#Make blue stars more enjoyable

Blue stars are the worst. Everyone hates blue stars. The only reason to do blue stars is to get rewards, but you have to grit your teeth to finish them. All the other suggestions have concentrated on gameplay changes like improving matchmaking or balancing or nerfing super annoying modules like destiny or leap, which absolutely should be done, but I propose two other modest changes that would make blue stars far more enjoyable:

  1. Allow taunting. This wouldn’t be freeform taunting. There would be a set list of maybe 10-20 preset taunts that you could select from at any point in the blue star, and the taunt would appear as a small speech bubble above your ship so it’s not even that distracting. Suggested taunts could be “neener neener!”, “sucks to be you”, “maybe try to get gud”, “grrrrrr”, and “ur modules are overused”. Taunts could be continually updated at the suggestion of the community.

  2. At the point of death for each player, a selfie is automatically taken. All death selfies will be displayed at the end of the match. Players are incentivized to allow access to the device camera by giving an extra blue star fragment as a reward, but it is not a requirement.

I would play so many more blue stars if these two suggestions were implemented.

  1. If you place 5th in a Blue Star match, the app automatically uninstalls itself.

To come 5th means u lost against an NPC

Dayum that sinks in deep

2nd one wouldn't work for PC players tho

Yeah

#

Imo blue stars are fine at the moment
There is still stuff that could be added to make it more enjoyable but oh welp

#

Do the Devs even look at these posts?

Nothing could be added to make bls better. They could be removed from the game, the only actual option to make them better

It wouldn’t and in fact I’m fairly certain many players would stop playing them all together if this happened

its practically the only place you can play pvp in HS (other than WS which is very limited)

Over half of players don’t pvp

young trail

Well there's still players who do so 🤷‍♂️

And not everyone wants to spend their resources every day doing RS too just to get the croids

I don't think adding taunts is a good idea. Losing a blue star is already a not-enjoyable thing (and it 100% happens to everyone, no-one wins all the time), getting taunted for it will only serve to further put people off the activity. I believe this will run counter to the devs' aim of increasing people's participation in the game

They could do some tweaking to match making to be honest but its probably hard to do because if you did number of modules; you would end up fighting lvl 12 mods with only lvl 3+ bs .. you could add in lvl of RS with matchmaking maybe it would help wether its same as now or number of mods.. Im not even sure what it is now lvl of mods seams to have a huge impact but doesnt matter the RS value of that

Sigh, those people who don't want pvp need another way to grind for credits en hydro, but pvp is like a main pillar for Hades

I agree with your point about pvp being a main pillar of Hades, but I don't think an alternative means of grinding (say: 'violet' stars) should be made available.

Why? Because then some players will grind both blue stars and violet stars, and those who don't like blue stars will still feel unhappy when they compare their progression.

Ultimately, Blue Stars are an optional game mode. If people really hate them, they can just choose not to do them. The price of that choice is slower (but not halted) progression. Seems reasonable to me, you can't expect to get 100% completion (/maximised progression, in this case) from a game unless you engage with 100% of its content
