Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I checked on an older version of a dictionary app called "Antidote" and it said that it was indeed an anglicism. The direct translation of "set" would be "ensemble", but it sounds a bit too mathy to my ears, so I'd instead say something like "tout un tas d'équipement" if we want to focus on the quantitative value of the equipment (e.g. if you've collected lots of loot), or "du bon équipement" if we instead focus more on its qualitative value (e.g. we get some rare equipment that also turns out to be pretty good).
I feel like un set carries a different meaning bc it implies the elements are meant to be together
