#can’t activate odd eyes raging dragon overlay units?

Hi there!
When I summon odd eyes raging dragon it will not let me detach its overlay units and use its special ability. It can let me do that for other XYZ monsters but not for that one. If it’s something I’m doing wrong on my end please let me know.

Did you use an xyz monster as a material for it?
