Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
"Dont tell person A" might be something like "Ne dis rien à A" so "dis-moi !" might be more natural here, idk. Just "raconte !" without the moi also seems like something someone might say.
"Raconte !" sounds kind of like "spill it!" to me.
"Allez, raconte-moi" sounds a little less forceful in my head, more wheedling.
I associate raconter mostly with telling stories so if it's something more simple, dire might make more sense
