Newbie question, I tried search and was a bit surprised to not find other users asking...

I can't set up a server myself, probably because of IPv6 + crappy my router. What are my options to setup a server myself? I saw some ads for rental servers... which were all services that no longer exist. Any tips to setup a server for a small group of racers?

I used this video to setup my own server for RaceRoom. The only thing they don't tell you in the video is that you need to have a fixed IP address with your ISP for others to connect. Most ISP's hide their customers behind routers and use a local NAT system.

I was able to request a fixed IP address through my ISP using the phone app they provide to manage my account.

Is that what it's doing. I was wondering why sometimes I can set 25 and others I can set 30 from the drop down. Couldn't figure that out. 👍 My current upload speed is 50Mbps. Good to know as I can change that to 100Mbps 5 days a month. Good for racing nights.
