Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Should it be:
Vous essayez les/des baskets blanches?
Ils achètent les/des bottes brunes.
I think les but I wanna check
both are correct but mean different things
Well it's asking me
maybe it's context related
Are you (formal) trying on the white sneakers?
They (m.) are buying the brown boots.
Sorry yeah it totally is
"les" is for a specific instance of something, you know which ones you're talking about (usually translates as "the")
"des" is for non specific instances. Could be any set of those (usually translates as nothing, or "some")
so what do you think?
So probably les for both right?
