This will create orbit s f rotation around the center and circular map. Ships could change orbits only..... I have seen implemetation in some other games. This could imtroduce new mods to deal with gravity.

I played few games with orbital mechanical and it was real fun - this a real space game
well yeah, i love them
but its always a main focus for a reason
orbital mechanics is counter intuitive and hard to comprehend at times
adding it as a side mechanics just for funsies wont work great especially in a game where movement is a core mechanic (movement/translation with orbital mechanics is much more complicated and tedious)

I definitely think thereâs interest in having something so different in the game, not sure Iâd add it to BLS though. With respect to mechanics, I would be worried the different style might add excessive loading to the servers; however, I see no reason why movement couldnât be in slower steps (like WS) rather than the constant movement of BLS or YWS (if a difference like that would help).

I really like the idea of event stars a event scanner and black hole events just make sense.. they could appear on scanner and it takes you to a random solar system that's about to be devoured by a black hole and you gotta loot it defeat cerbs and not get eaten by the hole
Make it public event with as many players that wanna join.. MMO strat but also trolls

I think the âarenaâ style short match really appeals to players generally. BLS is supposed to meet that interest, but it also feels as though it hasnât worked for a lot of player who are interested in that style of match.
Black Hole is just a name.
Itâs the ability to participate in an arena style match, that suits a variety of playersâ gaming styles, that I think could finally fix BLS and end all our âslightly differentâ suggestions.
So, âwhat general match characteristics does it need?â is probably the question we should be asking.
I think the best place to put this arena-styled gameplay should be called Dark Blue Star, maybe? While regular Blue Star matches are free-for-alls, and Dark Blue Stars are team-based deathmatches. Perhaps it can have the same characteristics as the Blue Star? Same damage points, same health points, but a different star damage radius. Iâm thinking maybe a more volatile star that has a more wider damage radius? The star could cover its entire sector, and maybe half of the surrounding sectors as well? Plus, a wider map, and maybe more time? For time, I think a 5-10 minute match will be sufficient enough, with a distributed reward system based on contributions and participation in the deathmatch.
A team deathmatch would be fun, but imo should be completely separate from BLS. It already doesn't have the player base for good matchmaking, it doesn't need to get worse.
