that adventure's gimmick is "summon scrat defenses in the arena at random, the owner is the player whose side it landed in"
my guess is that the way it works is that it summons a scrat defense for you, then immediately changes the team to the opponent's if it lands in their arena, and that happened while boom buggy was firing
