Whenever I import a GIF animation, I run into this problem. The GIF quality is not at all as good as the one I see while animating. The colors get weird and sometimes static appears in some areas. Is there a way to fix this?

this is just standard gif compression and it will be the most visible whenever you do gradients
you can try exporting as image sequence and then putting that image sequence in a gifmaker to see if you can get higher quality but overall the gif format is meant to compress images to small filesizes and limit color ranges
