for clarity, is your goal to create a duplicate of an existing parameter

ctrl+c is reserved for copying deformers and textures as you can have both a parameter and objects selected at the same time

if you want to duplicate parameters you need to right click them

keyform replication is done with ctrl+shift+c and v
