This happened twice. The day after the 2.8 update, and today. The Splash screen appears, but then the game closes out. It will not load. I repeatedly keep starting game to no avail.

It closes out or just sits on the loading screen?

It closes out and brings me back to the Steam page. There is a pop-up that appears for a split second just before it closes. I included a screenshot of it here.

Was that for the one I reported? Because that was hanging not crashing.
