So I'm doing some test hands for maliss while I wait for my actual cards to arrive and I'm noticing White Binder can't be made with two monsters even though it's material requirements are 2+ monster including a Maliss. And I'm trying to make it with a Red Ransom and Chessy Cat but it doesn't appear as available to summon in my extra deck but if I have for example an extra monster in Dotscaper I can if I use all three

Link monsters must use materials totaling their Link-rating. A Link-3 monster requires 3 monsters-worth of materials. If a Link monster is used as a material, it can either be treated as 1 material, or materials equal its own Link-rating (Link-3 monsters can be 1 or 3 materials, but not 2).
