o okay you actually mean mouth open, not Y axis (this refers to the head turning up and down)
you need to make keyframes for the lip skin on mouth open
Bottom lip skin didnt have any keys on mouth open
question: why are you adding random keys? on the param?
also easiest to glue the skin to the lip line instead of moving it.. this is kinda complicated to explain so best to look up a video
you can move skin and lip if you select them at the same time while doing the path
but you need to make sure to always have keys on the param you are working [[green keys]]
there is no need to add keys randomly on the param if they dont have a reason [[each hey you create between multiple parameters will increase the permutations between them and if you are not careful you can end with struggling a lot]]
for example here that piece doesnt have green dots [keys] on the parameter you are moving, that means it will not move with that parameter
White dots - of the selected, there is no key (other things not selected can be keyed to the parameter)
Yellow dots - of the selected objects, only some objects have keys on that position
Green dots - of the selected objects, all objects have keys on that position
Yeah, it seemed like you were thinking that the skin had keys where it did not have any set
