#daily quest types and tiers

Now we get one daily quest per day, it could be easy like "kill one guardian" and hard like "win a bls with emp on your ship".

I think we could get 3 quests a day, easy-med-hard, we can scale up/down some of the current quests too (like kill 1-10-30 guardians, or be at least 3-2-1 at bls with emp), we could get variety of rewards and reward amounts, like artifacts, creds, maybe even hydro, module pieces, or crystals.

The reason; today I read the quest description, found a miner, hit the crunch module, and it was done. 2 days ago, I played about 6 bls matches to get a win for the same cred amount. (20s vs 20min)

Also, it would be nice if we would get visual clarity on which is a combat, a miner, a transport or a research quest. (And maybe adjust the reward type to the quest type?)

I think there should be daily objectives, weekly objectives, and monthly objectives

I'm kind of with you, but also kind of not. HS had "harder" objectives and some of them were a real proper pain to do. The reason I left a cerb base in my YS was to complete that damn EMP 50 enemy ships objective (hard to believe that I hated EMP in HS, but I digress) or the deliver 500 shipments with comp objective... I'd rather not see a return of those.

I prefer this way now where most objectives take a couple of minutes to complete rather than slogging through arbitrarily increasing goal numbers as a form of difficulty.

I think those should come back, but there should be multiple tiers at a time so those hard ones aren’t your only objective. An objective in line with the old ones like you mentioned should be 1 week, or 3 day objectives, etc. with higher rewards of course.

And the monthly objectives should be somewhat tough, but reward some crystals. This would keep people interested, especially if the objectives fell slightly beyond the lines of every-day tasks.

Killing cerbs, winning some number of blues, WS related …

And of course, they should be skippable, so you’re not losing a whole month because of some lame objective

  1. I'm curious, did you enjoy the old objective system and so want it to come back, or do you think the current one is just even worse than the old one?
  2. If the monthly objectives are similar to daily objectives in that you get one skip per <time period> then it's definitely possible to skip one lame monthly objective just to be stuck with another for a month like what can happen with daily objectives.
  3. I like the idea of long term objectives, but I'd rather they were something else that was more interesting than the current (or old) ones. Activating EMP 500 times for a monthly objective is super lame, and if it was for a module you don't use it would be torture. I don't want to have to tediously activate destiny in RS 500 times even if I do get 500 crystals in return.

There’s definitely room for ideas. I hate the new objectives because they are not interesting. I don’t really care about the rewards much, personally, but that’s just me.

The monthly objectives, I would say, you gave the option once a day to skip it - and the time frame just resets when you do.

EMPing 500 units (as an example) isn’t torture if you use EMP daily and it’s a month long objective (just as an example).

A lot of games uses Quests/Objectives, and many have a Daily, 3 Day, and Weekly. I think HS is more suited to Daily/Weekly/Monthly , but I think this is also flexible.

It needs to be geared around keeping people hooked, right?

This is , however , in addition to the fact that all the game modes need a bit more content, because it’s actually pretty boring

Different topic though
