mentioned, they only tripped when a heavy unit walked on them. But a Helldiver in Lightweight armor, and or enemy infantry like Scavengers, Hunters, and Troopers can trigger them the same way a normal mine would trigger makes them worthless cuzz you get less deployed on a longer cooldown. It also take like 2-3 mines to kill a Hulk. Soooooo...

Which, that might be a little different now? Cuzz Hulks have had their armor class reduced, just like the Bile Titan (BTs can now be killed by shooting them in the belly) but still.

How about the fact that the fire suits don't make you fire proof

I mean, there is no such thing as Fire Proof, just Fire-Retardant.
And the DR on that set is insanely substantial in the grand scheme of things.
Plus you don't need fire immunity in Helldivers, because your cape acts as a Fire Blanket and when you dive it exstinguishes the fire.
That's not even me making that up, by the way. If you dive it exstinguishes the burning condition.
imo, if we're that far into the future that helldivers can mostly survive the shock of impact with only moderate airbrakes, they would have tech so you don't atleast immediately take damage from fires

I get what you're saying, but the case where you catch on fire in Helldivers are extreme situations where not igniting wouldn't make any sense. Fire Tornadoes don't just happen. Those planets are extremely hot for that to happen as a regular occurence. And The Automatons are using Napalm, just like Helldivers do. To make matters worse, dev speed slowed down because of their summer vacation + team morale. Over Ambitious Promises, with an absent parent of a Publisher (Sony) also didn't help them either.
Top it all off? A tech debt race cuzz they're using an outmoded game engine.

Like, I didn't know Helldivers 2 was a thing until a couple weeks after it launched.
Cuzz people used to shoot players in the Blue Pre-Order armor cuzz they thought they were cheaters using unreleased gear. Shot them so much the devs have had to release multiple PSAs telling people the Blue Armor is not a cheater.
Which is crazy to me that that can even happen because your publisher did you so dirty on the advertising front.

There are a bunch more. Honestly some of them will be pretty unnoticeable to most of you since Helldivers has been kind of dead on this server, but a lot of it is good overall. I think the... Changes to the Autocannon and the Recoiless are interesting, sad to see they only really buffed the Airburst's reload, but what can you do.

they figured out how Automatons were shooting through cover. They don't really elaborate but the Automatons being able to abuse map generation so well comes from the fact they reliably tracked and shot at you even without LOS so they fixed the Automatons shooting directly at you without LOS which should fix a large chunk of them shooting through walls.
You can also control your Drones better if you like Drone Backpacks.
Also, Devastator's head armors got tweaked down, and tank front armor is back down from Armor Rating 6 (Basically the only thing breaking it are Orbitals) back down to 5 (Commando, RR, and EAT now hurt the tank from the front again).
Tank weakspots are a seperate health pool as well, but damage to the Tank weakspots now also damages the main health pool at 150-200% damage (depending on the type of tank). So if you shoot the tank from the front a bunch, but then shoot it in the weakspot the weakspot will take damage and deal damage to the whole tank and if the main healthpool dies the tank dies, however, the Weakspots health pool is smaller and takes more damage. If you kill the weakspot it will instantly kill the tank (sounds over-complicated but Helldiver's health system is really weird).

Wow, so new tech revealed in Helldivers 2 with the SG-20 Halt in the new warbond. It's not just just got two ammo types, but has two seperate magazines.
Ohhh, I see, so the SG-20 is built off the SG-8 framework. Which the SG-8 line of shotguns have 2 magazines but homogenous ammunition. The Halt is the first one of the line to actually take advantage of the seperate magazines in the line. Nifty. Explains why it's next to the other similar models in the menu and not below the Breakers.

no wonder I was seeing people with the arc gun. I thought it was just because the flying enemies are annoying to shoot down
I kept finding discarded arc weapons that were dropped on the ground that spawned in with the level.
I don't ever usually deploy with a support weapon Statagem cuzz everyone else always does and gives me one later, or I scavenge whatever I can off the ground.

God my first drop was into automaton territory
There is a stun lance in the newest pack
Some of the automaton voicelines imply that they put civilian brains into the foot soldiers
There's the stun lance and then the stun baton, two
Baton doesn't do much damage, but swings left to right and is great for hitting multiple melee guys, won't kill them quick but stuns too. The lance however, it kills things fast and will take off arms and heads.

I got immediately kicked for accidentally team killing the host at the beginning of a round. Dude dropped us in a hot zone and got mad at me. Its part of the game to be team killed. I had to solo a 7tier mission because of his baby ass. It was tough but I managed to do it. FOR DEMOCRACY!

Romayne, buddy, as far as Helldivers goes it ain't that bad in the grand scheme of things. It could be Destiny 2/Bungie pushing 20 dollar skins (20 dollars per class) that do nothing other than look unique.
Besides, we can't be too mad at the end of the day anyways, because Super Credits are earnable.
My only qualm was the window of time they put it in when it would have been more realistic to make it a warbond like they were originally going to.
but they said they wanted Warbonds to be reserved for their content which is... incredibly arbitrary because IMO the sanctity of the in game narrative/universe is already now very flimsy by putting in blatant crossover stuff (unlike the Master Chief set just being an armor set with a different color and referential name).

To Neon's point: they have to make money somehow. I don't agree with the prices, but at the end of the day they have to make money for the game to continue to be live service.

Well the bots use human corpses to build bots or for fuel so I'm sure that might be a source they don't want to snuff out. 
It was a warbond when it was leaked but they said they decided to change it to super store offerings.
this game is so bullshit sometimes. I dropped into a solo blitz into a swarm a flyer bugs. They proceeded to burn all of my reinforments and lose the mission. THen I join another blitz where the mini map is blocked out from spores.

(That and Vote Kick just makes more sense narratively.)
I never tried it since I didn't think of doing it but apparently the flag raises faster if you salute it.

I think the Reprimand and Loyalist are the main sources of value in that Warbond if you don't care about the aesthetic and armor. The Reprimand has both a Wick Flick reload, and a HK Slap.

No, but like Judge Dredd's pistol and (kinda) how Robocop's works (Robocop has a smart link to put it in Cyberpunk terms, but basically the same thing).
Also, apparently the Guard Dog K9 is an Arc Thrower, not a Blitzer and like I predicted does not have any kind of cooldown.
Apparently, the devs are pointing out that it is a bug that the Laser Guard Dog is going on cooldown really quickly. It's according to them, going on cooldown after only halfway heating up; regardless of biome.

Not sure how I feel about the pacifier now, after seeing it has stun rounds. Didn't read much about it before release. Might be a better concussive lib but I hated that gun. I'll still give it a shot
Find stunning in general to be a pretty niche mechanic at best, and an excuse to have slap less damage on stuff at worst sadly. I just don't find use for it or see it when other use stun

There isn't a way in hell it isn't going to get a touch up. It describes itself as only having medium Armor Pen, but it doing that kind of damage implies to me its grenades are using the Arc Thrower's stats.
from what im reading its not the arc that pierces, its the explosion from impact? ill have to get it and play with it
apparently it takes 4-5 hits, 2 headshots with the arc nade launcher. the impact explosion is medium armor peircing but im seeing alot of people saying the arc from the grenade is round ap4

The pacifier doesnt have any magazine cuztomizations so if you wanted a drum mag or a short mag you're outta luck but it has 40 in its base mag so its fine
Playing with the pacifier more it's probably the best stun weapon they've released so far, its comparable to the liberator penetrator damage wise. Medium armor piercing, 10 less damage a shot but more rpm
But the warrant has some bugs with its bullet lockon, certain enemies just can't be locked on apparently

It's not just all 7 barrels, that mode doesn't knock you on your ass. It's the "shoot everything left in the gun all at once mode".
Think of the Smart Shotgun from Cyberpunk 2077 that fires a bunch of different barrels all at once. Now think if all of those barrels fired every single round that was loaded into them all at once, instead of just the salvos.

The new Helldivers 2 Update has a couple surprises inside.
The biggest one here is that Scout Striders and Overseers have become a little more interesting to deal with rather than just disengage with due to the lowering of their armor (Scout Strider Legs and Overseer's chests).
Also there is a bug with the new update to The One True Flag being able to be planted in Large Enemies that is causing the game to crash if you do it, and they are trying to fix it.

The plasma feels awful to use though. The shot dropoff only works like half the time too so sometimes it goes perfectly straight and sometimes its got a 90* curve to it
I've been reading that the spread is bugged and is currently about 10x what it should be too, but take that with a grain of salt. It can go basically sideways from the barrel though so it sounds right

It seems like it might be a snowball effect because when we defeated the Fleshmobs more Factory Striders started spawning and we got free Recoilless Rifles for 24 hours
I think when Shriekers finish something might happen with Impalers or Leviathans. Though, I will say, the Leviathans one is quite steep for how needlessly difficult that particular one is to kill.
But, do keep in mind, technically the shrieker kills percentage completion by the end of the MO can slightly translate into further progress on the other ones. So I won't be totally hopeless yet.
Yeah implaers and Factory striders arent easy but damn thats a lot of leviathans to kill
Well, IMO, Impalers and Leviathans are enemies designed around being destroyed with Stratagems. Leviathans are not designed to be destroyed by Stratagems which is kind of just the fundamental issue with the Leviathan's design as an enemy unit.
Leviathans have weird ass armor points too dont they
mhm. If it isn't an open plains map with them I barely even bother to kill them, the anti tank emplacement is a godsend for those leviathans

Last time I dived I had a taste of my own medicine and got lightning guard dogged 
With an ironically higher chance of survival for landing. Canonically ODST have a pretty decent chance to die on impact.
How does that compare to the 2 min ish life expectancy of the helldiver's tho
Helldivers stick the landing, then get fucking domed by a random bug
Yeah, Helldivers make it out of the pod consistently at least.
And the difference of duration post drop for Helldivers versus ODSTs is that Helldivers have the same kind of training as SEAF; where as ODSTs are elite specialists.
So if an ODST survives the drop they're at least more valuable than a Helldiver.
Cuzz Helldivers get 20 minutes of practical training after the physical fitness exam and then get frozen in cryo storage until they're needed.
I wonder if we'll get the SPNKR for a support weapon or the Spartan Laser.

Covenant vehicles would make sense given what the illuminate are
But UNSC Vehicles are more likely options
I'll be honest, what we really need is an air vehicle option now
Given that like the biggest threats that the illuminate have are airborne
With the issues they had with mechs and the transport I doubt we will get fliers anytime soon

I mean people were spawning the apc into the game in 2024

Cause don’t get me wrong the mech is fun (and I imagine the armored car is too I haven’t tried it) but I can’t recreate a Thunder Run with those and seeing as that whole thing is basically Super Earth ideology it’s a sorely missed opportunity
The armored car is pretty okay. Easy to headshot teammates and its gun is just a heavy machinegun but its fast and fun

Strangely it seems like the halo warbond is going to be a stealthy one
Two suppressed weapons, the SMG and pistol, and armor effect is also stealth
kinda sucks because i really dont feel like stealth is super good in the game
youd need to run off alone or hope your teammates are also stealthy
