#Extra vertices appearing when I paste mesh?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm following this tutorial and I'm at 4:03-4:23 and I copied the mesh for my face skin but when I paste it onto the face lines I get extra vertices at all 4 corners in a square shape. If I delete the corner vertices it changes my lineart so there are weird chunks missing, and if I leave them and glue the two meshes together it doesn't warp both layers together in the corner areas. Help?? The pics show the skin's mesh and then the line mesh that has the extra vertices in the corner

Okay just a minute

So at the end I do a test deformation to make sure the lines and skin are moving together correctly and you can see in some spots only the black line seems to be moving and in others the line moves with the white skin deforming with it

you didnt deleted the 4 vertises that were already there before pasting the new ones

Ohhhhh I didn't notice them, my brain interpreted them as being part of the red box 💀 Thank you!!

every layer has 4 vertices that make a box when you import anything

also, as your mesh is smaller than the lineart, you need to make it bigger or it will cut your art

Hmm actually now I'm having another issue. The mesh is copying properly but it's chopping the edges of my outline out. I'm guessing that's because my skin layer doesn't go as far as the edge of my lineart

Oof yep that's what I just discovered. Is there an easy way to extend the mesh without manually editing each vertex?
