The game no longer accepts my controller, it still worked yesterday and the controller isn't broken

Sorry its late but I had a similar situation, not exactly sure what fixed it but I’d remove the device and reconnect it. Then turn it on before you open the game, use the base Gamepad preset and hopefully it connects
