#Mesh is different when exported

I’m having a weird problem with this tail mesh, in the editor it looks perfectly fine but when exported in vtube studio and in the viewer it looks bigger and out of place. The 2 meshes are at the same size percentage in the texture atlas and they look normal when switching from the model view to the texture view. Any idea on how I can fix this?

maybe has something to do with all the warning messages, i suggest fixing them

velvet cedar
#

Fixed them and it didn’t work

#

I noticed that the tip is also larger for some reason:/

in live2D viewer, if you cancels physics, and reset model, does it still look bad?

velvet cedar
#

How can I reset the model?

cunning pollen
velvet cedar
#

Still looks the same

cunning pollen
#

ok, in your live2D editor
you say you fixed all the warning messages right? they were all fixed

velvet cedar
#

Yes

cunning pollen
#

what where they about and how did you fixed them?

velvet cedar
#

Those were just deleted layers that were still used as clipping masks, they had nothing to do with the tail

cunning pollen
#

ok but, there were 3 diferent errors, one could be the deleted layers [i believe the last one]
but what about the other two?

velvet cedar
#

I think one was a hidden layer that was used as a mask? And the other one is just because I had the hide selections thing activated

cunning pollen
#

ok, can you take a video of how the model moves in physics windows, using the last option of pose?

velvet cedar
#

Of course 1 sec

#

Is it the [posing]option that you’d like?

cunning pollen
#

yes

velvet cedar
cunning pollen
#

ok, in your model
Is there anything hidden? a folder, a deformer, a layer, whatever

velvet cedar
#

Doesn’t look like it

cunning pollen
#

can you give a check in part tab to make sure there is not a single thing without the eyeicon?

velvet cedar
#

Yeah I checked!

cunning pollen
#

in atlas everything is 100%

#

?

velvet cedar
#

Oh no no I had to reduce a lot^^’ But I made sure that all the tail parts are at the same percentage

cunning pollen
#

oh? what size of atlas are you using?

#

are you on free version?

velvet cedar
#

I got 4 4096x4096

#

Nope

cunning pollen
#

autoplacement or manual?

velvet cedar
#

All manual

cunning pollen
#

mmm try to export again

velvet cedar
#

I did in the meantime but nothing changed

cunning pollen
#

in the meantime? when did you did it?

velvet cedar
#

Like 5 min ago

cunning pollen
#

can you take a video going tru all the pieces of the tail in part tab?

velvet cedar
#

Sure! I’m just going to try and manually shrink down the problem parts first and see if that changes anything

cunning pollen
#

wait... but

#

dont shrink anything

velvet cedar
#

Why not? I just want to try to see if it changes in the viewer

cunning pollen
#

because you still dont know what makes them scale up when export

velvet cedar
#

It kind of fixed it!

cunning pollen
#

the fact it changes when export
means that something is not or in default or in a permutation or somethingin parts

velvet cedar
#

Mm I see

cunning pollen
velvet cedar
#

Yeah no perfect

cunning pollen
#

yeah because we havent found what is the issue

velvet cedar
cunning pollen
#

what does the big rotator does?

velvet cedar
#

That’s the one I used to try and scale down the problem parts

cunning pollen
#

ignoring that rotator

#

at any point of your rig, did you changed the size of the tail?

velvet cedar
#

I’m going to say no, I don’t remember so

#

I’ve managed to resize the tail to it’s original size with the rotator and it doesn’t cause any problems elsewhere, so I’ll take it as solved even if it doesn’t solve the problem to its root^^’
