My game seems to be working as intended regardless of my launcher still displaying that error message. It never actually sent me the UE4 crash report. It only displayed the window for error 424 in the top right corner of the launcher as my game launched.

@grand blaze The Battle Royale mode was really just combat testing that people really enjoyed playing, it may or may not stay as a very small offshoot of the game. As far as I know, AoC is still very much an MMORPG.

initially when launching the game i would receive "failed to start the game. the launcher couldn't start the game. error. 424". This also prompted a UE4 crash screen. After using the client repair tool the game launches as intended, and runs as intended. However upon launching the game the "failed to start the game. the launcher couldn't start the game. error. 424" message still pops up in the Interped Client. Though it does not send you the UE4 Crash report as it did initially and the game launches and works fine.

@lofty mica APOC represents sort of half of the combat system - which is to say it's not super representative of the final combat system - APOC is testing the 'action' part of Ashes combat, A0 tested 'tab targeting' sort of more traditional combat - The actual MMO is going to be a combination of the two

it's intended that you can play your character as a 25%/75% split between the two styles in either direction (or 60/40, just not less than 25%)

@empty hare Often it says 100% and is still doing processes in the background. The best option is to not touch anything and wait for it to complete. Once you eventually get the Launch button you are good to go, but when the patcher says 100% does not mean it is done.

I was searching for something about the gears in Ashes of Creation (MMO) but i didn't find what i was looking for so a question i think that we will have deferent types of resistance in the game but will those resistance make an effect on the battle? for example if i where in an extremely hot place (a volcano for example) will I lose health if I didn't have fire resistance? or if i was fighting a frost element monster will having a frost resistance make a deffrent at all?

Specifically weapon skins. In AA, the weapon tiers also changed its appearance. Arguably they got fancier and fancier with each upgraded tier. These weapon skins are cool but rather basic, I dont see the value in having them unless Ashes isnt going to have as intricate weapon system as AA

@plucky pawn alright because my pal has missed out on 2 open test sessions waiting on referrals to get fixed and i told them next time around just go ahead and if nothing can be done i'll take the hit on it. But i'm sure i'm not the only one having that same thing. I noticed in another one about switching referrals it says you can't retroactively change a referral. not sure if that also applies if they have no referring account attached yet. May be something to clarify under

@cinder ridge#840 gotcha - yup, you're definitely not the only one, hence the article! I think at the moment due to the volume it would create, opening a support ticket for referrals is not suggested - unfortunately it may just have to wait until code entry is available through the site again 😦 sorry about that!

so it may wig out on you

I'd recommend just going through the Launcher again to reinstall the game!

Now when I try and log in it wants a 2 factor code that never gets sent to my phone. Is 2 factor ID working and/or is there a work around where I can order some items?

@steep scarab hmm - when I try myself, the only option for setting up new 2FA is through using an app (like Google Authenticator), not a text message. You set up SMS 2FA through the ashesofcreation website previously?

@merry arch if I had to guess, it likely won't be an email submission in the future either! It would be submitting a form with all the requested info (like the one the amazing @tulip hatch linked to you)

that way we make sure all the applications are going to the same place where we can review them all 😃
