Once again, a feature that feels half-finished in terms of UI, similar to premade limitations: https://discord.com/channels/255388470762143745/1254981241585930261

So far none of my opponents used an alt perk and I'm not surprised because they're not easy to notice when you don't know about them, at all.

  1. Add some kind of distinguishing feature for perks that can be changed so that it catches user's attention. See random example on screenshot (2 means 2nd possible perk got picked). This would also help people learn them while playing, to quickly see which perk opponent decided to use, art images are IMO less memorable/noticable, especially when only 1 out of 3 perks can change.

  2. Add keybindings for quickly changing alt perks during the match. E.g. 1 to cycle 1st perk, 2 to cycle 2nd and 3 to cycle 3rd.

  3. Since alt perks are saved per deck, move selection to the deckbuilder, not main menu, so that it's obvious and you don't have to switch menus while mass deckbuilding.

  4. Show the description of a perk on hover, not on click. So that you can quickly check what other perks do without switching them.

i agree, there should at least be some UI notifier to say "hey, put your mouse over here" - a button, a different border, or something

One more thing: the fast blinking "perk coming soon" thing added last patch is not too great. If the user doesn't know about alt perks and the clicking action, it achieves nothing. If an icon like above was used, you could e.g. slowly change its color from yellow to red to indicate how close till the perk can be changed it is, in a way that doesn't disturb epileptics and doesn't annoy eyes.

(and of course a tutorial would do an even better job than anything I mentioned, but my belief for tutorials is close to 0% at this point)

The fact that it happens on all perks really isn't great either - a new player playing Rekt might notice it, click on their first perk, and nothing happens. Then they see it for their second perk, click it, and nothing happens again.

By the time their third perk (which actually has an alt) comes around, they're not going to click on anything since they think "oh it's bugged and doesn't work"

if it only flashed for alt perks then fair enough

but it's still like maybe 10% of the UI that a feature like this needs Puff_Hurt

Ye, not good for alt perks for sure. Good for letting players know about perk changes coming soon, but not visible enough for people who don't watch XP anyways once again. Which is like the majority of the playerbase
