@crystal beacon I am going to assume you mean the Intrepid Bucks you gain from referrals. Those are generated by 15% of the total cash that those referrals buy from Intrepid. After a verification period that balance becomes available for you to spend on whatever you want, including that months sub. You can at a certain level request cash back to be sent to you. (they haven't given the threshold for it yet, but since there most likely would be transfer fees from a bank or such involved don't expect them to spend $5 to send you a $1.) The number of referrals does not reduce your monthly sub permanently. If your referrals stop spending money, you stop getting cash.

A warrior's charge can for instance be
If you are a 2ndary class mage, added with a teleport augment that makes you teleport to the target instead of charging towards an enemy
If you are a 2ndary class rogue, added with a stealth augment that makes you become stealthed while charging towards an enemy

@daring pendant There were revival points in A0 and they've mentioned having them for say castle siege related content. I think that it's normally intended that you appear at the closest one to where you die. Clerics in A0 had a resurrection spell that could bring people back to life on a long cooldown if they hadn't released. Corrupt players use separate respawn points spaced further apart and it sounds like a corrupt player can be sent to a respawn location with some amount of randomness involved. They've talked about respawns for node sieges moving based on the progress of the battle, for example the attackers get a respawn point closer to the final objective after capturing objectives along the way (so it sounds like at least for node sieges your intended to re-enter the fight)

Quick question, I believe someone asked this on a stream but want to confirm the answer.
Is there going to be any cross server features? Such as a PvP instance where you cannot get it to pop because of lack of players, will they fill by grabbing players from another server?
And I know they are trying to avoid instances as much as possible.

Yo I have a question which may be on the minds of the devs for later or soon or maybe they never thought of it. I want to know if we will be getting any Heteromorphic Races like undead, insects or lycanthropes. I just think that the current races we have are all to common and basic. Now I know that this is a game and not a boom or movie so there is important things like balancing and gameplay mechanics that would go into it but if there is the slight chance that we will be getting to play as a race typically seen as evil or as not the mc of the player character it would make me buy the 350$ version right now 😂😅

This has already been asked and answered for about a million times, but if you are wondering whether the server for A1 is up, everything will be announced on the A1 channel, and if you aren't on that channel, I highly suggest you do so since it will come up with many updates and bug announcements. If you have already requested access and waiting, you can just try the game out to see whether the servers are up or not. Once again, I suggest getting into the A1 channels (instructions have been sent via email) and if you have any issues, thats what the mods are here for. 😄

@azure birch yeah I'd say the system reqs listed in that thread are too low - In an interview before Jeffrey stated that a gtx 960 was the goal minimum GPU to run AoC - This doesn't seem to be an official statement though - I'd then assume a system that doesn't bottleneck that GPU

@sweet umbra its all based of the contract between developer and publisher in this case game net took all licensed data from PA and translated everything themselves uploaded to servers and also had the account data base and cash shop account specifically for that region.. so in that regards unless intrepid has some bad language in the contract which based of statements i highly doubt, this should never happen to ashes, do keep in mine that was the small ru only server as well bdo na Eu is run by kakao... “cashcow” and they do their own localization translations but based of statements made about p2w i don’t think they have full control over data outside of the cash shop purchase history

The other thing too based off gamenets statements in which they claim they can provide proof and records for everything, they did everything in their power to try to reach agreement to keep servers going and or at least until pa could do their own re translation and re publish the game in ru while also looking into the complex matter of an actual data transfer which they did say was very unlikely due to legality and all sorts of reasons, which in turn points the finger at PA being the ones at fault which would be very much in line with kakao statements on na Eu p2w in which they said they weren’t going to do but pa did a few months later anyways and kakao said they can’t feasibly stop them from implementing said changes how ever true that is, but given known info most fingers seem to point to the developer being at fault. So as this relates to intrepid i trust them so much more just from alpha access updates and issues, keeping us informed , their goals, and being pretty transparent even given the current and previous nda and the response to the my.com you shouldn’t have to worry about similar issues to this happening with ashes. Also personal and side note comparison PA is trash can at responding to issues, things getting fixed that dont need it or that isn’t wanted, status of major issues is unknown until sometimes ninja fixes months later, granted there is translation issues as well as communication from pa to kakao to actual updates and fixes. But intrepid has been so far 1000x more transparent and on top of things in regards to thighs in alpha and current status, and yes it’s not full game with full player base but we’re talking hours vs weeks and months

i've seen people complain about how bad this game is gonna be, simply because they seen the combat set up. they ignore the fact it's completely in testing phase, and nothing is set in stone at this time. there are alot of people that just simply will not pay attention to the facts, and just grab what little info they have and run with that. it can't be helped.
i can say what i've seen so far, steve and the crew has done a great job, and we're barely scratching the surface. i'm loving what i see and am seriously itching to see what is in store yet 😛

js personally the core thought for me would be becasue the content creators are more likely to explain things and the reason for specific modes or current status and what viewers are looking at, and actually answer chat with reasonably accurate info as most of them are in and out of all areas of info and interacting daily within the community, so yea they paid as much as you but they normally go the extra step daily/weekly, and help keep the buzz going to ❤

The pre-orders offer a bunch of cosmetic awards, but none of them are P2W(as it should be), but does this mean that, when the game is launched there will be a cash shop for cosmetics/convenience items too? A0 you could also pick a name, but chat functionality was limited, so it really didn't matter. The name reservation is said to probably occur before A1P2, so early next year.

Look in your documents folder and downloads for any intrepid/ashes stuff to delete, and if you have the taskbar to search through your system typing in %appdata% will allow you to pull that up and delete the stuff there, and you should be good to go and install again

One of the main issues with the LFG system that is a part of WoW is it became so easy to get a group, you stopped caring about the people in that group. You pushed a button and after some time you were randomly matched with people in specific rolls and away you went, half the time not even paying attention to the names of the people you were with, they became more tools rather then group mates. They want to not include that in Ashes, if you want to group with people you have to seek people out. There will be tools in place, like mentioned, taverns where people might gather to form the groups, that type of thing, but the LFG system like in WoW is one of the big things this game (and several others launching in the future) is trying to get away from.

When the ability is active it restricts the attack on the sword to just stabbing which causes the hit area to be smaller
It does however block projectiles but that is the ability it has no just becuz it’s a shield

My guess when they get everything working well a few big glitches and mishaps. @digital yacht yes it's an ability just like how shield block will be ability in game. I guess looking back at the question could be interpreted as false info or depending on the way you read the question and assume they would be using the ability to block then sword swing it's fine, really up to how you read his question
Since u can technically use both the shield and sword at the same time the item does work like how the question was asked.

It's not made to challenge us, quite the contrary, it's made so we feel good about ourselves as we plow through content unchallenged. Downscaling, on the other hand, as it was done in GW2 is more acceptable.

Basically is data mining going to happen? also, are all classes even classes that aren't leaning towards being magic users (tank/tank), going to be casting magic and have these big magic animations? like the wall thing they can cast? Just wondering if there's going to be a separation between non-magic users and magic users.

And all classes have some form of "Magic".. Most likely, would be strange for someone to not utilize a force that is there (lore wise)
Big animations however, unknown. I don't really see an Assassin have big animations, but we do not know.
Separation will be between Physical vs Magical dmg most likely,

Data mining usually is more often a thing in games that have rng everywhere , from gear drops and enchanting rates and fail rates to actual dmg numbers and and status effect/cc chances. based off how open they have been i don’t think there will be a need for it so much, hit numbers exist at least right now and with action combat and their statements about limiting cc more to immobilize or spell blocks trying to stay away from not allowing combat, the big thing would be any type of crafting enchanting failure rates which they have said they don’t want to make it insane or overly based on gear the most that would be truly mined would be drop rates which most people can get a rough feel for just by average drops per hr or whatever the base line be for this game

I'd dislike being a physical damage user and having to cast big spell animation. example, being a tank/tank and summoning a magic wall to defend myself, when the spell animation can be the shield going red.
As far as data mining, I believe some things should be shown on a media outlet that shows SOME things to expect for future content, but not HOW to get it. everything else as was stated should be black boxed and we should have to figure out how to get the items not shown as well as the items shown.
I'm glad they're going to blackbox things.

@remote cosmos I think the lifetime was part of the kickstarter only. The only packages now are the one on the website. And those are also limited as they provide early access so once the game leaves alpha and beta those packages will most likely get modified. Also the rewards are all limited too

There are no plans for a LFG/LFR system. Party formation is meant to be localized. There may be a local board in a player run inn that has notices posted, but the system where you log on, que, and get put together with some random people from all over the server is not making an appearance.
This gets back to the social roots of MMOs and lessens the negative actions that occur when people feel they are anonymous and their actions in a group don't follow them. Your characters reputation will follow you from encounter to encounter. Play nice with others, get invited again. Act like an ass, and you will spend lots of time trying to find people that are willing to accept you into their group.

They have said that you will be able to decorate your homes to your hearts content. We have confirmation on many different kinds of crafted furniture and other stuff for housing. Will you be able to affect locations outside of housing in the same way with any permanence has not been confirmed. Things like painted slogans/grafitti that other games have had, have been said to be a no. You will be able to assign permissions of various levels to who can move stuff in your house like many other mmos with housing.

That is achieved by opening the NDA link in your first email, which adds you to a queue for processing. After doing that, keep trying the link in pinned messages until you can load into that forum thread. Ensure you are logged into your Ashes Account while trying
