Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Depends how you count them
like
faire
parfaire
contrefaire
surfaire
défaire
are those one verb, or five?
I don't think it's particularly useful to count them anyways
You just need to learn them all
Pro tip don't learn a list of 200 verbs now or you're gonna lose your mind
Just learn what you need as you encounter it
@thin wagon Haven't they all got the same irregular structure by just adding the prefix?
@past sequoia After memorising approx. 200 verbs, which aren’t even that irregular (excluding the mega verbs), the whole problem of irregularities in verbs will diminish once and for all. Thanks.
AI actually estimates a total of 180 irregular verbs. Anything beyond that number is considered passive vocab. and is most likely even archaic (excluding other dialects).
