#Any eta on premium upgrade packs?

Reason:
Doesn't make sense that someone buying all additional content after buying the premium pack will have to pay over what the premium pack sells for today while already owning let's say 70% of the content in that pack?
has been talked about so many times, even suggested a "collect everthing missing button" to not click every single piece of content. nothing yet. maybe with an updated store one day 🤞🏻
some people delete their Raceroom account, run the game to create a new one and buy Premium pack again. you'll lose all your stats, obviously, since it's a new account, but maybe you don't care about that
I don't care about my stats, I do however care about not wasting money and in this case it is. I don't have a tree that grows money sadly 🙈
I wouldn't mind paying for new content if it atleast were converted to the same price rate as the package I bought.
well, buying new content at 90-something % discount would've been pretty sweet, yes 😄 I look at the prices of new content as a kind of subscription. you pay money sort of regularly and that pays the bills of developers who update the game, improve its features and old content, not only add something new
it doesn't always work fine, of course. for example, if you bought the pack and then dropped the game for a few years, it's like you need to pay the aforementioned "subscription" for all the time you didn't play. which is why I think it would've been nice to have a way to catch up with all the missing content with some discount. but that was suggested many times already and I think devs are aware of that
anyway, you now have all the relevant information, so see what suits you best
if you care about your money, then hop on KCG, where when you finish the race in 8th place for example, you'll win 250 vRP
The premium package is a one time discount (with an extremely high discount). The cars and tracks are relatively cheap already, the only other way would be to offer all cars and tracks with a permanent discount to make them 0,50. if we'd do that, we wouldn't be able to maintain and develop the game further 😅
From the moment content "not owned" is over 70€ (not considering any special extra discount season). It is better to restart and get a new premium pack. The idea of a short period like "once per year/black friday/" with an update to date code at a cost of let's say a fix payment of 30€ (or 3000vrp) and no disccount on what you already have is an option will let game obtain more extra incomes, and for many would be interesting.
Only enthusiasts wanting to keep all content (cars, tracks, liveries) published up to a date would go that way and will let the option to still buy the more recent content. This could be seen just as an extra update by the end of year and before new updates come and you probably will have more cash to develop things.
Some will do yearly, some others will go every two years, and a few will see come back to sim more attractive.
Just as an example, content not owned in my case even having a lot, is over 100€. I am not going to spend that sell by sell for many content i don't need, i won't use... Nogaro or Pau, for example... Or any DTM23 or Ferrari296... Just maybe a car with single skin or a track if it is something really interesting, but probably would pay 30€ per update.
the difference is that the updates are now usually in the form of packs for a price under 30,-, but it's unreasonable to update all available content for a fixed price of 30
in some cases the worth will be under 30, in other cases the worth will be over 300 😄
As said. Actual situation makes better to go on a new premium pack (where game is giving ALL for 70€) instead of offering a fidelity and revenue criteria . Max you are going to earn is 70€ and client disappointment.. but what I would know???
Im not saying that you guys don't have a point, it is a bit weird that you can end up in a situation where forfeiting your account and starting from scratch is the best option.
However, what I really don't get is this way of looking at what you got for your money:
For 5 years you've had access to hundreds of cars and dozens of tracks in sp and mp and you call that wasted money.
For 1 € per month you've had indefinite access to on-demand simracing entertainment and you see that as a loss. I just can't wrap my head around such a pov.
i have not said anything like that...
just to clarify
about waste of money
I quoted a specific message there...
yeah but as said "you guys". Just be sure i don't consider a waste of money.
but an opportunity not seen and "kind of needed" for some old users
I call it wasted money if I remove account and buy it all again like some people suggest 😅 like at that point just make it possible to buy the premium pack again at the same fixed price at any time.
Yes, same price but atleast people who do care about their stats don't lose them.
Like I know I'll buy the new bmw pack, but alot of other stuff seems to not be available in any packs
I have already deleted my account to buy twice the premium pack, I really dont care about my stats cause I drive only hotlap or AI
keep in mind that if you have Citroen WTCC or RUF GT3 or Porsche 911 R (the 2017 model) you'll lose them because they aren't sold anymore and aren't a part of Premium pack because of that
not the sexiest car,s and thereis still the porsche 2019 which is the same 🙂 not a revolution
not sure it's the same. it also has a couple interesting liveries
I have bought the pack in early 2023 and now I have seen it was deleted, so I guess I haven't miss anything
the thing is, these cars aren't deleted. you can't buy them anymore, yes, but if you owned them before then you can still use them
yeah I was talking with a new premium purchase after deleting the account, if you play offline, there is no issue
and there are still ways to get Citroen and RUF GT3, but no way to get the Porsche 2017
ruf and citroen are not the best cars for me, there are far better now 😉
i've never had them, never had the choice to add them. So not a key factor for everyone.
