depends what you mean. you'll probably be understood, but it will really stand out and will give you a very strong accent

You can use pretty much any r, french doesn't have any other rhotics so it'd be rare for it to cause confusion

For what it's worth you can even use a Spanish sounding r and it's "okay", I think I've heard French native speakers have rs like that (they are old and speak with regional accents)

But that means it's technically part of the French ecosystem
