#qui/que (les pronoms relatifs)

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Random ass tips it gave me because I've been using AI that came with my coding IDE 🤣
those should be "qui", but the reason is because they would be subject in the following sentences:
"les films sont amusants"
"le livre est sur la table"
"que" would be for qualifying nouns that would be objects:
"prends le livre que tu veux" => "le livre" would be object in the sentence "tu veux le livre"
while this usually translates to "qui" is followed by a verb and "que" is followed by a noun/pronoun, this isn't always the case, notably because of stylistic inversion
"la souris que mange le chat" means the same as "la souris que le chat mange" (the mouse eaten by the cat)
meanwhile, "la souris qui mange le chat" would mean something else (the mouse that is eating the cat)
Merci beaucoup... the mouse/cat sentences are very enlightening and it unlocked a different way for me to look at these.
