Do you use otterhud?
I do not
Okay, otherwise i would have said play without it. but well 😅
and crew chief?
it happened with and without crew chief
The graphics issues on Hockenheim ring are getting pretty bad. I might have to see if there's just a setting my GPU doesn't like
Try and get your cpu to run at max , and not powersaving etc so it sits at its max 4.1ghz because if its trying to save energy and dropping to 2.9 ghz that will cause stutters
Use thepcs power settings to create an ultra profile , and change settings so it doesnt powersave
Under Processor Power Management, I have Min processor state and max processor state set at 100%
I dropped all the graphics settings to medium and it seems to have resolved the stuttering on Hockenheim. I'll have to do a longer session to confirm
You should use something to monitor your cpu and stuff, f.e. opening taskmanager and and have a quick look when game stutters if something was busy, or others processes are working too in that moment.
I might do that. I thought I fixed it but uhhh Salzberg got pretty bad after a while
for me, decreasing resolution worked well
Installing and starting to use DXVK (vulkan) made a big difference for me. Got occasionally pretty bad stutters and fps drops before, both offline and online, with big grids despite good system but now it's butter smooth with huge fps boost. A real game changer for my system (ryzen 7 5800x & rtx3080) graphics basically maxed out.
@jagged torrent is Raceroom DX9?
Yes
do you just copy over the d3d9 folder to steamapps/common/raceroom racing experience/Game/x64?
This video explains the install in Raceroom. I just copied the x64 folder and then files. Very simple. I use the latest 2.1 version. I didn't even edit the system variable to enable the dxvk hud. https://youtu.be/cYcunmawBBA
Spotted by Kiwibrick on AusNZ simracing. Here be dragons, install at your own risk.
Download DXVK from here:
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/
Install the X64 directory from the zip file to your RaceRoom x64 directory.
Move d3d9.dll & dxgi.dll to the Raceroom x64 directory. Don’t mix 32 and 64 bit versions!
Set the System variable t...
well, I'm not sure it has completely worked
but also, it made the motion blur into hyperspace and it has made my wheel unhappy
I never use motion blur so can't comment on that. But very strange if it affected your wheel in some way. 🧐 I've read that it doesn't help everyone so there must be something in the system that makes it work for some and not for others.
Your having fps issues but your running motion blur ?
so I didn't get any of the worst graphics issue which is graphics stop, sound keeps going on Salzburgring when I turned on the Afterburner FPS counter - however I did have FPS flying all over the place from 113-205
i found reseting gpu settings to default sorted things a lot for me once, diddnt know i had altered them ..
I am running some driver updates
