Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

I see
do you think you could follow some native media (would it be videos, books, games, anything), even if you don't understand everything?

Okay, so you're already in a good spot.
If you can follow media in a comfortable manner, doing so on a regular basis will help you remember what you forgot and intuit the language so you don't have to learn every rule.
I would recommend doing that and taking note of what you're having trouble, notably grammar points as this seems to be your focus. After some reading or listening, you can then search those topics on the internet. Why is this sentence built this way, what is this construction.
You can use chatGPT to help you deconstruct these sentences if you don't understand the grammar behind it, but always double check using proper sources afterwards, as it often makes up false justifications.

It's probably much easier to get a lot of input than output for you given your situation
By understanding the rules better and getting more experience with understanding the language, you'll be able to more naturally create your own sentences and get understood.
Of course, understanding and producing sentences are two different skills, and to truly train production, you also need to start implementing writing or speaking on a regular basis at some point. You can do so online in many spaces, just find French speaking friends or French spaces (like this server)

of course, feel free to ask questions on this server if you're looking to better understand some grammar points, why a sentence is built the way it is, or how to convey a specific idea
