hi!! i started learning live2d earlier today and have learned how to rig the left eye. however, when i tried to reflect it as shown in the tutorial i'm using, it was in the wrong spot completely. turns out i didn't make my model completely symmetrical so it wasn't reflecting right or something?? i tried moving it to the right position but i have no clue how to get it in the right place on every keyframe without somehow moving the entire eye folder to the right place on each frame, which i don't think i'll be able to do. do i need to rig the eye separately or remake my whole model or something??? apologies if there's some super easy fix i'm missing, i've scoured every comment section and reddit post i could find relating to this issue and found nothing.

I think you can create a new parent deformer for the eye deformer, move that one, then delete it

for reflecting I've had the most success when I c/p a symmetrical parent deformer out as well and then reflect them together, then move the child back in. i'm kinda new so not sure if that's best practice but it works

i've tried that, but every time i do it says that they're all have different parents, for reference here is my deformer tab

try making the deformer with only the eye skin deformer and iris roll deformer selected? (not any of the inside layers)

#

so not eyelid, iris closed etc

i think that worked!! thank you so much, sorry if that answer was obivous or something i only started rigging today so i'm not very familar with how deform layers work and stuff

I'm also only on day 12 or something of rigging lmao no problem

this graphic should help! basically all the inside layers will get dragged along for the ride anyways so you only want to select layers that are on the same level
