it makes cata op if the rockets can't be killed in barrier
it shoots too many rockets
for them to be shot down in any other way than in barrier
i believe the opposite, that this is a bad thing and that if rockets are invulnerable! in barrier, which is a major advantage for the shooter,
cata needs to have far fewer rockets
other rockets like rocket drone damage should probably be nerfed too
shooting rockets is not some sophisticated strategy that we need more of
if you are loading with relic drones out, you are pretty much defeated
there's an impractical solution to every problem
This will result in rocket walls at lower tech levels, which will result in earlier p1 turtling.
And at the high tech level it won't do anything, since the combat is done through leap and blast drones. Any ship near enemy p1 is a convenient free kill and leap initiator
In low level WS people still haven't found out how op leap is
They even load relics from p10s

my point is that making more things invulnerable leads to exploits - as s7 said for example, a rocket wall of invincible rockets from any number of sources

which was to give non-delta rockets more value
we can agree on that
(some) rockets are fast and hard to shoot down while moving
this is already a problem when you run out of barriers to keep them off
rocket drones are also already used extensively in sub-top tier fights for this reason
no one has 6 barriers ready in defense
they have a few, and some may be depleted by previous attacks
so you would make everyone have 6 defense ships with barriers and turtle
to ward off the OP rocket attack
while warding off leaps too
it's true that it's rare to let the enemy fs cata on your hydro in top tier. but it happens there too.
it's not easy to handle too. you spend a barrier and impulse or few massbatts to clear out all the rockets.
it happens a lot more in lower tiers
well if you make the cata rockets invulnerable, it's game over for the defender in most cases.
you are oversimplifying a very complex problem with having a large number of relics
why did the miners have to drop all the time? because the enemy is relying on mining speed to outfarm you too.
it's not laziness or incompetence.
make barriers 4h and you are done! 😄
there were many times i had to rush to the scene and impulse over cata rockets in the last moments
if you remove 2h reaction time, it's significant
interesting, but maybe won't make much of a difference because most barrier activation is done with a fair amount of warning
