these are my glue brush settings, if this means anything--

Did you make sure the meshes had significant overlap

Also did you make sure to glue only the overlapping sections

Yeah I did, I basically just copied the short leg and pasted the art mesh and glues the two mesh together. So it's the exact same art parts that were glued

The other short leg was placed into a diff deformer, but I did this before with shirt sleeves and it didn't break like this so...I dunno 🫠

Were they deformed a bit before they were meshed

Also can you double check the mesh of the shorts pantleg

I don't think I deformed anything before meshing.

Nah, they are the exact same for both parts. And there are no holes/gaps in the meshing. I used auto mesh though instead of doing it manually

Could that be an issue?

Automesh shouldn't cause an issue in this case if it was normal prior to glue, but it might be safe to redo it with manual mesh just in case
