@plain gust When you create a new account, you're prompted by the system asking you for a code, at which point you can enter the code of the person that referred you and they'll get 15% of w-e you buy. If you didn't do it when you made the account then you'd have to make a new one, since you can only do it at creation

Gear gets repaired by using materials and things instead of just gold. So while your legendary gear could break, you could also repair it
but you'll need legendary mats in order to repair legendary gear

I think eventually the time sink, especially in aoc (from what I've heard) will outweigh the "benefits" of trolling a specific person. Will need to do PvE to be a top PvP player as you can't get gear through PvP (unless you get really lucky and get corrupted players loot, but that won't be viable to gear up)
It's a PvX game, not a PvE or PvP game, so you need to do both

A corrupted player could "cleanse" its corrupted state by killing itself with an alt account and therefore take the drop items back right. Could that demise the "corrupted" penalty state? Surely this workaround has been taken in account but just wanted to shot it anyways

@lapis echo You may be able to decrease your corruption by dying to a friend who isn't in your guild, but you gain experience debt which acts very similar to corruption (except you don't drop items on death), so it really isn't worth it.

Hey there! Making a video on housing in Ashes, so I'm trying to wrap my head around a little contradiction, from the wiki:
"There will be 50 apartments available for purchase at the Village (stage 3) of a node if the mayor chooses to construct apartment buildings and if there is an available plot to do so."
So this implies 50 apartments available, but just a few lines later:
"Apartments are instanced and only limited in number by the increasing price."
I know the number of apartments increases as the node grows, but this in and of itself contradicts the unlimited instanced supply. Is the "Number of apartments" something different than what I'm getting at here?

Crafters name appears on items they craft. We know this applies to things like armor and weapons. Has not been clarified if that applies to all crafted items like consumables.
Naming of items is under discussion but has not been ruled on. Needs to be looked at to stop people from naming things like an iron sword "Legendary Mithril" to try and scam others as has been an issue in other mmos that have permitted it.

Taverns are mainly a freehold mechanic as described so far. Since ships will be pvp objects would be difficult for most to justify the cost for easy loss.

@rich kraken Check your Intrepid account to make sure your purchase has credited. Look for the small inv tab over to the right often helps. Actual proof of purchase email not landing is a CS ticket probably.

question and i apologize if this has come up beforehand i did a quick search and didn't find it but, will the ranger class be dual wielding if they sub class as say a fighter as well as bow/ranged or strictly just ranged with fighter augments? and maybe go fighter / ranger for hunter since fighters can use all weapons and could off a bow in some situations
