Negative, it only happens on East, West has been fine and it isn't limited to just me. East is far less stable than what West was, but could also be the current client given we haven't been able to test on West the last 2.5 uptimes as they took West down and only left East up.

So in Ashes the MMO, we will have a skill bound to your weapon, in all the mmo footage we’ve seen ya bound to Q and changed based on your weapon, but the rest of your skills do not. Meaning a mage can wield a book and shoot magic bolts are her basic attack, or equip a sword and presumably swing the sword. That being said a Fighter can equip a bow and shoot it. Correct?
If yes, than can a Fighter also equip a spell book, and shoot magic bolts?

Any class can use any weapon. For the the mmo weapons will have skills tied to them as of last information. That you will see class flavored skills tied to specific weapons remains to be clarified, we have the statement that while they can use any weapons, certain classes using certain weapons will have better effects with that weapon. So your fighter could use the book, just may not be able to combo it with a mage ability that they dont have access to for full damage potential.

I can't change what had been stated in the past, but as we've stated, moving forward into the future, you will always know in advance when a test is happening through official channels on our official website, social media and or email.
I don't feel a formal press announcement of that needs to be made as we are past that point and we've been pretty good about communication and letting people know in advance when the next test is since our Community Team has formed.

Apoc contains a Battle Royale, Castle Siege Mode, and Horde Mode to test various aspects for the MMORPG and at the same time providing entertainment for those eagerly awaiting for the development of the MMO.

I know, but that's small comfort when you've had no response to tickets for over a month and the only thing you keep being told is to send in a ticket. Hopefully they can fix stuff soon. How does intrepid plan on making lower developed characters matter when world bosses invade nodes( alts or new players) or will the world bosses just wreck them all then lower the node level and move on if no raid party comes to aid the node?

I would assume you could get a high node level just through high population density around the node not necessarily high levels grinding harder content around the node, so what happens when the node you are questing around is attacked and as a low level character developing that node will there be incentive to return to the node or are you forced to abandon the node and possibly progressing on that character because at your level you will be destroyed upon entering the zone just to die to a world boss geared towards the top percentage of characters also developing the same node you are

@nova vine Node sieges and raids/invasions include objective points. Even low level characters will be able to help secure the objective points rather than fighting high level mobs directly. Of course, if there are not enough high level characters around to combat the high level mobs directly, the low level characters might be defeated. But, we aren't intended to win every skirmish.
There are several factors which comprise node progression. It's not really based on how many high level characters are adventuring nearby.
There will always be incentives to return to nodes, in general. The reason not to return to a node might be due to high taxes.
Or perhaps if you don't like the current leaders of the node.
A low level citizen could just end their citizenship at one node if they wanted to become a citizen of a different node, but... character progression is not impeded by whether or not you belong to a node. I suppose it could be that high level nodes have high level quests that might help lower level characters progress more quickly, but... there is no evidence that those quests would only be available to citizens of the node that offers them.
And, yes, there is a cap for how many cities and villages there can be. Starting with a cap of 5 Metropolises per server.
They, then, lock out how many cities there can be and then how many towns and villages there can be.

Excellent question on the passive auto defense mechanisms preventing you from being a non-combatant, flagging you as attacking an attacking player, when you did not want to attack, nor be flagged as a combatant.
There was a semi related question on 'would healing/support as a 3rd party mark you as a combatant' and the answer to that was yes. So there will be no pocket buffers and healers for those with minimal gear and weapons. But that does still pose the same unintentional autonomous combat system problem with heal/damage/support.
I have put that question forward, as every month they go through community questions on their live video stream. That is obviously a critical flaw if it hasnt been addressed already. <@&257269635559194625>

The 5 pvp objective castles have weekly events in the 3 attached nodes, leading to a final weekly event once a month for control of the castle itself. Node sieges and the ability of the attackers to destroy freeholds and guild "fortresses" after a successful siege has different mechanics. But the main concern about "offline raiding" has been addressed.

It's all been shifted, as far as I can tell, by Maggie stating that they can't change what was said before, but going forward we will be given a week's notice for testing. In addition to her quotes about internal content roadmaps.
So, instead of repeating the previous timelines, we need to wait for official confirmation that previous timelines are still in play - or, really, wait for Maggie and Sarah to provide us with updated timelines.
The Feb release was mentioned along with weekly weekend testing leading up to that release. And... not only have we not had that weekly testing, but Maggie has stated that the expectation of weekly weekend testing is now obsolete. Which means, the Feb release can't really be valid, either.
We need to wait for official clarification, rather than assume the previous timelines are still valid.

@vague gust An explanation in #news that we are no longer intended to expect weekly testing would have been nice since that is the channel where everyone testing open beta between Dec 18th and the 25th saw Steven's message that after Jan 11th we would have weekly testing until Feb launch. But Maggie thinks only a few people saw that message so it is sufficient for everyone to just tell people that's no longer the case when they ask in other channels.

Hello, Intrepid studios. I'm just one of the many people awaiting the anticipated game, Ashes of Creation. The game is looking great so far to the point I just it to be released at this moment, but I have a problem with the whole bounty and corrupt player system stuff. I get that it is to avoid PKing in the game as much as possible, but lets face it, the aim is to make a game which feels alive. There will always be bad people and good people and its gonna stay that way. Even though the punishment for corrupt players is very tough, I think the fact that players get weaker the more corrupt they are is just too much. The fact that they can be attacked by anyone, they lose their gear, and there's a bounty on their heads is enough. With the current conditions, I don't think anyone would want to become corrupt, making the whole bounty system worthless. Then the game wouldn't feel that alive as it would have been if there were corrupt players. By the way, its not that I want to gank noobs, lol. Okay, I'd explain it this way. Imagine corrupt players remain as strong they are, bounty Hunter System starts to take action, searching for them and taking their gear. Then they get fed up and make a whole guild of corrupt players who raid towns and maybe metropolis. Then they become notorious players in the server. Then an event happens where an alliance is made with some guilds and some other bounty Hunter guild, and they both wage war on the corrupt guild,etc... That's what I think makes the game more alive and I would love to see that in this mmo.
This is just a suggestion by the way, so it's fine if its not taken. I would still play the game. Keep up the good work, Intrepid. Peace out

@hollow fern the corrupt players get weaker, because L2 had almost identical system and there you could have a PK alt char. You could kill noobs and didnt really care if that char lost some items, this is done to counter that

there is huge advantages of that system people always try to control game objectives by PK-ing the competition with this debuff in place they will not be able to monopolize the content so much

We don't know that the rewards are shareable. Also, we don't what removing corruption entails, so may not be worth that effort. But, I think you're probably putting too much emphasis on being a bounty hunter.

Regional pricing has never been confirmed. My.com users have seen regional pricing on the store. But it mirrors the current pricing in USD almost exactly. Please note that ticket volumes at this time are also much larger than usual and they are being addressed as they do come in. @plucky pawn i am in the same boat as emilo. I am an A1 backer, but my permissions on the website are incorrect (still says i need to upgrade package to be able to buy the armor set as example). As well as when I am in game (when there is testing happening) i never received my legendary path for free (which I'm supposed to have as A1 backer) and clicking back into the game from being Alt+tabbed (i clicked on the "unlock this chapter button" accidentally) and it spent 1k embers to unlock legendary path. I have 3 support tickets in for these matters for about 3 weeks now and no response. The only thing I really care about is having my permissions correct for when A1 begins.
