#Troubleshooting Animation Playback Issues on Model

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering significant issues when playing animations on the model, and I'd like to seek advice from all of you. I'm using translation software, so please forgive any errors. Corrections and suggestions are welcome!

In my first animation sequence, when played on the model, certain parameters seem to not output properly. This discrepancy between the animation editing and the model's playback can be observed in the first comparison video. Within the animation editor, you can see the wrist movement keyframes, but they don't seem to have any effect on the model.

I suspect this might be due to the physics simulation involving the wrists, which prevents the keyframes from being properly output. Besides creating a separate set of parameters specifically for animations, is there any method to prioritize animation keyframes over the physics simulation during playback?

As for the second animation sequence involving sleeping, I'm unable to smoothly set it as the idle animation when facial tracking is disabled within the VTS. Without facial tracking, the animation doesn't play, even when I attempt to toggle it using keyframes.

However, if I reopen the model in VTS without using facial tracking, the idle animation plays smoothly without any issues with the keyframes. But once I activate facial tracking, it stops working again.

The keyframe parameters set for my sleeping animation are: face angle x, face angle y, body angle x, and body angle y.

Thank you all very much for your assistance!

here's the priority for different inputs in vtube studio, higher number = higher priority

#

face tracking input overwrites idle animation, that's why your idle works only when face tracking is off

#

similarly physics is always prioritized

#

so if you use a parameter as a physics output, you will not be able to alter it in any other way

if you create new parameters for the idle animation only there will be no reason to disable facial tracking

#

as they will be different parameters so they will be completely independent

#

regarding the wrists physics in the animation, you can simply add the input for the wrists physics group in the animation file without adding the wrists parameters directly
then in vtube studio, this will cause the physics to activate

Now I feel reassured.

I will redo the parameters used for sleeping animation. Thank you very much for your response.

I am not sure what your physics settings are so I don't know if that is the case
but simply try to remove the wrist movement from the animation file and have the wrist be moved by the arm through physics instead
or
make a separate parameter for the wrist animation
