#Advertise events in game?

would be nice frfr just found out about the blue star one
We all did
and thats the problem 😆
I'm just happy there's an event, it not like this one needs any notice
Lots of people missed today cuz they had already run
Did you? No you're too busy pounding your fists on the floor demanding that the dev remove BLS to actually participate...
I didn’t that’s correct but lots of my Corp did
And I missed on the bob event at launch so 🤷♂️
I finished my bls today half an hour before the announcement 😂
I really feel like an intern walked into the office today and said
"You know, we haven't really run a single event since DN launch credits wise after that single RS Credit Roid doubling...."
100%
Yeah, it really is easier to bash the dev, if you attribute the good ideas applied to the game to someone else...
I think the implication is it’s not a good idea and feels like it’s thrown together at the last possible second.
So some people had to run two BLS instead of one? Idk, doesn't seem the event even deserves a pre announcement. Its very minor.
Some had completed their BLS hours before the announcement and get fucked.
Making an announcement 2 or 3 days before means everyone could wait until after the event started.
Plus, if you know in advance, you could stack the rewards of the previous day too.
the same applies to the exact duration of the event. The BR Event was supposed to last until Monday 25.03.2024, but the BR Event is already over.
What's wrong with expecting an announcement of an event in a game based on credit optimization? And since BLS has a 24-hour rhythm, it would make sense to announce it 25 hours in advance. That way you could optimize your behavior. This has nothing to do with Dev. Bashing to do. It is simply an example of poor communication.
Plenty of examples of that, you just haven't been here long enough. And I'm not referring to dev->player communication.
Just funny to see all the little things players complain about. Oh noo! I missed out on 500K (me) for one day because I didn't know there was an event. Who cares? If you actually play every day and do shipments what percentage of my income is that 500K a whole 10% and less than 1% of my monthly income.
If you haven't learned to look at the big picture with this game that sucks, for you... funny for me.
Suggestion:new api that makes the game 1% harder for looper every time someone buys it. I hate the idea he doesn’t get to enjoy the game like the rest of us
You want someone to build a software interface for me? That's nice of you.
You forgot to define "harder" in the context of looper, since I'm sure your bias is using it in a different way than Webster would expect...
They do give a notice? Right as the events active
Every time a 1% harder hit to the head. Good idea.
Every-time it should just reduce his hydro cap by 1000
Easy fix would be just 24-48 hrs before an event put out the notice
What would be really great would be if events could be part of the big picture.
A 24-48h notice is better than none... but an events calendar would be ideal. Having a weekend event while the US and Canada are celebrating Mother's Day is no big deal if that event is double croid. That's 20 mins/day.
But when that event is CRSE, that could potentially take hours and hours. And yes of course, there is the option to simply not contribute. But if you're in a family, regardless of whether you're a mom, dad, or child - a fair number of people including the Canada-based dev team have to choose between spending time in game, or quality mom time.
Of course it is impossible to account for every holiday, the world over, and not schedule conflicting events for them. (The suggestion isn't to avoid scheduling events.) But having a calendar were international corps can see those in-game events over the course of the coming months would sure be nice for IRL planning.
I appreciate that there is no time-intensive event like corp red star event on US/Canada Father's Day weekend - whether that was already going to be the case based on a pre-set schedule, or was an intentional change, I think it's meaningful and valuable for families where at least one person is playing HS. 😊
its just been rotating on a monthly basis, appears unintentional
also would it hurt to give some notice?
