Expand the functionality of the in-star-system measuring tool.

Currently the scope of the tool’s functionality is limited to dragging from a stationary ship to a potential waypoint to obtain a popup showing travel time for the ship, distance in AU, and required hydrogen for travel.

It would be beneficial if the scope of the tool’s functionality was expanded to allow dragging between any two waypoints to obtain a distance in AU, and to allow dragging from a moving ship to any waypoint to obtain a distance in AU and (if it’s the ship’s current destination) remaining travel time.

Sort of … I’m suggesting the improvement of an already existent tool in contrast to that suggestion which seems to be specific to Time Machine. I would very much like to see the tool function in TM as well as where it currently functions.

same idea, just that this isnt specific to tm (tbh the other one doesnt even really need to be tm specific)

you need a general solution like a ruler.

if you've been trying to get the correct range for CR down to 1AU like us CR people, it's a life and death difference.
right now we need to use 3rd party programs.
