Deformer not following the layer

I’m pretty sure that’s because the deformer is the parent of the art mesh, and so the art mesh won’t influence the deformer

Isn't that how it's supposed to be? The artmesh under the deformer?

Yeah! But I’m pretty sure I never saw a deformer follow the movement of the art mesh

Is there something you’d like to do with the deformer?

I want the deformer to move when the mesh moves which it's not doing it here.

Isn't the artmesh child of the deformer here? It's under the deformer

yes so the child's movement doesnt affect the parent

aka the artmesh movement will not make the deformer move

do the mouth open movement on a deformer
do mouth XY on a deformer child to mouth open deformer

so the hierarchy is reversed
