Note that in general French uses the same preposition for going somewhere and being somewhere

So just because you're using aller doesn't mean you should use à; instead, the right preposition to use is dictated by the noun

In this case as Eowyn said, the idiomatic choice with tombe is "sur la tombe (de quelqu'un)"
