What happens when a low level player enters a higher level node? will he still be able to quest or be forced to go out to lower level zones

but if a node is level 1 then everything is low level, if its level 5 then it must have much lower rate of monsters / quests, and there hasn't been plans to include scaling as far as I know

And if lets say there are 100 level 10 quests at node level 1 there will probably be much lower from 10-30 level 10 quests which will be bad if there a lot of new people

You're right, as far as I understood, it'll be like this: There'll still be enemys relative to your level. It's just that there will also be higher lvl enemys around, so one should be careful on how he moves around. In addition i imagine there's still the concept of aggro range :p .
maybe the higher lvl player will have to move through the low lvl zone or sth like dat since there r few flying mounts or sth like dat
The thing is if a mob is much higher level than you, its aggro range will be bigger

They all start at 0. Once they pop to level 1 there are indicators of the node type. If the node is blasted back to 0, its type stays the same if built up again.

No rewards for corruption beyond the limited resources you can possibly get and the satisfaction of teabagging people. You have to weigh the time sink and other possible losses vs that.
@rustic verge Corruption isn't meant to be 'rewarding' -> corrupt players get, a portion of raw gatherable materials from their victims, some rewards for killing bounty hunters chasing them, some corrupt only quests, and special corrupt only graveyards extra far apart that you don't necessarily go to the closest one.

No, because they don't know exactly when alpha will go to beta. Plus they don't want to set dates that won't be met

Are there any plans to limit ships to nodes that form as port-towns? Would seem kinda silly if you can just yeet your boat from anywhere on the map. Would definitely prefer ships to only launch/dock from port nodes

@unique path Ships can only be launched from land, (not the water), land caravans go through a conversion animation that takes some time to become naval caravans and visa versa. Destroyed ships have to be repaired before being relaunchable.

Lets say a healer, you can be focused on Healing Over Time abilites and another type on straight heals. Does it mean a cleric with mage as secondary is straight heals while cleric with bard is heals over time
a tank could be focused on mitigating damage or more on self healing
if you choose a guardian = tank/tank ..then you will be the ultimate tank but might lack in other areas

Say a corrupt person looks to be by themselves and a solo/small group of bounty hunters goes to kill him, what's stopping the person from telling his friends to sudden log on and gank them?
if they kill any of the people that killed the corrupt person they would get corruption
if they are close nothing, but thats realistic and part of the game, they can be a guild of pks and kill peaople and bounty hunters all the time, you can do that but it has risk
@dreamy trail I don't think there is anything in place besides the effort to set up such a scenario and the increasing corrupt penalty for everyone involved.

Corrupt players don't become more corrupt for killing bounty hunters.
but friends (who aren't corrupted) who kill bounty hunters do get corruption

Bounty hunters are automatically 'combatants' when they're in bounty hunting mode, so no-one gets corruption for killing them.

Rewatched the Asmon interview and during the talk of the 250 vs 250 sieges he said there were things to help any fps and lag related things and one thing he said that there was "default player appearances" to help the client but not sure if that was a siege only thing that happens or an actual in-game option we can toggle

@dreamy trail Confirmed long ago that combat logging will not be a thing. Your "body" will persist in the game world for a time after logout. So only logout somewhere safe

@rustic verge I would expect new gear to come with new max level - Note that AoC gear is a bit more 'disposable' in the first place, you need materials from the tier of the gear to repair it.

Ive seen that elections occur every 30 days, which seems like a long time to have to deal with a bad mayor who say, doesn't play very often suddenly. Is that 30 days of real life time or accelerated game time

Depends on the area -> A lot of 'Kill 20 bears" in an area are "tasks" that you just get for being in the area and not 'quests' that you would get from a node that would be more like "Find the scout we sent out to the area with the bears"

@rustic verge Every class will have a literal utility ability (like opening secret paths, finding mob spawn points, following tracks), but healing is part of the cleric kit (x/cleric gets self healing), and bards are specialized into buffing people (although other classes might have some buffs).
So secondary classes augment your primary classes abilities, are there enough variations with your primary classes abilities to justify 64 different variations, I can see some major overlap unless there's a lot of diversity in your 8 main class ability tables

Problem is if your base class abilities aren't in decent abundance, those flavors won't be different that different if at all, like a x + b could be pretty much the same as 6 other variations unless there's a main class skill table that's large enough to actually have diversity in those same core groups

Since this game has alot of clear inspiration from Lineage 2 I was wondering if it woud take the system front the game (If 2 guilds war each other they can pvp without flagging / risking going red)

There is open world PvP with the corruption system, but both kinds of PvP work under different mechanisms

Yes you can war other guilds without worrying about corruption
the guild wars are outside the open world pvp flagging system
Same with node wars declared those citizens as enemies free to kill without corruption
There are currently 7 different PVP mechanics that do not utilize the flagging system.

only thing that might affect you is if the node you were citizen of well away getting destroyed. players are mostly nomads
so gear isn't in a system of progression that you constantly have to upgrade to be on par with everyone else?

drop system is higher percentage of getting materials to craft the gear/weapon then a completed item when it comes to higher tier gear/weapon. low level gear/weapon tables might be closer to even split of mats vs full item (unkown currently)

The issue with macros is that from an anti cheat metric perspective it's difficult to define what a macro is against a script. And in order to catch all scripts sometimes you have to prevent the macro usage. So really that's a that's a data issue. Apocalypse was an overall testing ground for their action combat and revealed a huge underlying flaw that had it existed in further development then what they were at would have been an immensely bigger issue to fix

they are pre-order packs right now as for how they change after launch unknown
you can buy a pre-order pack now at lowest cost then later upgrade by only paying the difference between the high pre-order pack
the cosmetics you get with during those two purchases will be based on the cosmetics available to the packs at the time of purchase and upgrade

So just so I don't misunderstand. The difference between blacksmithing, armor smithing and weapon smithing is that blacksmithing is essentially crafting tools needed to make weapons, armors, pickaxes, axes, etc. While armorsmithing is for armor and weapon smithing for weponry?

@austere vault We've heard that professions will be able to be self sufficient in making their own tools, so I don't think that blacksmithing would be making tools for other professions.
you wont be able to make the master level tools for master level crafting in other professions i believe greypelt
think of it like in runescape the gatherer can make iron and steel pickaxes for mining but to get a rune pickaxe they'd have to seek out a blacksmith kind of deal is how i interpret that

If you are made "enemy of a node/state" will you be able to kill people there without getting corruption? As they will be able to kill you.

@mighty dagger but the graphics are 4k and they use the unreal engine... i dont think there will be a problem for another century or so if at all
the mix of action and tab targeting will make sure you hit with spells

@mighty dagger the game is using Unreal Engine 4. Unreal Engine 5 is set to release next year allowing Unreal 4 projects to be easily transfered to Unreal 5. Not sure if Intrepid will do this though, but Unreal Engine 4 has by far some of the best graphical opportunities than many other engines

During a siege that has been declared on a node. Will an individual that owns a freehold on the node being attacked be able to hire npc guardโs from the city? So once the city has been sacked, the attackers would have additional resistance if they decided to attack my freehold.
no, there might we wandering guards(somewhat shown in the alpha preview) that could be at the right place at the right time but hard telling right now

With wow theres parsing which is a fun way to be competitive with pve. It seems like this game wont really allow parsing to exist, but will there be a way to be competitive in pve for bragging rights and recognition?
dont forgot tavern owners can rent out rooms and depending on the nodes main race have differnt pallor games

But people's individual reputations will be important
reputations will exist with like thieves guild, college of scholars, ...etc

Mounts can be killed by players, but can be resurrected
Anything on "autoattacks" on a mount?
I think it would be pretty cool to be able to throw potion bombs from a mount as well

Is there any info on character creation that I can read up on? Is it going to be more Eastern based (More sliders, more detail, more options) or more Western based (couple different options for specific features or areas, pretty cookie-cutter)?

the devs have their data collection tools but add-ons for players are not supported as of now
