#Donating to the Flagship

Why.
Only 4 options... Some too big some too small... Custom let's you give whatever you wanna give.
What amount you want to give and is hard to give for example?
I don't even see why this is a problem. Custom amount is just a better system instead of paying multiple times.
yet there should be a minimum amount such as 10k though.
What's the custom amount you want to donate that's not a choice.
My point is it isn't a real problem.
If you for example wanted to donate everything you have, then it would be more annoying than needed. It is such an easy thing to implement.
And also why not to your question?
Or instead of having a custom donating, you could have a max donation.
Why not? Perhaps because dev development time is better used for any of the hundreds of actual bugs and number fixes the game is in desperate need of.
That is a seperate issue.
This suggestion section isn't about bugs. It is about ideas.
You can talk about bug reports in bug-reports.
I’m talking about development time for something that is needed verse something that isn’t.
Dev team isn’t gonna have time for everything you can pretend they’re unrelated but because of limited time and changed you have to measure the value
It’s rather invaluable
Just save up more
Or click the smaller donation 3-5 times
So what better suggestions do you specifically have to offer?
That is up to the dev to decite, not you.
You can think what you want, yet youre not the dev though.
I have made lots of suggestions here both my own and commenting on others. Feel free to do a search and see what pops up. I tag all my suggestions with the related tags plus tacos for easy look up.
in my opinion, this is at the bottom of the list for QOL options
it could be nice, sure, but I'd much rather the dev do something like transport UI showing boosts
Of course, I don't deny that.
Of course it is a bottom thing that is simple, easy, and is not essential to implement.
Yet what I am saying is that any suggestions that could work are not dumb.
The difference between this and transport UI is that this would be a permanent change.
While on ships and transports are in constant change.
Because UI changes over time.
Transports not showing boosted arts make people use RSE when its not needed and waste hydrogen going to planets to double check. Its probably a top needed QOL change for the game.
I didn't say this suggestion is dumb, it could be implemented nicely. However, it would require a UI rework and novel code, definitely not an easy-tier implementation.
Oh you mean boosted arts, i thought you meant Colors of some kind, my bad.
Ofcourse but that is already popular, seen by the amount of upvotes for it.
I've donated to the flagship plenty of times, and this has never crossed my mind. Since flagships take months from several players to level, you end up just tossing some money when its available. I much prefer the quick select button to have to enter a custom amount.
Idk, this is outside of QOL and more situationally helpful? It may save 3 seconds every couple months?
I guess for me, if the devs have to choose carefully what to work on, I'd suggest to never spend a second on this 😅
Well instead of custom amount, could be a max amount button too?
Is it possible to remove the notification that comes up at each donation? Just curious, as it tends to be quite annoying
Depends on person to person. 3 Seconds is clearly not a realistic wording of the situation. Yet it doesn't save that much time of course. It is just that its not a clean setup.
donation are near worthless unless they are measured in millions, so that only applies to a sect of the player base
I would HIGHLY recommend lower lvl players grind planet upgrades before even opening the FS donation page
Even at higher lvls... I'm not too keen on upgrading my home corp FS. It costs way too much for me to make considerable dents, and I'm still trying to get to 17M so I can play rs11
Honestly if you can’t be using the 8 mill button probably too early in the account to be donating anyway
admittedly, I'm even less enthusiastic about WS related mechanics with the DN changes
At best, upgrading FS is also strategically neutral, as it pumps your matchmaking score. Some modules are really powerful, but it gives harder matches
So its harder to justify donating 100s of millions to a strategically neutral play, when I could progress myself considerably
Fair points
Good arguments.
Yet at some point in the future I am sure that such a feature would be needed. Not now of course.
Yet if the economy scales and new features and upgrades and new max levels were implemented.
The devs would need to make a new setup for donations anyway.
I mean donation options could change with one's credit cap
Idk, thats a fair opinion.
For me, I just hope development attention is spent on the many other things players have suggested/reported
Yes
How, as each time I donate it asks if I want to show it in corp or not. This is why I like this idea about custom donations and why I argued about it in the first place. As every time I donate a popup comes up.
For sure, yet im sure the viable options that have the most upvotes that also are realistically possible will be coming to hades star at some point. At least some of them hopefully.
I think they're saying they don't want that confirmation prompt, as it's another thing you have to click through
I think you should try to donate, because it clearly states and in practise it only means about if the donation will be publicly showed in the corp or if it will be hidden.
The poppup still comes up. There is no switch off.
try to donate twice and you will see.
Yes but how often are you donating?
Once a month for like a mil maybe
That way you still progress at 95% the same rate
But if everyone does it you still go up by about 20-50 mil a month
Plenty of times a month, yet the amount isn't what matters.
What matters is that its a system that could be improved.
Improvement for a game is not bad.
