Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Here, "poste" acts as a qualifier, giving additional information regarding the noun "bureau". In such cases, no article is used (I assumed you meant article and not pronoun)
to qualify a noun with another noun, the structure is as such: [qualified noun] + [preposition] + [qualifying noun]
let me give you another example: sac à main (handbag)
you're not talking about any hand. Instead, you're talking about a bag that can fit in your hand, "main" is just a qualifier here
last example: "chaise de cuisine" vs "chaise de la cuisine"
both work, but mean different things.
"chaise de cuisine" is a chair whose purpose is to be put in a kitchen
"la chaise de la cuisine" is the chair that is located in the kitchen (you're referring to a specific kitchen here)
Ok I think I get it
That or a chair that "belongs" in the kitchen (the table from the kitchen)
