Yes, they have that option already. Once you have purchased a pack, you may purchase any of the future pack cosmetics at that pack level or lower a la carte. If you were a KS/Summer backer you may purchase any of the cosmetics a la carte also. So if you have already purchased a package @winter flame then you will be able to get the August cloak.

Elves with blue skin? No. We want there to be a lot of room for people to manifest their own identity to roleplay how they want to from even an appearance standpoint, but there will be parameters from which to customize. The culture and identity of our races will exist within a range that make them identifiable. The spectrum for elves will not involve blue skin. There will be sliding scales for Hair / facial structure / bones / height / width / body fat % / body hair on different parts of the body - hair on feet can be dialed up - female dwarven beards that will not match the male dwarven beard, not as voluminous as the males, braided, but it is some facial hair we want to identify the Dünir with, not the Niküa.

It is real time, however that only applies to the dragon mounts from eggs.Which will be VERY rare. All other mounts your character can gain live forever
The lifespan is because dragonmounts from eggs will fly, and that is an extremely exclusive ability in Ashes. Normally reserved for kings and queens of one of the five castles, or a mayor of a metropolis level node. Of which five can exist in the world.

They also stated from the very beginning that they had all the funding they needed to complete the game and any extra would be helping to add more to the game.

will pvp and pvm have seperate updates with game mechanics, example being- if a particular ability is perfectly balanced in pve, but is op in pvp. will an update to nerf the ability only affect pvp, or will it be a global update that would affect pvp and pve, which could possibly render the ability useless in pve. this was a big problem for many people in ESO because the pvp community would complain and it would greatly affect the pve community, or vise versa where pve would complain and it would vastly affect pvp.

If you are just going to let them tickle down your health and debuff you, then you can both waste each others time. They will simply add a timer to the flag, that way if they die, you take the hit, even if there was no "deathblow." This is more for #aoc-discussion though, we have confirmation that corruption will not be tested in game until A2, so arguing over speculation till then is pointless.

There will not be traditional areas with certain level mobs ( so no level 20 zone)
areas will have mobs of various levels - you can run into a level 10 mob on the road then cross the river in the same area and you run into a level 30 mob

The node will adjust the mobs depending on the population and levels of the players in the area - so you may encounter a level 10-30 mobs one day then return to the same area and mobs will be more dangerous

Exactly. IIRC they said they want to make the GTX 970 the recommended. If you wish for some specific specs, then I suggest using specs that can run high on BDO, which means a bit higher than recommended.

Cosmetics-wise, no. You only get access to the Kickstarter ones if they’re the only ones you’ve paid for. However, if you do have a pack already (and have registered it to your account on the site) you are able to pick out individual items you’d like to buy instead of needing to purchase the entire pack.

No, I knew they'd be changing the cosmetics in the future "pre-sales" to get more and more people to essentially back the project. Hi, I have a few questions! They touched base that Legendary items would be one of a kind, they also touched a bit into crafting, that you could essentially break down an item to build a better item from that, while also, maybe, receiving the recipe/plans for said item, when successfully doing so. "reverse engineer' if you may. So question is, will you be able to "reverse engineer" Legendary Items? Will Legendary Items scale with your level, so when new xpacs come out or level goes up, the Legendary Item is still viable?

@kindred wren we don't know much about the crafting in Ashes, But Intrepid said Legendries will be one of a kind so I don't believe you can reverse engineer them from intrepid's statement. As for Legendries being viable for later xpacs that is still unknown.

That’s the best way to tell what your connection will be. There will be no region locking so I’d expect 200-300 ping while there I guess?

With Cleric being the prominent healer class, will there be the ability to spec to a more caster based ‘heal from the back’ magical support class vs the melee battle cleric that has been portrayed in the pax/alpha videos to date?
Contex: I enjoyed being a ‘whack-a-mole’ stand at the back and oversea the fight support healer and curious if the cleric will support this type of play style.
To be clear I am happy doing damage while healing, just prefer caster based spells in between heals vs melee battle front damage.

I guess I am not clear if the weapon will be the clear differentiator to determine melee vs magic or if the archetype defines what is the ‘designed’ play style. Similar to the effect high levels of corruption will have on your character. Please realize that there is no plan to incorporate a toothless penalty system.

Nope, they have come out a couple times and said that it won't be offered again.
It was marked exclusive to the KS, and they wordsmithed it so it was available in the Summer backing. Turns out people really don't like to be told "The price was exclusive, not the item." So odds of them rolling it out on offer again are very slim.

They had said early on that you would need to be present at a market kiosk, but that has been rethought as many people would lose their minds if they had to spend hours maintaining a stall. The current scuttlebutt is a rental system, you stock it for the time period, and go do other things. No details on how long for or things like preference for node citizens over others.

You may be able to do some stuff within a certain level range, the examples given were node quests given by mayors to kill some wolves or something. But those wolves will have levels so you'd need to be close enough in level to the enemies to fight them.
So a level 20 and 30 might be fine together, but a 30 and 1 probably not.

In the gameplay preview today, we saw things being dropped on player death. do we know what the conditions for that are?

@tacit lance Hard to say what is/isn't a part of Alpha 1 in that respect—could just be something specifically for Alpha 1 that they were showing there.
But as for item dropping on death, we know that you drop a percentage of your carried raw materials as a Non-Combatant (someone who has not flagged for combat and attacked someone else). Combatants (those who flag for PvP and attack) drop half of those. And Corrupt players (those who have killed a noncombatant) are able to drop weapons and gear alongside dropping a percentage of their carried raw materials.

So Alpha 2 after Alpha 1 Phase 2. And Alpha 1 Phase 2 starts in Q2 2019. Does that mean that Alpha 2 will be Q3 2019 or the same Q2 2019?

anything past Q2 2019 for A2 would be speculation- we have no official statement from intrepid regarding the other alpha and betas

Expect those timelines to change. They have a firm "before 2020" from Steven multiple times. So the later phases may only get minor timeline love. If they drop B0 completely and give A2 a couple months, they should still be on track. Remember, you get what you paid for. The $250 jump from A1 to A2 access needed to be justified beyond "Well, you got more cosmetics!"

will the warframe-like camera be permanent? it looks cool but i dont see it working with the mountain sized world bosses or when 30+ spells are being casted in large-scale pvp
